  1. PM Nightcrawler, he has a set of 17x8 & 17x9 circlas for sale
  2. Come on luke, 1000's of horsepower is better than 24
  3. Public Holiday Darren Tis the day off for Adelaide Cup.. Screw the horse racing, lets get real horsepower back in SA!
  4. Never used Crispin Crash, as I always go next door to Langley Motor bodies Have known ken for 10+ years now, always happy with his work. I have however seen some nice cars parked at Crispin. Also, why do dickheads make lowball offers when your selling cars? ie. ~4k under asking price, WTF?!
  5. I'll pass on that offer. Add ~$2k and you have a chance of buying this car. If you dont want to pay near my asking price, thats cool; but good luck finding a car in the same condition.
  6. ^ Must be a Pirates car: ARRR.... BEWARE! LOL ** Yes im bored
  7. With clipsal on, cops will be in force. Stay away from the usual high profile spots (esp. anzacs, bay, city etc)
  8. Meh, shouldnt be too wet. They are only predicting possible showers for Saturday Sunday (the important days). A bit of drizzle on friday would make qualifying interesting!
  9. Brendan thats BS! So did they stuff up the surgery last time around and that's why the tendons are dislocating or is it just because of how your knee is?
  10. ^Havoc that's just plain insulting I said the price is negotiable, not I want to give the car away. If you are serious, come up with a serious offer.
  11. Veron will be there as part of the Murray Walkers extreme machines display. It will NOT be racing. http://www.clipsal500.com.au/2008-power10/..._oncircuit.html
  12. Come and have a look, you wont be dissapointed! Price is negotiable.
  13. Yup, never used to miss the top fuellers being in adelaide. Top Alcohol and Door Slammers were good value too. Started going when i was 8 (in 1988 with my dad) and went almost every year till they stopped coming (around 1999 I think it was) For this I severly resent Bob Jane's management of AIR, and I hope this new track goes ahead real quick and f$#ks up his sale prospects for AIR, PRICK!
  14. Yep, I miss my eyeballs watering from the raw fuel pouring out the exhaust on the startline, and then my chest and body shaking that much my vision goes blury for that 5.0 secs following (well now they do ~4.8s!) ..... ahhh memories
  15. I would kill for a $75k mortgage... think more in the region of $280k and thats with us paying it off like crazy for the last 2 years!
  16. haha, no nappy changes practiced yet! My best mate (well his wife) just had their 2nd child, so have a 3 week old to practice on if i choose... however Im happy to wait and have my wife teach me LOL As for the baby bonus, it will be helping to pay for my wife to have more time off work. We are looking at her having a full 7-8 months off work so need all the $$ we can get for that (damn mortgage!)
  17. Thanks for the well wishes Tangles The gearbox is actually the same box used in the local AWD magnas (although released 10 years later lol) BUT parts are available locally for them, so that removes that worry. The Torque Converter seal is known to be a little fragile on the trans, but thats about a $500 fix, apart from that they are fairly bullet proof. A good trans cooler and regular fluid flush and they'll last 300,000+ kms.
  18. Ahh, didnt realise you've been back at work so long! We'll have to catch up for a coffee next week during the day. Monday or Tuesday, let me know when suits you best, and where (keep it close to your work so easy on the knees )
  19. Hey Brendan, you still off work or back workin in the city now?
  20. Do it like the Nurburgring, pay per lap? Really, its the drag strip they need to get up and running first and foremost. We have a circuit in mallala, speedway, but we have NO DRAGS! The day top fuellers return to SA will be one of the happiest day of my life!
  21. Totally agree Carl, thats why I ended up with legnum. I wanted to stay a nissan faithful, but after seeing a stagea and a legnum in the flesh, it had to be the legnum.. Plus 5sp tiptronic and AYC couldnt be matched by the stagea.
  22. Neither, Im taking a side step Brooke is 17 weeks pregnant (almost half way) so the Skyline is going to make way for a far more family friendly car. I have bought a Mitsubishi Legnum from Japan; it's on the boat in about a week. So the skyline has to go to cover the cost and make room. Here is the new car: 2.5L TT V6, AWD, Active Yaw Control 5sp Tip Tronic (technology developed by mitsi, bought by porsche for use in their cars) Active Stability Control Traction Control 260ps ~ 191kw Should be a good fun family bus
  23. Whether it follows events truthfuly or not, I couldnt give a shit. Its good TV to watch! And; if the "program could influence jurors in a forthcoming gangland murder trial" lock the jurors away and let eveyone else watch it, not ban the whole state haha.
  24. http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0...5006301,00.html New article published today. Doesnt seem to hold any new info, except to say land will hopefully be secured in the next 3 months, not 12 like the original article. Also interesting the quotes from ANDRA chief; hopefully with a new track we may get Competition Drags back in SA (about time!)
  25. Thats what I was wondering. Met someone last saturday night who said she knew him and that he was racing in "the GT cars at the clipsal 500" but didnt know any more details. My parents knew the wallis family from way back and they were into racing porches for a long time, particularly in the old porsche cup
