Hi all, I bought these rims in the hope of fitting them to a Legnum I was interested in buying. As such the sale of the car has fallen through and I'm now looking to move the wheels on. BIM Creative Studio wheels are made in Japan by Bridgestone. BIM Creative Studio is a sub-brand of Bridgestone similar to Advan is sub-company of Yokohama Tyre. They have recently re-branded the BIM ranges to be "Downhill Special" but as you can see from the link, the BIM is still in the URL http://www.bs-awh.ne.jp/bim/index.html Specs of the wheels are: 18x8.5" +36 offset 235/40/18 tyres all round (3 different brands) Some shoulder wear on the tyres, most have 4-5mm tread in centre, one tyre is flat (apparently has puncture?) Painted rattle can black. The wheels do have gutter rash, which I was going to sand/smooth and have the wheels blasted and powdercoated. There is one wheel which may not come up 100% smooth, but once coated won't be able to really see much. NOW as I havent had chance to refinish the wheels yet, I'm offering the following options: Buy them as is - fix them up yourself $500 I have the tyres removed, Wheels blasted and powdercoated in your choice of colour, and I keep the tyres $700 I have the tyres removed, Wheels blasted and powdercoated in your choice of colour, and I pay for tyres to be refitted $800 Note: Willing to sell the wheels only interstate, I keep the tyres. Postage will depend on location.

Can you please show a shot of how the wheels sit in relation to the guard? Also how the tyres fit? will give a better idea of width and offset. Thanks

Your reason is want to go back to 18s - is this a typo or you are after different 18s?

OK so they had a work experience person work on your car - he made a mistake. The workshop then paid to have your car towed, corrected their error of the water pump, fan bolts etc, and gave the car back to you all without additional charge? Sorry but that is excellent service as far as I'm concerned. They may have tried to wipe their hands of it, but corrected it the very next day. I have experience MUCH worse from other workshops so I don't see the need for the criticism

MY07 or MY08 Liberty GT Spec B Sedan Manual Not a big as a JZX, better on insurance than an EVO or STi, but with all the STi running gear (2.5T, 6 speed etc). Sure SLIGHTLY heavier, but still heap of fun: And with a few simple external mods look even more sexual (plenty of JDM K2 gear on this one)

Well there you go, didn't realise there was a shit-storm about this in the past. He wasn't "fanging it" or anything silly, so I'll just say he's one lucky young lad, and I hope his dad always gets his car back in one piece

To some extent there may be some jealousy, as I would love to have driven a supercar when on my Ps However, as a father as well, there is no way that I would let my son drive a car with that sort of potential while only on P-plates, especially with a mate in the passenger seat. Temptation when out on your own (or with friends) can be very powerful and often cloud better judgement.

Again? I'm guessing somethings been said about this person before?

At glenelg for lunch yesterday, and saw a red R35, plates R35 TT (or something) with P plates on it.. Thought - ahh someone couldnt control themselves, but when it got closer, had some pimple faced teenager driving it with his pimply friend in the passenger seat!! Obvoiusly driving daddy's car, but seriously, who would let their P-Plater son drive a $130,000+ car?! WTF?!

Anyone Know Any Good Powder Coaters In Adelaide?
Hotwire replied to DK 33's topic in South Australia
And what was the point of posting that? just trying to improve your e-penis post count? -

Is that price just to blast and coat centres? Reason I ask is if it would surely be different for a complete rim as the surface area would easily double if you're coating the inner of the rim, not just centre spokes. -

AAA Powdercoaters in Losdale - haven't used them yet, BUT they do their own blasting and coating, whereas many will outsource the blasting making it more expensive. Have been quoted $40 per rim blast & coat -
Due to the East-West of the Legnum, no dropping shafts as when you actually manage to get the front driveshafts out, say goodbuy to your g/box oil! LOL

**SIGH** Must EVERY thread on here turn into a shitfight? He wants to take some photo's, and is asking if people wouldn't mind donating a few $$ to help him out. If he gets bookings out of it, great, however knowing how much of a tightass everyone is when it comes to paying for photo's he'll probably get nothing but the company for the night. Leave him alone FFS

I'm gessing XR5 Turbo for Andrew - following Nick's Path, he's addicited to FWD now

Michael, WTF!?! You back in adelaide just for a week or two or didn't like it up in Byron? Might see if I can come out with the Liberty, but will depend on Lachlann... speaking of which contact me if you're in town for a few days/weeks as I would love some decent portraits of Lachlann & us! Cheers Lee

Stock for stock would be fairly close call. 0-60 Legnum would shit it in. 0-100 would be closer as R34 would have better top end
