I ended up buying the Ohlins units after calling Labo Carrozzeria and confirming that they will still repair them. They answered the phone immediately and said as long as they aren't bent from say, being in an accident, they can still overhaul discontinued models. They will replace the pillow uppers with new ones as well. Hope that is useful information for someone out there. (oh, and if you don't like pillow uppers, they offer rubber ones now too).

The standard b6s don't have the additional circlip grooves though, and are valved differently right? I believe that would be how you guys are getting more than 30mm of lowering out of b6s, is it not? Since the car is 390/380 standard to get to 350/340 you'd need 40mm of drop which is beyond what a standard b6 can handle at least according to Bilstein (and beyond what my non adjustable links can handle too, but that's a separate issue) And as far as I can tell Gary isn't doing the modified ones anymore? So I could make my own monotube s-tunes with some b6s and springs, but I don't think I could go as low as you guys do with the modified ones even if I changed out my links and used even lower springs. To do that I'd need b8s and but it doesn't look like they have them for the r32. So I'd have to use coilovers IF I wanted to do that, but as far as I can tell the only monotube in production for the 32 gtst is the tein monoflex, or MCA in aus / meister in the UK?

I actually don't care if they need to be serviced in Japan, I have a Japanese phone number, debit card, and address. BUT, since they're discontinued I'm not spending $700 on used shocks unless I know they can be rebuilt to factory specs...have to phone them. Are the Japanese Ohlins DFV any good, and are they better or worse than the Bilsteins with matching springs?

Nismo was -20/-15, and 5.3/3.9. It's higher than what sydneykid recommends but I don't see how I would get a 40mm drop with standard b6s since they say 30mm max. As for the rates, I don't see anything wrong with them? They might be a bit soft for a trackday but I also have arc swaybars. I do imagine those spring settings were designed to work with stock or nismo links, which is what I have. If I went lower I'd have to change to adjustables yeah?

Just looked into buying new suspension for mine. Here's what I came up with (I DO NOT LIVE IN AUSTRALIA!) Anyone got any other ideas or recommendations for what I can get in JP or USA? 1. Bilstein B6: Are these discontinued? The GTS models only show on the Bilstein AU site. 2. Koni: Only available for GTR. 3. Ohlins: Only available for GTR 4. Nismo: Discontinued 5. KYB: super special for street is discontinued, they only have new SR which is not really meant for lowering springs. 5. Cusco: Street Zero and Street Zero A still available, but the spring rates only go as low as 8/6 6. Greddy: Only greddy street is, still available but also 8/6 7. Tein: Will make as special order for me anything they used to have, so I can get just springs (soft or medium) or coilovers (super street, flex, mono flex, super drift) they also will let me customize, I was thinking maybe mono flex with softer springs, don't know if I can also change from pillow to rubber mount? I was also considering just ordering springs from them, but then I realized I might not be able to get dampers to suit them, judging by the above. 8. HKS: Discontinued 9. Apexi: n1 damper available but is 9/8 10. Try my luck at yahoo auctions and rebuild used shocks?

int Nismo 330f steering wheel
Matvei27 posted a topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I have one extra Nismo 330f steering wheel. There are one or two marks on the metal but the leather is like new. Overall 9/10 condition. I would like $999 USD OBO with no horn button or for an additional $200 USD OBO I will give you one of my extra old school logo Nismo horn buttons. These are going for a fortune now on Yahoo, but make me an offer. -

I'm not in a location where the vehicle has to be inspected. So my question is more like does this affect handling, alignment, or structural integrity in any way such that it would be better off fixed? Or, is it just cosmetic? And, for rust prevention, is that 3m stuff I linked the right idea or do you mean something else by undercarriage coating?
-
This is what I was referring to: https://www.amazon.com/3M-03584-Professional-Rubberized-Undercoating/dp/B002H9CMCQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1539126833&sr=8-1&keywords=3m+rubberized+undercoating Is that different?

So, spray some undercoat to prevent rust and leave it?

My driver's side under-floor rail had an unfortunate meeting with a wrongly placed jack stand. How bad is this and can I get it repaired? How?

Some of the buttons work, some don't. I can control the temperature, but can't seem to change the fan speed or use the off button. AMB doesn't work and neither does defrost. Should I replace the unit or does this sound like a wiring/sensor issue?

int Gauges retro Nismo and Defi RS
Matvei27 replied to Matvei27's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Nismo gauges are sold, someone please buy my Defi gauges. If you buy more than one I will give you a discount. -
I am reassembling my interior and can't for the life of me remember how to reattach the glove box striker to the dashboard. Diagram says it's attached with two screws, but there's nothing in the holes on the dash for them to screw into? All I really need is someone to open their glovebox, unscrew those two screws and take a picture for me to show me what's underneath the striker. Maybe I'm missing some metal clip? Will buy someone a beer if they can help!!!
