  1. Right. I don't want to run it over 14psi as that is the safe limit. (or so the tuning guide says) But up top you said to run it at 12, so I was wondering if I should stop at 12 or if I should go to 14. So, do I want to get the one with the alloy or the plastic compressor wheels. Does it even matter since the thing is still ceramic? And still need to know if I will need new injectors/AFM with this. Hoping to just order all the necessary bits at once to put it on and try it out; I don't want to spend all the time putting on a new turbo to then find out I need to order other stuff.
  2. It's 3 inches instead of whatever size the regular turbo outlet/elbow is. So if you have a 3 inch front pipe it would match that. Less restriction than the stock elbow, or so they say. Is the alloy compressor version worth it over the plastic ones? They say the RB25 unit is good for up to 14psi of boost, but are you saying I should just keep it at 10~12 to avoid heatsoak? Am I going to need new injectors and a new AFM with this thing too? If I am aiming at keeping it at around 200kw for the SMIC, that is right on the limit of both of those as well.
  3. I speak Russian and Japanese. English is still my first language though because I am from the US. I was calling it a turbine because in Japanese that is what turbo units are referred to as (the whole thing) so I keep looking at catalogs for HKS units and such and that is what they are listed for sale as. Any difference between the S1 and S2 units or are all the R33 RB25 ones the same? Your thoughts on cams/gears? Will the Tomei turbo elbow I have (for RB20/25) affect responsiveness/spool times at all?
  4. Will the RB25 turbine lag more in the low end or are there really no drawbacks? Is there a particular version of it I should look for when purchasing? Would you recommend cams+gears to improve response or would I start to make too much power for a SMIC to cope with (either R34 or ARC)
  5. I should clarify: these come with replacement ARC links.
  6. Can you use this without the Blitz BOV? Can you put up more pictures of the other side?
  7. They're pricey, but that's the original price they retailed for years ago. This is for someone who appreciates the made in Japan quality. Also, it is very hard to get a set of these and very few companies made *hollow* sway bars for the R32 GTS and S13. Hollow gives you the benefit of increased weight savings. Largus also made a set, but these are long discontinued as well. Tanabe ones were not of particularly high quality and KTS only makes the rear (no front). PS These are 3 point adjustable in the rear so you can adjust your trim settings. The front is fixed.
  8. Hi guys, Just got off the phone with ARC (the other ARC, auto-refine, not Abbey Road; common misconception) who make the hollow-type sway bars. These are awesome sway bars, made in Japan of the highest materials. The rear sway bar compatible with the HCR32 (R32 GTS-t) and S13 (Silvia) is technically discontinued, but if I order in batches of 10~15 of them they are willing to reprint some for us! Price for this rear sway bar is 54,000 JPY a piece. ARC sway bars are extremely rigid and thick, but are hollow for weight savings. Compatibility: HCR32 (R32 GTS-t and other 2wd R32 variants) S13 Silvia We can also order the front sway bar for the HCR32 should you want a matching set. The price is 43,500 per unit, and there is no minimum quantity. There is no front bar available for the S13 Silvia. Pictured is what is included in a typical ARC kit. This particular image is of the Z32 bars. I will give 3 months for us to fill the 10~15 rear bar threshold. These are coming direct from ARC (Auto-Refine) @ auto refine.co.jp They will be shipped to you, anywhere in the world, at your expense. You can contact me by PM or by email at mvevitsis at icloud.com disclaimer: I am not making money on this sale. The amount you will be charged is the exact amount the item costs plus shipping. I just want one for myself, and need some friends to come along for the ride. Please let people at other forums know to contact me if they wish to get an ARC bar. Thanks!
  9. What about the HKS 2530? Could I get away with that? Basically I want to install a *slightly* larger turbo to run more boost, but don't want something huge and laggy and want to keep it within the confines of side mounts. Street car, stealth, fog lights, etc. I can get a HKS 2530 for around 2x the price of a completely rebuilt RB25 turbine. Ideally I would get a ARC 105mm side mount, but I have not been able to find one in good shape. I imagine with that I could run a HKS2530 with bigger injectors and a new afm and make quite a bit more power than the stock turbine. As long as I keep the R34 SMIC I can't really go above the limits of the injectors/afm.
  10. I already have a R34 SMIC. I am more asking if you can upgrade the turbine on this without going for a full FMIC. I believe even the return flows will require me to ditch the twin fog lamps.
  11. What do you guys think of installing a RB25DET Turbine (a refurbished one, obviously) on a R32 GTS-t with a RB20DET running a R34 GT-T side mount intercooler? Will I just heatsoak it? (i.e. does this require an upgrade to front mount or can we still use the side mount at this level?) Would like to hear if anyone has tried it as well, either with the GT-T SMIC or an aftermarket SMIC. Not keen to wreck my front aero bumper and ditch the fog lights. I currently have the stock turbine at 12psi with a AVC-R. I imagine to get similar response out of a larger turbine I would need to up the power more, but I want to know if I can safely do so within the limits of the SMIC. Thanks guys.
  12. I really want these. They still sell the front ones but the rear ones are discontinued. So I really need to find a rear one used. Someone on here was trying to sell one a few months back but I don't know what happened to that. Will offer big $$$$
  13. Do you have all the boot carpet pieces? I need the left and right sides so that when I install a tower bar I can cut the extra set and not mine
  14. I want your R34 GTT side mount intercooler. I would preferably like one that has already been modified to fit a R32 (I have a GTS-t) I will offer more money for one that has been modded already. Looking for something in good shape.
  15. I'm looking for a 1996 Nismo complete catalog. I want yours. I will pay $50 USD plus shipping to me. 1997 or 1998 also probably okay.
  16. The stock speedo only reads to 180 though. It sounds to me like the less sketchy thing to do would be to reset the Nismo unit to zero so that the total mileage is just the sum of my two odometer units.
  17. That's why I bought it, because of the fact that it included the complete service history. Otherwise you don't know what you're getting. Should I reset the Nismo speedo to zero, or should I match it to the car's original odometer? If I match it to the original odometer, if I switch the odometers in the future they would have to be recalibrated again. If I reset the Nismo to zero, then the total mileage would be the sum of the two odometers.
  18. The 66k original kilometers on the car are real, I have all the service records since the day it was manufactured and there are no discrepancies.
  19. I have a R32 GTS-t I also have a Nismo 260kp/h speedo. Problem: I bought the speedo used. So, my car has 66k on it, but the speedo I got on eBay has around 100k. I believe originally when Nismo was selling these things, they sold them with 0 kilometers on it so that when you swapped it in the number on your old speedo plus the number on the new speedo was the total mileage. Anyway, what can I do about this odometer situation? Is there anyway to reset the odometer of the Nismo speedo I just bought so that I can install it into my car without someone else's mileage being noted on it? I'm not trying to do anything illegal here, I just want to get my new speedo installed and get my money's worth.
  20. How do I contact this guy so I can buy his power FC? lol
  21. still waiting for a reply
  22. Wait, you mean I *can* use the new EL hand controller with this? I believe someone on here was selling a power FC unit without a hand controller, so if I can buy the EL unit, I will just PM him about that. I know the SMIC will be tough to find, but I'd prefer the ARC unit over the GT-T one to be honest. They come up on Yahoo Auctions occasionally but I missed the last one. I'll also entertain offers for a R34 GT-T unit if someone has one that they want to part with. I'll offer more for one if the pipe work has already been done to fit it to a R32.
  23. Hi guys, Posting here from the USA! I have a R32 GTS-t Type M, Zenki. (aka HCR32). I want to get an ARC SMIC (part # M075HR32G03 or # M105HR32G03 for the 105mm version) as well as a Power FC + Commander unit. I know these are *really* hard to find, but I can't complete my intended build without these parts. I will offer at or above market value for these. Note that the Power FC *must* have the proper hand unit, as the commander is quite difficult to find on its own. Thanks!
