do a search on the forum dude. Apparently they are illegal cos they emit harmfull gasses into our atmosphere - according to epa and police!! - just another way to raise money from enthusiasts. HKS ssq are good - not too loud aswell. my mates got a turbosmart megasonic or somethin and its faaarkin loud!! He scares the shit out of old ladies when he drives past em!!

Im runnin a hks mushroom/pod filter and a hks ssq bov and I get some good sounds from that. (putschh and flutter etc...) The pod filter have a very noticeable sucking sound. You will notice it as son as you install it and give it a boot!! Your bov dependes on how loud and type of sound ur after and they dont enhance performance at all. Oh yeah - they are illegal aswell!!

You can get a similar sound from a pod that you get from a bov. Also a good pod will slightly improve ur exhaust note.

sweet! I live about 35 km south of narooma and that purple gtr has been seen around a bit now. There is also a white r33 gtr gettin around Narooma too. Dont know either of em though. Man, next time ur down this way let us know on the south coast thread !! Might be able to meet up for bbq, cruise, piss-up or whatever!! I get excited about spotting lines down this way as it such a rare thing If any of you ACT guys "spot" lines when ur down down this way let us south coasters know as chances are you may have seen one of us!

woooh - another nengun thread!! Seriously - Brent(nengun) is a good supplier and will do his best so you can avoid paying any duties. It depends on what you are after. smaller items like gauges, ecu etc... will have a better chance of getting through customs than larger items like intercoolers, rims etc.. Also, some items may be exempt from any duties but none are exempt from gst. Ask Brent about this and he will clear it up for you. Most of nenguns stuff is at a great price and if you are unlucky enough to be stung by customs then you are probably still better off than if you purchased locally. I think the duties tax is about 15% and gst is about 10%. It is true that brent is known to be slow to respond to emails but once your item is away he will keep you informed. A friend of mine(wink) got a power fc from nengun for $1100 delivered and it arrived gift wrapped within 10 days of payment without any further duties or taxes. mmmgtir is correct in saying that there are many threads on importing parts and there is also many threads on nengun. you should have a good search around the forum for more info.

What a great response so far. I have updated the buyers list and we have 8 confirmed interests. We only need 2 more to qualify for the $510 price. This shouldnt be a problem. As soon as we get the numbers up then I will send everyone payment details and get the ball rolling. Paul.
