  1. does adjusting your engine cylinders or rpm limit effect the tune in anyway?
  2. Hey guys, Just got my safc installed in the rb20. Just a quick question for all of you that have one installed on your rb's. On your RPM tacho readout on the SAFC does yours only go to 6000rpm??? just wondering coz my safc readout and my tacho readout are different by 500rpm. My tacho has always been laggy (rb20 in s13) so im just wondering which one is correct. Thanks, Joh
  3. never mind i found it. for all those who dont have it i can send it to you or it is on the apexi usa site under SAFC II Wiring (Japanese). You gotta download the japanese text support for Abode then for some mysterious reason it displays in english... if you dont d/l the jap text support you get blank pages...
  4. yeh we couldnt find the wiring document for the safc2 on the apexi usa site. do you have the wiring manual for the safc2 in english? would you be able to email it to me??? or just tell me what wires are what on the safc2. thanks, Joh
  5. Hi All, Does anyone have the english translation for the safc2 wiring. or can you tell me what each of the colour wires are to be attached to on the ecu. thanks, Joh
  6. will this turbo be suitable for a rb20? or is it gonna be to laggy? what mods are needed to support this turbo? my car is basically stock as far as fuel management goes, just a bosch 040 pump.
  7. does your steering feel looser??? same thing happened to me im in the process of chaging the lower control arm and the castor rods, HOPEFULLY that fixes it... let us know how you go, im very interested as to what it is...
  8. its fairly easy to do yourself, took me 20 mins to do mine in the s13 and thats taking the entire assembly out and putting another in.
  9. glad to hear it ended up being just the wheel balance
  10. i would also get a wheel balance. BUT if that fails which im thinking it might. you need new tyres. I had the exact same problem, the car would voilently shake on exactley 110km/h. i know exaclty how you feel its very unsettling to have the car shake like that. just go get a wheel balance, if that doesnt fix it, first replace your front tyres and it should fix your problem, if not try replacing the back also and it should be all smooth. i know its an expensive fix but i racked my brains trying to find the problem and ended up getting 4 new tyres for rego and it was fixed.
  11. i was thinking if i got two 12 inch on the front it might restrict airflow thru the radiator itself. thanks for the replies...
  12. Hi All, Just would like to know what the disadvantages of mounting the thermo fan/s to the front of the radiator as opposed to the back like normal. I've got no room in behind my new radiator to fit a fan , so i was going to put it on the front. So what are the disadvantages of doing this? Thanks, Joh
  13. isnt the whole purpose of ABS to stop you from locking up???
  14. i measure mine and they are around 24mm, so under the minimum. wayyy under the minimum.
  15. does anyone know if it would affect the pedal feel?
  16. Hi All, Just wondering what the side affects are of having the brake rotors under the minimum thickness (28mm r32 gtst front rotor). So yeh what are the side affects??? I have a sneaking suspiscion mine are under... Thanks, Joh

  20. i dont have a silvia with an rb20 nope, not me
  21. no dont take it off... you need it for when you use the aircon and also i think it comes on when the coolant temp get a bit high e.g. in traffic... if you dont have it there you WILL have overheating issues with the aircon...
  22. This is what i use and it seems to be working A.O.K: Oil: Motul Turbolight 4100 Oil Filter: Cooper Z145A Fuel Filter: Ryco Z201 Plugs: NGK BCPR6ES
  23. oh and ure battery might have gone flat hehe...
  24. theres a way to crank it over without actually starting it. this will help build a little oil pressure and circulate a bit of oil... other then that it should be ok... if it were me, i'd just start it...
