  1. have you checked your oil level, usually if your oil is low it will make this noise. also your motor will be noisier then usual... check ure oil level and give it a top up if needed. i usually top it up to just above the full mark, about 3mm above...
  2. Hi All, I have an rb20det. I was changing the spark plugs over the weekend and i noticed that on cylinder no.1 (closest to front?) there was oil around the coil pack rubber boots. Like it was sitting in that space. There is NO oil in the spark plugs, just around the top area if you get what i mean. Like on the engine floor, around the hole where the plug goes in, but NOT in the hole... sorry hard to explain. Anybody know why it is there and what it could be??? Thanks, Joh
  3. mine lags also! but i have an rb20 in my sil. anyone know how to fix this???
  4. ok adjusted that rod, brakes do feel better but still not perfect. but it does feel a whole lot better...
  5. omg that could be it, i will try it, thanks heaps... how much should i adjust it?
  6. i went to the mechanic today and they tried bleeding the brakes... it is slightly better but still mushy...i dont know what else to do i guess i have to put up with it, damn cars!
  7. hey cefiro, can you do me a favour...on your BMC can you check for me, when you screw the lid on, is it tight to screw on or does it go on fairly easy??? i noticed in your other thread your cap is yellow, mine is black? maybe its the wrong cap cause when i screw mine on its really easy to screw on...thinking maybe its not sealing properly hence no pressure in there???
  8. yes bleeding all 4, the brake pedal went hard when i did 3, then when i bled the last one (front driver side) it went back to what it was before, CRAP! im taking it to a mechanic tomorrow, hopefully he can find something, if not i'll have to do it bit by bit...
  9. its on the top...
  10. so was mine... still going strong. but then again i dont rev it that high, no point with stock turbo.
  11. are there any kits for s13's?
  12. no luck yet, no im not using the old fluid haha, peddle is still mushy. really annoys me. i got it booked into the mechanic maybe he can sus it out, hopefully i just did a crap bleed and he does it good, hopefully... i'll let you know
  13. what about in terms of handling???
  14. yeh like wat everyone else said... i cant believe you didnt at least upgrade your fuel pump and get an fmic... i wouldnt even dream of putting a bigger turbo without those. or maybe you just forgot to add it to your list of mods coz they are such obvious things to do
  15. how do i know if the master cylinder is damaged???
  16. im sure i would love it also if they worked properly haha
  17. im sure its more then just that...
  18. is there much of a diff between stock suspension and coilovers??? when i say stock i mean like king springs with shortened shocks etc...
  19. they are the correct pads... how do you tell if the rotors are glazed? i recently had them machined and that didnt change anything...
  20. Hi Ppl, I seriously hope someone can shed some light on this frustrating situation. I've got r32 gtst rotors and calipers on my s13. The brake pedal feel is absolute crap, even my old ca brakes felt better. So i went about getting a bigger brake booster and master cylinder only to find out my car already had them fitted. So after seeing this I bled th brakes and put in new fluid (Castrol Response Super DOT 4). I thought this would fix the problem but it didnt!!! Brakes are still crap! Does anyone know or have an idea as to why they feel so mushy??? I really need to fix this problem as its no good driving around like that! Thanks, Joh
  21. well i found out my car already has the correct master cylinder (BM44). so i went to bleed my brakes. Put new fluid in (castrol super response dot 4) and the brakes are still shit!!! so frustrating anyone know what it might be??? i need the brakes to be touchy not all mushy!
  22. hey just wondering if u can get the slotted r32 gtst rotors but with a blank face. I need to drill them into 4 stud for my s13...
  23. sounds good, let us know how it all goes...
  24. wow thanks heaps for that info...the guy who is sending me the m. cylinder said the code on the side was BM44... yeh let us know how it goes, do you have a s13 with the r32 brakes up front also???
