  1. a drip under pressure!!! You need help Roy, and unfortunately the people who know enough to stop you slamming into a wall will want to charge you for it... Find out your nearest brake guru, and you will find your answer. What you pay in quality advise, deduct from your T & E bill and you'll more than likely brake(sic) square. TT
  2. Yes Duncan, and will update if any course changes for '05. The notes will be current for your first year. I'll scan a sample page of service book and notes and put on my web page for your parusal. Link soon If you plan a recce, any changes up until the event would be forwarded. TT
  3. Class Winning (03) pacenotes and Service Crew Road Books. These are our own notes, made easy for rally newbies. Service Crew books include roads only a two head would know, and the schedule is designed to suit a one service crew team with elf type fuel to deliver. I am not sure where to advertise these, but we will donate 10% of revenue generated to these forums. $675.00 for the lot. TT
  4. Lucky they didn't land near Symmons Plains.... LOL. A 5 is normally 4th gear for me... But hey, everyone sees it different. And if someone was to buy our notes, they would probably find inaccuracies(sic) TT
  5. We actually transfer all the TS road book comments to our notes - (we do our own) - and this helps if we miss something. The hardest thing is to keep notes consistent, and even the pro's lack that sometimes... R5 in a 1-10 format is about right, its the "ON" part that catches most out. Even so we have ours noted with a "care", but I know the course and wasn't flying blind. (didnt help at Sheffield though) See ya in '05 TT
  6. PM me the prices & pics if possible - freight no problem. TT [email protected]
  7. No drama with fronts Clint... They are much wider(Thicker - more heat dispersion). And yes, even though I dont work for a brake company, I would say the cracks started in the slots. Used OEM for rest of the event with no drama. Redline TT
  8. Left front guard to suit R32 GTS-t Left Head Light Left fron blinker assy. R32 "K" Bar (Price complete and bare) Front bumper bar (Metal Support part) Front bar cover (R32GT-R replica) in f'glass if you can help TT
  9. Howdy Geezer, Look, save the extra few quid (and its 3/5ths of FA) and buy new. The second hand/auction market is loaded with "Oh it worked when I had it..." and when the price is cheap for new its not worth the risk. I am still waiting for a FCC from the S/H supplier in Oz, and I will no doubt die waiting for it. Log onto www.nengun.com Good Luck
  10. Funny thing about motorsport... NO warranty!!! Follow all the tempering rules you ever learned and know to work, 3 days into a realy tough event and thump...thump...thump...thump...thump...thump...thump... Not just one but two cracks on each rotor. These are sold as high performance.... I forget what brand they are! Guess I need a bias bar and some days testing now. More power is good, pulling it up is a problem! TT
  11. Do a search on the HICAS word and you will find a recent thread where Skyd all but does the job for you... Good Luck TT
  12. JVC Double DIN with Nissan Mount Kit... $400.00 Go to link for details http://www.gjmaustralia.com/Forsale/Skylin.../CarstuffFS.htm TT
  13. And I reckon Skyd would shreik in horror hearing I was considering jumping on the band wagon... After Targa there is a huge let down, specially if you crash or DNF. In our case we put together a really good package, and I parked it against the bank. Fact is I was having a red hot go because I was trying to be in the top 10 come end of day one... Car 814 (A Subaru AWD) was 28 seconds slower than me on Devonport (15ks We did 8:05) That same 4wd took 36 seconds off us in the Arrowsmith (47ks) in Wet slippery conditions. The leading R32 was th Donut King entry of Alford and Best 13th o'all... The advantage of the 4WD (any brand) is off the slow turns, where they can employ the point and shoot approach, our little girl is all about corner speed and we just cant get to the next turn as quick as them... Anyhow we will try to sell and if not gone before August... we will saddle up again in 05. (My self mutilation is coming to an end) Maybe with an even better package. The N1 specs allow 17" tyres, hence bigger brakes and a couple of other TT prerquisits. Steel turbines would be nice but not the be-all... For you Roy... - HERE!!
  14. All the go fast bits, not needed for TT. Just reliablility & a good handling/brakes package. Things that help like exhaust size are covered in the rules and easy policed. Brakes, Wheel Size, and Added oil reserve + cooler however are the things I will include. Looking for about 7.5+rwkw/kg and that will do me! And yes Duncan, a spec sheet would be great to sort thr sh1t from the clay. TT
  15. Specs available to genuine buyers only... This car is built to comply with L3 Targa LMS regulations. TT

  17. Thanks Ken, Sorry to see the boys parked on Arrowsmith. Talking with Doug over a bottle of champers at midnight and he seems keen to finish the business. No Tony, I dont care if they are genuine or not... I'm just trying to work out the most cost effective way to get one! After passing quite a few 4wds in the last couple of years, I am beginning to wonder If I will be slower in the bigger heavier car - or the added grip off the turns will give me a 1/2 second / kilometer... Only one way to find out. TT
  18. Can all the Nissan followers please advise me the difference between GTR and V-Spec/ N1 is as far as components. (for R32 and or R33) The main question is do I have to by a V Spec or can it be replicated... Thanks Guys TT
  19. !!R4 on Cr. The footage made the Targa Party Tape... and I'm sure it will make the TT04 Tape which goes to air in Tassy Late May, TEN network in June. Did your team do a recce? See ya next year TT
  20. The pipe is to be the same diameter external as the OEM item immediately before the first muffler/cat I would suggest some pipes in Targa are not legit, but the people get away with it cos they are running outside outright contention... Ask the R34 owners in this years event... I believe they were copping some heat from a certain Black Monaro. The exhaust rule is Exhaust: It will be possible to: either remove the inside of the original silencer, or modify the exhaust from the first silencer to the exit, the maximum dimensions of the duct being those of the pipe situated upstream of the first silencer (see drawing No. 254.3). Should two inlets exist in the first silencer, the section of the modified duct must be less than or equal to the total of the two original sections. Only one pipe may be present at the exit, unless the original part is used. The exit should be situated in the same position as that of the series production exhaust system. These liberties must not entail any bodywork modifications and must respect the laws of the country in which the event is run with regard to noise levels. Additional parts for the mounting of the exhaust are authorised. If an exhaust silencer is added, it must be of the original type and must contain noise-absorbing material. If it is fixed directly to the manifold, the catalyst may be replaced with a conical part of the same length and with the same inlet and outlet diameters. After this part, the exhaust will be free with a tube diameter no greater than that of the outlet from the catalyst. Note: The above regulations were written to cover under 2.5 litre, front engine cars for rally use. A number of vehicles that are entered in Targa Rallies have exhaust systems as standard equipment that cannot be modified to the above regulation. Note therefore the following clarification: Competitors with vehicles which have an exhaust system fitted as standard equipment having two separate pipes, each routed down opposite sides of the engine, are permitted to modify the exhaust as follows: (i) The catalyst may be removed and be replaced by a part having the same length, and the same inlet and outlet dimensions. At no point may this part be any larger in diameter than the largest inlet or exit dimension; (ii) No pipe in the system may be of a larger diameter than at the corresponding point of the original pipe; (iii) The silencers may either be replaced by silencers of a similar type and containing noise absorbing material, or it is permitted to remove the inside of the original silencer. (iv) The exits shall be situated at the original position as that of the original production exit, and the original parts present at the exhaust outlet must be re-used. TT
  21. Whoevers' car it is will be really pleased with your expose! BOV looks like a non Nissan item to me... To all those who finished, well done! To those who tripped up, chin up... Targa is like a drug. I have just had sponsors meeting and received commitment for next year. But regardless, it is a 4WD event, and when we front next year - it will be in a 4wd. Don't know category 8 or Cat 9... Some pics on our review link..... Thanks for all those who showed interest. To the marshalls and volenteers... without you there would be no Targa. And Sydneykid, for his personal assistance - I'll send you the graph Gaz - to put a competitive package on the track. Love yus all, TT
  22. TT wasnt listening to faithfull sidekick!!! Fired into a "!R2 >" thinking it was a R3 Knocked down a few blades of grass - but the 4 tonne of rocks holding them pulled us up... But not before our little gts-t dropped only 35sec on Devonport (Top 10) and 17sec on Nook (Top 20) Was on the pace on Sheffield until I parked it badley! Been on the Chassis Rack today to move the shock tower forward 50mm and down 60mm. Back on the track tomorrow (Hobart) to have some fun... Bugger! Top speed on Devonport was 219kph (PFC) minus a bit for 50 series tyres, so the little girl was haulin the mail... TT
  23. .... Jeff! And every one else we bumped into from last year... Mark from "N Jo" and those dirty little M3-R pilots. Update Link: http://www.gjmaustralia.com/Targa2004/tt2004day0-.htm Cheers TT
  24. Octagon did though... This original post goes back a while Noticed somewhere you decided to swap vehicles, was that after Rally Tas? Good luck anyhow Geoff TT
  25. Just prepare everything best we can, add LMS and come Wednesday morning try and keep it on the black stuff... We have been here since Mid March - may have seen the Bunnings Gunmetal #832 at C.V & Driveshaft city. A lot of time and money has been spent on suspension for this year in search of a 1 second per K gain. Last year It was bog stock with Tein and Dunlop Tyres... TT
