Optimum ride height for R32 GTR
Targa Tom replied to ecenshu's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Well if that is the case, that is very low. Tein give a 90mm test bar for setting their suspension, which you put under the front of exhaust (Lowest Point)... That translates to 320mm ride height on a HCR32 with std wheels TT -
Optimum ride height for R32 GTR
Targa Tom replied to ecenshu's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
but not sure. Dont know what the OEm ride height is.. A few of the guys run 340-345 front and 340-350 rear. I tested our Targa Car the other day at 335 front and rear with DMS suspension, and it seemed OK, in fact i am tempted to run those setting in this TT. Last year we ran Tein @ F=340 & R = 345, but the front was wrong spring rate. Measure from centre of your wheel to bottom edge of wheel arch As far a cops are concerned, check with the local authorities TT -

Was that 934? For sure (I have it on fairly good authority) its stablemate is a genuine artical too. How else do you get a full parts inventry? For the sceptics http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...5024#post785024 Targa Tom TT04 832 -
A couple of weeks ago I encountered a major problem. Not a Technical one so much as a logistical one... I had tried to save a few bucks, bought a PFC/FCC off the forum (Paid full tote odds) and when it arrived, The FCC would not talk with the PFC. One particular contributor, who I would not know should I pass him in the street, without me asking, air bagged me his FCC in order to help me comply with my testing schedule. Now that is a very special gesture, and for the one or two (OK three) dodgey people out there, ones like you skyd make it all sooo much easier. Regards Targa Tom TT04 832

Have rapped in a glad bag and placed beneath the navigators seat. Zip tied and grommet in the hole.... You have answered my question Steve - The why part - thanks Skyd... Well you know. I may be thin on the ground for a couple of weeks, keep up the good work TT832

And think about your avatar at the same time..... You make sense whitey, and when I get time I will test to see what voltage it passes, and then short cut it accordingly. Just thought that trail may have been paved. We run a straight 2 1/2 all the way (Rules prevent anything bigger) and hence no cat. With elf Im not sure what the gas coming out the back is like... but the flames look trick and I dont care about the environment. I have found before on the forums, while they are fun and generally informative... you can get 236.5 opinions on any topic you post. Which turbo is better, a HITACHI or PANASONIC. Which ECu is best.. Mac or Microsoft. But ask which pin controls a boost solenoid on a PFC and silence.... Thanks for the input troops... Got 19 GT-Rs to race... goal, have less in front of me than last year. That was 4. TT

Targa 2004 Skyline 20c each
Targa Tom replied to Targa Tom's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Most of the N1's are "N1 Spec" but started life as whatever. One car that is trick is 822. If it is the one I think it is - One of 16 R33 Mines V-Spec cars built. We will try and keep our page updated daily, That is if I'm not overseeing midnight works, which is generally the case. Click on this link once the event starts and check our progress. Note one Geoff & Neridah Beable have entered in their GTR... Stiff Competion indeed. To win Category 8, you'll have to finish in the top ten, and to win category 9, you'll hav to win outright. http://www.gjmaustralia.com/Targa2004/targaindex04.htm Later Race Fans -
If you wish, go and grab this shareware from Josh... I actually donated him the software is THAT handy. We have used it for 10 years.... If the conversion you need is not there, use custom and punch in the facter... Instant conversions forever. Hope this helps... TT Link Here http://www.joshmadison.com/software

Feedback On Dba4000
Targa Tom replied to XEQTOR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Better heat dissipation.... There is nothing wrong with standard rotors at Symmons Plains, a renown brake tester. The Japanese use good steel and it is well cured by the time we see em (120ks in 10 years) Trouble is with some of the local product is we get beer cans car doors and all sorts in the mix... end result Anyhow, I've bought the dba sales pitch and we will test, for five days 2500ks TT -
I dont think... can hook up though, just mirror wiring as per RB26DETT. I am only a novice on these PFC's and have had to work it out myself. They certainly aren't space shuttle stuff by any stretch TT

Feedback On Dba4000
Targa Tom replied to XEQTOR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Give me a couple of weeks. Just fitted 4000 series front and rear to my R32. Running EBC ceramic RS fnt and GS on the rear I'll keep you all posted (BTW) I ran EBC V2 RS on OEM rotors for TT03. The ceramics work better at low temps for sure. And initially feel stronger. Remembering that brakes are personal. In the early carbon days on the superbikes, guys would run carbon on one side and conventional on the other... prefering feel to outright performance. TT -
Brake Pads - Bedding In Instructions
Targa Tom replied to Genesis®'s topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The discs have been cured without eccessive heat and the pads likewise. We normally throw the pads in, do two blockies (stop 4 - 10 times) - Park it have a beer - Job Done! One of my favourite jobs... I get a beer fro every set of pads we scrub in. Just done a set of Red Stuff Ceramics from our friends at EBC and they are much more touchy feely than the RS V2 BTW. Will do our dba4000 discs at Basky next week. Sorry got side tracked TT -
Does anyone have the Standard - Bog Stock Wheel Align / Ride Height of an HCR32 2Door. Cheers

Do I need pillow upper mounts
Targa Tom replied to JaseR33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
It would be fine Jas. In fact the Teins are fairly hard and a little forgivness might stop your false teeth coming lose. I have just put DMS in my R32 and purchased new pillow mounts only to find my Teins would have fitted.... Ouch$$ N1 rules retain the OEM top mount in Japan and that is why race suspension manufacturers offer the option I reckon. Good Luck -
Drop me a PM Shan, or email. Not in the next two weeks as Targa on.... You did try to help and I will return the favour. Regards Tom

Sorted Geezer.. Cheers

Thanks, Robbed one out of my own loom, my car has no A/C so used that Cheers -
I wish to purchase the female spades which are used in an ECU plug. Are they an electronics type thing or do I have go elsewhere. Thanks for help....

Is the air temp sensor part of the AFM on R32? Those of you with RB20DET running on PFC... Do you get an air temp reading on FCC? I cant remember if I had a reading last night or not... But I dont have one now! Regards

I feel you may be running a stand alone Apexi Boost Control. However if you program your boost control through your PFC Commander, then my question is - One wire will go direct from the solenoid to the PFC - Which PFC pin is that connected to? Thanks Mate
