Old thread but how do people keep the writing on the cover? Has anyone made a template which you can overlay and paint through?

My passenger mirror's closing motor thing isnt working right. When closing the mirror using the button, I can hear the motor turning but the mirror doesnt move...i will pull it apart and see whats up sometime, any itinial ideas though?

Yeah they do. I didn't bother much with cable management as the case doesn't have a window so you don't see anything haha Its surprising how quiet the computer is...highly recommended, playing BF4 on nearly all max settings at 1080p and it makes tiny bit more noise than when its at idle

There are jumpers in the main control unit that can be changed to change the settings...for future reference

R33 S2 Gtst Jolting Issues While Turbo Is Boosting
shubby0901 replied to Nanga312's topic in General Maintenance
Ive been having the same problem. Need to order some coipacks asap...good to know someone else had same problem and fixed it -
I am only assuming the fan isnt working as it seems like when there is air passing through, the air-con is really cold but when standing still its just blowing normal air. Ive had no stale smells, and havnt noticed much water from the car even though I run the air-con twice for atleast an hour these days.

mods can you delete this post? I forgot I had another post already regarding the same issue, but from a while ago.
-
So I forgot about this thread and posted a new one, will try and delete but I have got the issue again. Car has new spark plugs but theyre standard 1.1 gap. Also I have done the cleaning of the valve thingy, Mechanic said coil pack may be an causing it but vaccum leak unlikely as it is not consistant. Any ideas?
-
So there are other threads out there with idle issue problems but they all seem to lead to IAC valve or vaccum leak. I have cleaned the IAC/AAC and a guy who did some repairs (Forge Performance, SA) said that if there was a vaccum leak, the idle issue would be constant. Basically the idle bounces up and down and is no longer dependent on the Air-con/Lights/Radio, but they have an effect as to how low it falls. My coil packs are breaking down under load and need to be changed. Could they cause an idle issue? If not, what could? (Apart from vaccum leak and IAC/AAC) Thanks

Hi Guys, So I have a R33 GTST and have noticed that the air-con only blows cold air when the car is moving. Its most effective at higher speeds, say 80kmph to 90kmph. The fan infront of the radiator doesnt turn on but I havnt spent too much time just watching it. What would cause this issue? btw, I know theres another thread that I read a while ago on some website but I cannot find it, so if someone can link that it would be appreciated. Or answer the question here Thanks

Been told this a few times. Perhaps when it breaks next time, ill change it out.

Thanks to another member on this site who PM'd me, my thoughts were confirmed. The twin connector bit that connects the door lock rod and the actuator rod had come loose and so the alarm didn't know that the door had locked or not. What I did was: Take the door panel off, Replace the missing screw on the double connector Enjoy the locking/un-locking door

No ideas anyone?

Having the same issue, randomly started. Alarm rings but dies not lock or unlock the doors. Led flashes rapidly when unlocked and then it immobilised and resutns to normal flashing. Any help guys?

R33 Air Con Idle Fluctuation And Stalling
shubby0901 replied to macaroni646's topic in General Maintenance
btw, ive seen quite a few series 2 manual skylines with the 2 plugs on the throttle body...maybe all series 2's have it? edit: there are series 1 auto skylines with 1 plug...i think it may be a series vs 2 thing rather than auto vs manual? -
So im still having engine idle hunting problems although the car doesnt stall anymore even with all electronics on, any other issues that may cause this?

R33 Air Con Idle Fluctuation And Stalling
shubby0901 replied to macaroni646's topic in General Maintenance
Havnt had a proper chance to test but initial impressions are that the shaking is alot less violent....so im assuming this vaccum leak could be a factor. Unplugging any sensors had no effect...testing shall continue -
R33 Air Con Idle Fluctuation And Stalling
shubby0901 replied to macaroni646's topic in General Maintenance
My boost gauge piping had split (for the second time) so I fixed that although I doubt that'll cause the air-con issue. My car has not buttons or anything inside. The only sign of an auto car are the two plugs on throttle body. Maybe they installed a auto throttle body? Not sure but yeah inside the car, there are no signs unless I'm missing something very subtle. -
R33 Air Con Idle Fluctuation And Stalling
shubby0901 replied to macaroni646's topic in General Maintenance
Maybe. I've only had the car for a few months. Its got a proper manual gearbox and the gauge cluster is for a manual too. Anyway, so a manual shouldn't have that plug and so its the other brown one. Is there anything else that can cause the rough idle? The revs dont change that much, only like 50-100prm, its more the car shakes. Its not O2 sensor as I disconnected that and still had problems. Revs are adjusted properly because i just disconnected both the grey and brown cable and couldn't get the revs to drop any further than 1000, the screw in AAC is all the way in. I just want to make sure that its nothing major. -

For mine, they both have cables. I've read that the grey is for auto's but mine's a manual. Perhaps the grey cable isn't connected further down the loom but at the plug, its definitely connected.
