Hi Everyone! Just received my second hand S15 injectors for my R33 and during transit some of the pintle cap protectors (?) had snapped off.... Does anyone know anywhere in Perth where I can grab six new ones? Do these just slide on? Thanks! Peter
-
Not sure if this helps out, but this is what the suction kit comes with for an R33 GTS - I didn't have a picture, so just copied one from a website. The suction kit uses the black hoses to join up with the original ones, which insert into the OEM rubber intake. So the performance wise kit should do the same I assume. Pete

I'm also wondering as well....two of my recently arrived S15 ones are snapped - do they affect anything? Can anyone tell me where to buy some new ones in WA? Do they just slide on and off? Thanks, Peter

How To Install Injectors Into An Rb25det?

Hi Everyone, Got some new injectors for my R33's RB25DET and was going to install them next weekend. I have never done this before and was after some guidance - a walk-through, photos, hints or tips...please - before I launch into it... I have tried searching but came up blank, so if I have missed something, I am happy to be pointed in the right direction... Thanks! Peter

Yes it will! I put a Z32 AFM in my R33 GTSt about four weeks ago, changed the PFC over to VG30 AFM, and have been driving it daily on the base PFC maps. Got a wideband Oxygen sensor and it holds around 12 when accelerating hardish, and around 14 when cruising...cruise is a bit rich for my liking...knock is always low though... Other related mods are FMIC, 3" turbo back exhaust, pod filter, 10psi boost etc... Going to put bigger injectors in soon, and then off for a tune... Peter

Hey Mate! Thanks for sending the intake pipe over to WA so well packaged and promptly.... Just a bit confused though - was this from an R33 GTSt? My OEM rubber pipe looks like this attached file (exactly the same as the aftermarket silicon pipes) - how did you get the two pipes to line up? Thanks, Peter

PM sent.... -
Thanks for all the replies...I think discopotato03 summed up my question better than I originally asked it... At the moment the price difference between the 555 and 740s is $6.27 per injector or $37.62 for all six....buggar all really...so my way of thinking is that if I can get bigger, for basically the same price - why not? It was mentioned that the 740s are slightly harder to tune...are there any other disadvantages?....(because besides that, people seem mixed in their views - some people say go for the smaller injector - why?) If my car will drive basically the same with the 740s or 555s, I might as well go for the 740s as it leaves more possibilities open in the future... I am more than happy for alternate views... Thanks! Peter

But with my current "lower end mods", would having the bigger 740s on be detrimental in anyway? (ie idle, drivability, fuel consumption?) Thanks, Peter

Hi Everyone, I am looking at upgrading my fuel injectors on my R33 (Series 1) RB25DET and not sure whether to go for the Nismo 555 or 740s. Is there any disadvantage of using the 740s, even though my current application doesn't come anywhere near using their full potential? Why I am asking this question is that the 555 and 740s are similarly priced, and I thought that rather than buying bigger ones in the future, I would get them now. Any issues regarding idle, drivability, fuel consumption etc? Relevant supporting mods are: -Power Intake -Z32 -Nismo Fuel Pump -Power FC -3" Exhaust -FMIC -EBC Thanks! Peter

Air Cleaners In Boost Lines
Peter replied to ClutchBurndout-:('s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi Baron! Received the two filters today - thanks alot! The quality of the filters is incredible, as you described they screw together, are not glued, and can be slightly cleaned if necessary. Thanks alot for your help! Will be finalising the install this weekend. Cheers, Peter -
Hey Mate, Recently bought a Power FC from a bloke who had his engine out as well - everything else was in the car. We tried to fire it up so I could see if it was working prior to purchase and it didn't work. Put it in my car and it worked fine...we concluded that the other end of the wiring loom needs to be connected to the engine for the Power FC to work... I don't know if this is technically right, but it happended with me - hope it's the same with your situation as well. Pete

Air Cleaners In Boost Lines
Peter replied to ClutchBurndout-:('s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi! I've been looking for 4mm vacuum/boost line filters too for ages and have had no luck in finding them in Australia! I bought a Profec B-II second hand and it said to install the filter prior to the control unit in cabin, but the guy I bought it off didn't send it to me.... The filter would assist in stopping any blow-by not already caught by the catch can etc. I have tried the following without success...(I'm in WA) -Supacheap -Malz -Autopro -Repco -Rocket Industries -C-Red Tuning -Hyperdrive -WTF Auto -Coventry's -CMP -X-Speed (said they would order it in for me - but it's been nearly four weeks now!) -Hobby shops -Pet shops (aqaurium filters) -Paint shops -Bunnings etc. Only place I found is US based http://shop.edoperformance.com/hks-mini-va...4mm-p-5201.html with postage it becomes pricey - help would be appreciated...! Pete -
Hi Everyone, Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get a little 4mm in-line vacuum hose filter for an electronic boost controller (also used on mechanical boost gauges etc.)? I found these but they are in the US and I was hoping to get it local....I'm in WA but happy to go interstate. http://shop.edoperformance.com/advanced_se...ords=4mm+filter Thanks, Peter

Don't know if this helps, but the 6x9s fit well in an R33, new parcel shelf, fitted right out on the edges on top of the rear struts gives just enough room for the magnet....no cutting of the metal required.
