  1. Youngskylinefellow we are all here to help! $1200 to $1500 seems to be approx 2-4 hours of labour plus the genuine parts from Nissan. My coilpacks in my 34 went 5 or 6 months ago.. I did plenty of research and it seemed the aftermarket spitfire coilpacks were the way to go at anywhere from the $550 - $650 pricepoint for a set of 6 plus my labour to fit! I was curious so I rang a friend of mine who lives down the street and works at the local Nissan dealership to see what he could do.. He quoted me $170 or thereabouts for each coilpack which came to $1020 plus my labour. I almost fell over! That obviously wasn't trade price either which is what kmart would pay but it certainly wasn't retail either. In the end I sourced a set of brand new genuine Nissan coilpacks out of japan for around $350 shipped to my door I am sure most standard mechanics would charge this sort of price as a few guys have mentioned! Any reputable mechanic / Performance shop in your local area would go straight down the spitfire route or know where to get genuine gear at a much cheaper rate and only need an hour maybe an hour and a half tops to do the job! No where near the 2-4 it seems like kmart are quoting you for. Or they are severly marking the parts up! Heck I knocked mine out in just over an hour with a new coilpack loom and new sparkplugs aswell! What I am trying to get to is you are better off ringing around a few reputable mechanics and asking them if you suppy the coilpacks how much to fit them? See what they recommend etc Or see if you can bring the car in and let them diagnose the problem to be 100% sure. Most reputable mechanics will know there way around a skyline so for them its a rather straight forward job. Or if you are mechanically minded you could have a go yourself. If you do a search you can find many threads telling you what you need to do. In the end you will be better for it as you learn your way around your motor. I just went for a quick read through before I posted and I must of missed the part you said he couldn't tell you which one is playing up.. After reading that take your car as far away from them as you can! A faulty coilpack diagnosis is simple! If they are the originals you would be better off replacing all 6 anyway.. Whilst they are out you should do new spark plugs aswell ! Pete..
  2. 89cal the link you posted up from nzefi is for the RB26 GTR's. 10.5 mm tops etc.. But looking through that item they do offer direct kits for the 34 Rb25 Neos! I rang a few injector suppliers like afi and a few local auto shops today for some advice and racked their brains and I managed to get a part no for the ID 1000's incase anybody wanted it.. It was FIV9617. They should be top feed, 3/4 length etc.. But still ask the questions!! Thanks for all the tips and advice guys! I'm sure anybody researching this down the track will find this most helpful! I think the $1100 550cc denso nzefi injectors could be the way to go! But I did also find these 700cc Bosch EV 14s on ebay. Top feed, 3/4 length, high impedance, denso plugs same as factory making them a direct fit without the need to rewire new plug adaptors making these also a direct fit.. At $540 shipped I think these are a near winner! http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/121513135104?nav=SEARCH
  3. What about these? How would these go? http://www.japaneseimportspares.com.au/itemdetails/39382 A tad more then I'm hoping to spend! Just like the nzefi ones to be honest.. I want to find something that is a straight drop in or close enough for the best bang for buck really!
  4. Thankyou for the replies guys! Subboy I have never heard of those! They seem really good! I am going to do a bit more research into them! I must of been thinking of the ev's and not the id's. What do you guys think of these? Is 800cc going to be large enough? For the price they seem really good! http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/121528361378?nav=SEARCH
  5. Hi guys, I'm hoping this is a nice easy topic! Just planning and getting ready to do the a few upgrades on my R34 like a hypergear high flow, nistune, poncams and tomei exhaust cam gear, injectors, fpr, fuel pump etc to go with my arc inter cooler and full 3 inch from dump back. Hoping for 270 or there abouts running about 1 bar! Could I run more? I'm chasing up a part no for the Bosch ID 1000 injectors for an almost straight drop into my factory fuel rail and intake manifold etc. From the research I have done I think I only need to rewire the Bosch plugs in as they are square and the factory plugs are oval! If anybody has the part no it would make my life nice and easy. Any feedback would be appreciated aswell! Like whether they are the go or to try something else? Before anybody flames me I have done a search but came up empty handed hence why I'm asking! Regards, Pete..
  6. Yeah sorry they stopped both folding at the same time! I do usually fold them in and out a few times a week depending on where I park! The mirror adjustment I never touch but that still works.
  7. Hey everyone! The other day both my electric mirrors stopped working at the same time.. I have done a fair search on the forum and across the net and couldn't really find much.. All I could come up with is threads where one stops working and the other is fine and everybody seems to say the motor needs rebuilding. But I couldn't find anything about both stopping simultaneously. I really cant see both my mirror motors cutting out at the exact same time so I think I could almost rule out the motors. But you never know I suppose! All I think it could be is possibly a fuse or the switch has crapped itself? The only thing which has me doubting the switch itself is I can still adjust the mirror glass itself up and down and left and right.. Does anybody know if there is a fuse for the electric mirrors? My fuse diagrams are both in Japanese obviously and I have found English diagrams but couldn't really come up with a definite fuse. I would like to try a fuse before I chase up a switch. Any help is appreciated! Cheers Pete
  8. Thanks Sinista32! I've been flat out all week and only just had time to have a look! If I knew there were two bulbs for the inner light I wouldn't have bothered posting this up! It was a nice simple fix.. Just replaced the two outer bulbs. I still find it quite extraordinary that one bulb does one semi circle and the other makes the other semi circle making up the full circle for the inner lights! Cheers Pete
  9. Hi guys, Tonight I noticed that my rear inner parker lights seem to be half out / half lit . I am not too sure if the inner lights have ever made a full circle like others I have seen on the net. I just thought I'd ask to see what everyone here thinks whether both my globes are out or the tail lights are shot before I pull off the boot lining to get to the lights. Thanks!
  10. Will my exedy clutch work with this? Pretty interested! Where are you located? If out of Sydney would you be willing to post? If so how much for postage?
