Well my drift car project is finally nearing a finish. I am wanting to do the 2 tome with black above the window line and white all below It does look quite aggressive with the kit being black though. So we might have the black under the top of the side skirt line all the way around. Colour change skills will be much appreciated. Aaron

haha Thanks Phill if you attempt to replace it yourself theres a few things you need to consider. 1: The chances of the standard turbine (ceramic) being broken in the process is quite high. 2: It will not be balanced. 3: If the wheel is not the same size it wont fit into the compressor housing.

Compressor wheel And rebuilding usually means just bearing replacement. A complete rebuild would include: bearings, seals, gaskets, turbine, compressor wheel.

The confusion ends. Link ECU's are a plug in replacement ECU for your standard and are map sensor based. The item arrives as the board and all that is required is that your standard ecu pcb be removed and the link put in to replace it. Retaining the standard ECU case ensures no police trouble They are one of the best ECU's i have tuned with and the software that is included with them makes it very simple to tune if you understand the principals. All links sold now are using the G3 chip except for a few WRX versions which the older versions can still be purchased. Even with large injector upgrades without touching the computer the car WILL start unlike the Power FC which requires work with the adjustment of Injector size within the FC. We have a couple of 2nd hand Power FC for sale at the moment however if upgrading past 230rwkw map sensor based computers will end up cheaper due to them not requiring an AFM upgrade. We have had countless numbers of XY turbo's, and other Ebay turbo's that are all popping up that have big manufacturing problems. Pitting in the shaft, Poor castings so bad that they break off from the cartridge, Some dont seem to have even been balanced, Compressor wheels that have enough meat cut out of the back you can fit your pinky finger in them just to that they are close to being balanced, Compressor wheels that have dissapeared into the intercooler and STEEL turbines that have been sheered off and ended up burried in the cat. Manwhore mentioned differences with highflows. We use 2 Heinz VSR's to balance all of our items. First the compressor wheel and turbine wheel are balanced in the first unit and the second unit is for balancing cartridge assemblies. All of our highflows are machined to the exact specification of the previous without fail. Laser depth guages are very good peices of equipment. The failure results of ebay turbo's are amazing, some of the pictures are very impressive.

The current wait is only 3 weeks on the RB26 highflows. GTRgeoff is making 316rwkw at just under 1 bar with 3psi to go and a little head room. I rate them at a mild 300rwkw to avoid dissapointment and confusion if someones engine is not up to scratch. 17psi on an unopened engine will yield up to 330-340rwkw on a GTR with our highflows. With camshafts, will break 340-350rwkw.

GTRgeoff is making 316rwkw on his R33 GTR at 1 bar that SelectMaz (Wayne) tuned with the same set of our highflowed turbo's. That should be a good indication on the power you are missing out on by not having a tunable ecu like a Power FC. The turbine is the Garrett T28 cropped race shaft with -5, -7, -9 compressor wheel. I would have to search through the books to see which comp wheels were put in yours as we didnt have regular stock then if i remember correctly. There is not too much difference between them.

Only the turbine changes throughout the different stages. Most people generally dont upgrade camshafts as an extra $1000 on a car thats already making the sort of figures we see with our highflows is not really seen as necessary for a small amount of extra gain.

This is completely normal for Apexi boost controllers. The tick is the actuator doing its job controlling boost pressure.
