  1. To assist people wanting answers using the search function. For those that can only look at one turbo when wanting to know the differences the markings on the housing will reveal all. The R32 turbo has 16v stamped on the compressor cover and is the only comprssor cover used on RB20 turbo's. The R32 turbo most of the time has the smaller 16v or 04u stamped turbine housing. (some 1993 models have the RB25 21u turbine housing) The R33 turbo has 45v1, 45v2, 45v3, 45v4 stamped on the compressor cover. The R33 turbo has 21u stamped on the turbine housing. The R33 turbo as stated above is larger.

  6. hahaha i feel like im in the movie. Sadly there is no overnight parts service that does not cost less then ones left nut. To put it simply. Lag is the process of building up air pressure/flow mass to increase shaft speed within the turbocharger to generate positive pressure. Until the desired boost pressure is met this is referred to as lag. To decrease lag, smaller and lighter internals can be used within the turbocharger to increase shafts speed. (smaller turbocharger) Lag means horsepower though
  7. There is already a restrictor in the main oil feeding banjo bolt in the block. The oil is seperated into the master line from this bolt and runs to both turbo's.

    Turbo Installer

    We have 5 partner workshops that all charge $350 installed. This includes oil line and Banjo bolt modifications, new oil and filter. So around that figure would be ok.

  14. Not after the cost of fitment compared to Garrett T28 replacements Standard Rb25 turbo's have ceramic turbines aswell as the standard GTR turbo's and will fail. No ceramic turbine should be considered an upgrade as sooner or later the turbo's will be off the car again. I wouldnt bother.

I just so happen to have a spare VG30 turbo It is not for sale only exchange for cases just like this I do mention to everyone that lets me know that the max oversize is going onto a RB20 that the turbo is not designed for the 2Ltr and is much better suited to the RB25. This is why in the highflow thread under "Highflows for RB20" only the "Straight RB25 Turbo Highflow" is offered. The Straight RB25 Turbo Highflow is the best option for both RB20 and RB25 For power and response it is unbeatable for a bolt on replacement. No problem at all mate

  19. Excellent results mate 241rwkw on a RB20 is outstanding. The best all rounder is the turbocharger that you have and its the reason we are 3 weeks behind in orders
  20. We reparied and highflowed a HKS T04S on a Tommy Kiara R33 GTR All the important bits putting out 685rwhp hitting 1.5 bar at just after 5000rpm. This is with HKS 272 degree inlet and exhast cam shafts on a near standard displacement engine (2.645) 87mm pistons built at Signal in Japan. Most big horsepower singles are Journal
