  1. This white R34 GTR was the quickest of the closely followed by a time bomb i mean blowta ROTOR RX7 As you can see. There are so many photo's and so much video, already in 3 days there is well over 1000 photos and 10gig of HD video. So i will effort to get it up though maybe provide links instead of pictures in mass volume to avoid breaking SAU. NEW Updated today 27th May Sendai Hi-Land Raceway DORICON GP Shortly after arriving at Sendai Highland raceway we were confronted with a small amount of hysteria. There was a private bike club drag way which has the over run trap at the end of the strip which directly joins onto the small drift track. Sadly a rider over shot the drag strip unable to slow down and crashed into the tires and onto the drift track which held up the show. I have a 1700 pictures form the day so i figure when i get back i will just shoot up an album instead of cluttering SAU as i explained above. Not being able to sleep i thought i would use the time to actually write some dribble about the trip.
  2. This would prompt some very exciting news and perhaps a hint at something being in the works very soon. And this RRR hiding in the engine holding room waiting for a powerhouse to be made by Mines: Spotted this little gem on the way Once again still no sleep from Steve snooring. Will put up a few video's soon One he sounds like a blow off valve - turbosmart Darth Vader Another one so loud it causes nightmares before i inevitably wake up wanting to jump out the window. SUGO SPORTS LAND HKS PRIVATEER DAY Arrived late again from Sendai, same reasons. I was permitted to be in the SUGO guest lounge on the 4th floor of the main tower giving me a great view of the last corner and all up and down the straight as below in the photo's. There were some very tough cars there and it was a very nice day given we were very few visitors so going around the pit area and track the guys made us very welcome to have a look at their weapons of choice. For Chris zee MXsuperfunhappyfanowner1memberclub, on a tow truck ready to be taken to the .... haha Bad Domo
  3. reetings from Japan people. While Steve N1GTR snores his ass off behind me preventing me from sleeping (I have never heard anyone snore as loud as Steve and i now have video of him sounding like a blow off valve) i thought i would take the time to throw up a few pictures from the journey. I have never bothered doing any picture logs or anything before though having brought Steve along with me i will share the antics and views that some may not ever get to see. This trip: Captains log: Date 20th May Arrived at Narita late and stayed in Shinagawa for ease of lugging the bags for the near month long trip. Thursday we went to Nismo's Omori Factory and proceeded to buy them out of accessories which will be available upon my return. Lanyards, Jackets, Shirts, R35 GTR Gloves, R35 GTR coin wallet, R35 GTR wallet, Alacantra registration and manual book cases (beautiful), R35 GTR Money Clips, R35 GTR Card Cases here: SHOP Dealing with Omori and Ginza regularly we were welcomed into the workshop which is usually prohibited to guests and were able to get a look inside the workshop which rumors are correct, the place is clean enough to eat off the floor. Omori Factory 21st May This poor girl below was in the corer of Omori Factory because there was simply no more space for it to go elsewhere so the mechs have a nice bit of memorabilia to keep them motivated and super fun happy mechanics. We didn't have enough time to venture out to the main workshop as we were lagging from the flight. Will blame on Steve anyway, why not. ^^^Tried to buy it...........Failed Nismo is a bitter reminder of the 99.9% of shocking Australian workshops taking no pride in their surroundings. If there was a target to try and achieve in workshop cleanliness Nismo take the prize clearly. MINES 22nd May We went to Mines so that i could get as many photo's as i could for the products soon to be listed for previous generations of Skylines as well as the GTR. Steve wet his pants when he was introduced to Michizo Niikura (Mines CEO) who very kindly waited for us to arrive (we were late again, its hard to sleep for reasons already explained and below in a snipet ), which prompted all kinds of travel hysteria pre and post visit. Mines Sales and Marketing gun Noriaki Nagahama spent half a day with us going over new products and plans for the company and once again with Nismo, we were shown a comforting hospitality unlike any other country. Below are some pictures of display, engine builds, storage etc. Along with the Mines items we already stock for the R35 GTR a lot more are soon to come so stay tuned. I also have thousands of pictures already from the cities and being in Japan for another 20 days there will be lots more so i will upload them as i have time.

A friend of mine is much like a band roadie, except he is a HKS roadie. The events always put a smile on his face and to go back to them continuously i am assured its worth the trip all the way up there. Doricon GP would also be worth the look if you are staying around.
  5. They shouldn't say anything, its just cargo in a passenger plane. I doubt they would even ask you a question about it. Keep the invoice anyway though i doubt the cost for any would be over 1k anyway and if it was and by some strange chance you are questioned just explain its for your car and it cost $500. Customs agents aren't evil people. If the value is legitimately under $1000 then there is no extra cost associated in bringing it into the country. Everyone brings back things from Japan be it video cameras, game consoles etc. If it worries you just put the box inside out, its still going to be x-rayed. I wouldn't even worry about it.

Me and Steve N1GTR will be there. Where are you traveling from? The trip is around 5 hours? by train from Shibuya so it would probably make more sense stay closer prior to the event as train times would have you arriving from Shibuya to Sendai just before lunch then to the circuit before 1 that day. We will be staying in Sendai at the Washington Hotel from Friday night until Monday. Doricon GP on Sunday in Sendai at Hi-Land Raceway. Good place to be for the weekend.
  7. Yeah!! My plates have been stolen twice and QLD prestige plates only cost $370 Delivered to have remade and sent. They are a lot different to the standard pressed plate as well so i would imagine normal plates be considerably less.
  8. Regular sea freight will always be the cheapest though is always the longest form of regular freight delivery. Air Freight will be around 25-30,000 Yen Its a pain in the ass to take it back on the plane with you but would definitely be the cheapest option. Just ring up your carrier and check out the cost for an estimate of the dimensions and weight as check in luggage. The last thing you want to be told is that they cant fit it in with baggage or something an hour and a half before you fly out. Should be under 9,000 Yen for an exhaust to come back with you.
  9. <_<This is a white thing isn't it. haha Will have to go to a SAU dinner again soon, its been maybe 2-3 years. Saw you were going to Japan as well, ill be over there from the 20th of May until further notice. Don't be a hooker. You might have better luck at pool in Japan.
  10. When are you going bitch lips i leave on the 20th of May.
  11. What the ? Take my head back down with you Funkeh, fancy a game of pool? haha Name the stakes dark one.
  12. I haven't seen any yet. For the cost of the 37 engine you could get 3 35's And with that cost in mind you could simply buy different pistons and rods to achieve the extra displacement and as above the engine is easier to obtain. The 37 will not be a mainstream or even ocean going/traveling engine for around a year. Any that do become available will be kept in the country the car was killed in to pillage and modify the workings of the new VVEL setup. More power can be made so many other ways then having an engine with a valve control system that has no support for upgrade's be it tuning or engine modifications in this country and in the world yet and will be some time off given that all Japanese tuning houses and the barn yard farm mechanics in America are hitting the R35 GTR's 38DETT. For the money i would buy a Toyota 4 Ltr V8 and work it for response. They sound better as well.
  13. Need more updates and pictures Morten
  14. Check for blow by Brendo.
  15. Will be from around mid may now, other business commitments are killing me. All i want is a f**king holiday lol
  16. All we know is he's called the Rezz.
  17. We have only ever had the 10cm's and they achieve 350awkw at around 18 pound without head work. They hit that boost pressure at roughly 4400rpm With a 2.8LTR Tomei kit we have achieved 400awkw at 1.6 Bar Boost at 4000 with poncams. Its a good kit.
  18. They cartridge and bearing assembly is Garrett specifications just like HKS. The turbine wheel and compressor wheel on any ball bearing turbo that need to be rebuilt tends to cause some housing damage which will require slightly larger internals be used. Garrett internals can then be used or even HKS for that matter and the turbo can be serviced by anyone capable like Garrett, Precision, GCG, MTQ etc. The benefits of the current wheel types are for response with the compressor setup just a little smaller than the -5 and the turbine having a different wheel design but the same size. If there was a Garrett bolt on option in between the -5 and -7 it would be perfect and much cheaper given the current exchange rate though Garrett work backwards and provide what we don't need not what we do. We just adapt

  20. I will be over in Japan at roughly the same time AUS schedule permitting. Will be purchasing another car and sending it over, doing the shop rounds, loading a container and hoping to have some form of a relaxing holiday for once. I have not kept up with Japanese race events for a while so i am eyes open for info also. If there are any JP SAU members that planned on going to any events during this time PM me.
  21. That's terrible!!! Glad it wasn't in the garage though, probably would have killed the dog. Was still a great car to drive and loved the opportunity to help move it. James
  22. No i never found them sorry James. By the time i got back from the airport there was a lot of people out seeing what happened with next door and others trying to clean it all up in the rain. It would be hard to believe they be in one piece after something like that? The general thoughts of the neighbours was that someone had bricked the car which is what i thought when i got the call on my way home. Strange little surprise. Maybe that's why the Aston roof wouldn't go down. Precautionary measure before it lost its dice.
  23. I believe it IS the first you know of Andrew. *Looks at James.
  24. haha had to drive it with a sleeping bag covering it so rain wouldn't get in. (Very interesting looks from that) The vacuum from all the glass is all scratched inside from the cyclone type bag less depository. Can never see if its full now. Its quite stressful.
  25. Just parked it out the front of the house. Seems like Astons worst enemy isn't people rolling them in 007 films, its putting them on quiet streets and scaring them from behind. lol, as above they are roll bars. They are supposed to explode up in the event of a roll over to protect the occupants being a rag top. Unless the earth decided to fall off its axis from someone dividing by zero i am lost for words.
