  1. yeah - any pics
  2. would a 975 be even quieter seeing as it flows less?
  3. how loud are the bosch's? are they annoyingly loud? or can you only hear them when starting the car? can you hear it while driving!
  4. we're all just comparing raw data to see if we have set it up right and to see if our cars are consistent - I know these mean nothing!
  5. yep - me the same. - raw figures are 50 - 60. - idling sits on 0 - 10 on a cool day and maybe 10 - 25 on a 35 degree day. - when accelerating, car is breathing in cool air from outside the engine bay and comes down to 0 (maybe 10 on a hot day) it would be good though to speak to apexi and ask for some guidance on what level a knock is (ie 50 or 100?) I know that Access Auto's in Vic is Apexi's Australian distributor and they have technicians that you can talk to if you bought the product in Australia (ie not imported from japan).
  6. can any1 find out what is a "bad" reading??? this would be very valuable info!
  7. boost drop off? is it the stock turbo? ..maybe it can't flow enough to provide that sort of boost at high rpm? do you have a dump & exhaust?
  8. stupid question 1: is your filter an "oiled" pod filter?
  9. Hey all, what is a better pump to handle up to 200rwkw? A Bosch 975 (228L/hr) or one of the Walbro Pumps (240l/hr) I've heard the Walbro are meant to be a bit cheaper, quieter? Any advice?
  10. what sort of knock readings do you get - and does anyone know what constitutes a knock? I get 0 - 10 on a normal day and up to 20 on a hot day. I know the scale goes up to 200 on the safcII, so these can't be too bad. Would it be like to Power FC scale where above 60 means you are knocking?

  12. I dont know how anyone driving a Silvia could say that another car is uglier than theres (except s15's) r33 gtr's are my favourite style - they look nice and powerful!!!
  13. player_hater - let me know when you find out and if you find a cheap place to install clutches! ..........or anyone else out there know where to get a cheap install of a clutch in melb. atm I have been quoted $250
  14. do you by any chance know how much power (rwkw) the heavy duty one is meant to handle? Also, how much did you pay to install in Melb? thanks heaps mate
  15. sweet - sounds perfect! how much more was the heavy duty one - I was quoted $200 for the R173N one (stock?)?
  16. does anyone know if they are meant to be stronger than the stock clutch (this is what I've heard) .....and I was given the part no R173N for the clutch, is this the right part?
  17. how does it feel compared to stock?
  18. hey all, I've researched a little bit about these Nissan Patrol Clutches which heaps of people have used and are meant to be a straight fit into a skyline, stronger than stock and feel quite ood (as I've read)!! Has anyone in Vic installed one of these? What do you think of it if you have? I was thinking of getting one, cos if they are good, I can get them for $200 and install for $250 - $450 for a brand new clutch is a sweet deal!

  20. damqik - how did the clutch install go, how does it feel? How did you work out the part no. for the clutch and will this fit a 96 r33 series II gtst?? heaps of questions - thanks!
  21. what parts of this do you need - the housing?
  22. hey all, can i adjust the point at which my clutch "grabs" (on an r33 gtst series II). At the moment, the pedal has to come out towards the end before it grabs, but i don't have any slippage at all or anything like that? Any help appreciated!! thanks
  23. yeah, I'm sure hikari got them in from japan directly, you prob need to have bought it somewhere like autobarn or something
  24. busky 2k - have you calibrated it properly?? I know how we can get the answer - Access Auto Engineering in Vermont is the Australian dealer for Apexi items, I called and they said that they can give tech advice if you bought the item from a store in Australia. These would be the guys to ask the question to, but i got mine second hand.
