  1. Skyline model = R34 GT-R Wheel diameter = 18 Wheel width = 10.5 Wheel offset = +15 Tyre size = 295/30/18 Modifications to fit = none
  2. worth a read, http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/02/gt-r-dreams-dinos-r34-skyline-gtr-project/
  3. If you're talking about the polished Y pipes from turbo to intercooler, i've been told by a few that the nismo pipes increase responsive and gives slightly higher boost and reduces turbo shuffle. Theres a article in speedhunters that covers the part, haven't installed on my car so can't speak from first hand experience.
  4. Best to call tuner, unless you know what you're doing, could do more damage than good.
  5. I'm from north suburbs, you should keep it, there only a dozen or less yellow r34 gtrs in the country. Most famous one would be the 1000 hp "nitto". I bought "gtr-34a" about a year ago and have never seen another yellow besides my own. Have seen blue, white, perl white, mnp, black, silver, grey, n1 thin white. I think its the second rarest colour behind red which i've never seen.
  6. That was a good read.
  7. Price drop to $3700, good xmas present!
  8. Roy is selling a nismo intercooler in for sale section, its for a bnr32, not sure if it would fit bnr34, also need to drill hole for intake temp sensor, and boy has the price gone up.
  9. Great price for the condition, would buy if i didnt already have a yellow gtr, good luck with sale.
  10. The missus had an IS250 before, great car very reliable, a little under powered but if you get the IS350 should be fine. Never had a Audi so can't comment. Would stay away from BMW unless you really want it. We sold the IS250 and bought a BMW and the quality and reliability of BMW is not even close to the Lexus. The only upside with the BMW is the stock twin turbo v8 making over 400kw.
  11. You should try it, and if it doesn't bring a smile to your face I'm sure op will buy it off you.
  12. Nismo intercooler installed with intercooler hard pipe does give you a bit more power and better response with a tune, but will cost you around $2500 for parts and $800 for a tune so total around $3300. Quiet a bit of money for the gains, but the smile on your face every time you see the nismo sign on the intercooler and the scared shitless wrx driver you are about to pass, priceless!
  13. I'd go with yokohama advan ad08r in 265/35/18. Best balance between street tyre and semi slick.
  14. Nismo have discontinued the 100mm intercooler, only way to buy it now is privately either new at around $2000 or second hand over $1500! Try ring around tuner shops that might have one laying around. It's a sort after part now as nismo no longer makes them. If hks or arc won't do it for you then keep an eye out and buy it straight away when one shows up. You will be paying a premium thats for sure. I bought my used in mint condition by harrassing the tuner shop mechanic constantly until he sold it to me. Good luck hunting!
  15. I restored my diffuser a while back with gloss acrylic clear and it turned out average. Never tried black, should be ok but i think clear is better to show the carbon weaves. Doesn't hurt to try, if you don't like it just sand it back and do it again. Would also advise to use spray gun instead of spray can unless you are really good with your can
  16. Try resetting you mfd, let the car warm up first. Turn off engine, push and hold joystick in, turn car on, let go once gtr logo is displayed, straight away push joystick 5 times, should go into diagnostic mode, wait till all sensors turn green, exh temp takes awhile if engine was cold, drive around the block to get all sensors up, then turn off engine and start back up, exh temp should display.
  17. Great write up, I had this problem as well after my nismo twin plate was installed. Friction take up point was just too high, and I was revving but not moving untill the clutch engaged high up. So after doing what was suggested above I must say it now drives a lot better. Thanks Goombeh, keep the posts coming! A side note, I think the slave cylinder can be adjusted, as there is a nut at the end of the clutch salve cylinder, can't be sure, gonna get the mechanic to have a closer look next time.
  18. I believe the paint is flat, not shiny.
  19. Yes I agree, I'd grab it if you were in Sydney and also need your cat and cat back exhaust as well, LOL.
  20. Here's a dyno of the Z-tune with same exhaust as mine except it's titanium. Much better graph but I guess it's all the work done to the motor internally that makes the difference. So now every one knows much power the Z-tune really makes, he he.
  21. Yes still on standard cams, would love to go 2.8L but no money at this stage.
  22. Dyno graph, blue line was with dumps/cats, red line is intercooler+hard pipes. Still have torque hole below 4500rpm, I'm guessing it's the restriction in the exhaust?
