  1. Not really sure how to check, any suggestions?
  2. Didn't get a chance to measure when the exhaust was out, but from gtr forum UK, the size are 2 x 60mm from turbo, merge to 80mm after rear diff, and 100mm exit. So i guess it's 2 x 2.36" to 3.14" with 3.9" exit.
  3. Hi mate yes you did, haven't forgot, just didn't have the $2k for the complete exhaust at the time, it is next thing I'll be getting. It does make sense as the tuner also said my exhaust was way too quiet so there must be restrictions.
  4. Someone buy these before I take off the centers and reverse mount them to +8 offset.
  5. Hi Paul the exhaust is on my next to do list, being put it back due to budget and also a bit worried about how loud it might be, I think you've got twin 3" into 4" is that right? I think the nismo intercooler hard pipes and the intercooler made the biggest difference. I'll try and post the dyno sheet so you can see the difference. But it's still not all good as I have poor torque below 4550 rpm which I hope the bigger exhaust will help.
  6. Yeah the tuner did turn boost up to 20 psi for third run but only gained 2 kw at peak, although torque at mid-range did increase some, he was worried by reliability as my motor internals is still stock so dropped boost back down to 19 psi.
  7. Still running the nismo twin 2.5" atm which I think is the biggest restriction, hopefully will get the twin 3" soon. I believe the tomei cam gears was adjusted, but I'm still on stock cams. Yes do have boost controller, it's profec B II. Can you sugest anything else I should do?
  8. Update: Car has been tuned and dynoed. First run: With only thing changed to the car being tomei dumps and 'high flow' cats. Not much difference at low and high revs, made extra 4 kw at peak, this could be due to change in temp or other variables. But did gain some mid range torque and peak boost happening maybe a bit earlier, nothing spectacular but the dumps and cats did make a small difference. Second run: Now installed with Nismo hard pipe and Nismo 100mm intercooler, 1000cc injectors, 450L fuel pump. Peak power gained of 17kw to 313kw atw at same 19psi. More power and torque across the rev range, biggest difference is peak boost happens at 4550 rpm instead of 5000 rpm. Drive: Car definitely feels more more responsive and pulls harder, response is still a bit slow compared to stock turbos but it's much better than before. Cost: $1000 for every 100rpm of response or $300 for every kw gained, f expensive. Conclusion: I think we are half way there, next on the list will be bigger exhaust and turbo inlet pipes.
  9. Yes you are correct, realised it after posting but won't let me edit so have updated on third post, cheers.
  10. Hi Terry, from the website each wheel weight 10.6kg, I just checked together with tyres and they weight 22.4kg. Last time My LM GT4 18x10.5 with tyres weight 21.4 kg, so these are 1 kg heavier, but still lighter than alot of other wheels. By the way bumped into Steven the other day and he says you bought the titanium exhaust off him, was thinking about getting them, if you ever decide to sell or trade let me know, cheers.
  11. Correction to title, 18x10 not 18x10.2 after checking BBS Japanese site. LM 086 18×10.0 20 5/114.3 PFS 10.6kg JPY 113,940 http://www.bbs-japan.co.jp/en/products/lm.html
  12. If more photos are required please Pm me

May consider swaps such as Nismo turbo inlet pipes, Nismo oil cooler, full complete exhaust ( 3.5 inch or twin 3 inch) or anything in very good condition to fit R34 Gtr with cash adjustments.
  14. It was an add on to the standard front bar for the optional nismo oil cooler on original 1999 V spec, I belive was standard on UK official imported GT-Rs. You can buy replicas off ebay.
  15. Update: Gave up and gave kit to mechanic to install, now running great with no leak, all he did was changed the broken clamps that I over tightened. Looks like it was my mechanical skills ( or lack of ) that was the issue.
  16. Bought it from just jap, even they didn't belive me. But putting stock next to HPI and Tomei you can see that HPI was a bit shorter, unsure why, so they happily swap it for me.
  17. Yeah, me too, would look good in the engine bay but just too damn expensive.
  18. Hi guys Just looking around the nismo website for parts as you do and discovered that they now sell the turbo inlet pipes in carbon! Would like to get some except for the price lol, 241,800Yen which converts to almost $2,900 AUD before tax and freight! Link below http://www.nismo.co.jp/omori_factory/original_menu/carbon_inlet/index.html
  19. Was trying to improve the response on the -5 turbos as tuner says stock rubber hose cause some lag, wasn't about power.
  20. Yeah, bought it from nurvous, not blaming him at all, just think I might have got a defective kit. Yeah it does have the lip, I think it's because the pipe is not true round and the silicon hose that came with the kit is a bit thin so it leaks air as it doesn't sealing properly..
  21. Yeah it's a genuine Nismo kit, to say I was disappointed in the quality is an understatement. Will probably try to get some thicker silicon hoses and stronger clamps and try again.
  22. Hi guys, so this week I installed the Nismo hard pipe intercooler kit on my R34 Gtr. After install took it for a drive and notice there is a boost leak and can't hold more than 0.4 bar of boost. So took the bumper off and re-tightened the clamps. The blue silicon hose that came with the kit was a bit thin so had to tighten extra hard and end up de-threading clamps. I had no other option at the time but to put the stock hose back on and everything was working again. So my question is has anyone else installed the nismo or after market hard pipe kit with similar problem? I think because the cast alloy hard pipe is not perfectly round, with a thin silicon hose it wasn't sealing properly. So should I get a thicker silicon hose and maybe stronger clamps? Clamps that came with the kit was Murray gold seal worm drive, and the blue silicon hose is about 3mm thick. Any help is much appreciated.
