It has done 120,000k's on the dash, so im assuming the engine is the same. It has never missed a beat, and engine oil replaced every 5000k's minimum. Anyone know of a place in Melbourne who have done this conversion before? I am pretty sure id rather use the RB25 box.

Thanks for all the replies guys, My main convern is that the RB20 box will break easily. I have already broken one, i think due to the button clutch i have, and i now only hvae like 175rwkw. Im thinking its all the drifting. Anyway, if i was to go down the road of an RB 25 gear box, i would have to get a new tailshaft, or modify the one i have? What sort of money am i looking at to get an RB25 box? Im pretty much looking to get a workshop to do most of the work. Thanks

Everyone keeps saying the RB20 Box is easier to leave in than changing it to the RB25? im lost...

Hey everyone, I currently have a '89 R32 with RB20DET 5 speed. Im looking to swap it for an RB25DET, and im wondering ecatly what i need to do/change/have in the way of parts to do it. Im being told alot of different things by different people, so someone who knows or has done it before can possibly help. I have a power FC in my car now, but i realsie ill have to swap it for an RB25DET one, which is easy. Appart from changing the computer, can i just put in the RB25 loom and plug it straight into the RB25 power FC? Does anything els ein the car have to be changed? as in wiring? Im planning to use the RB20 gearbox and my clutch for now, and possibly just strengthen the gearbox if i can? rather than go to the trouble of putting in the RB25 one and having to change all the wirng that im told of? Any help would be appreciated. Btw, i have searched the forums but didnt find alot Thanks...

[EDIT] Gearbox also needed now... Hello Everyone, Im looking for an RB25DET to replace my RB20DET in my R32. Im after the complete motor, turbo and loom. And everything else i need. I will be using my gearbox and clutch from this motor. If anyone can tell me what else i need, it would be appreciated. Thanks, Troy

Yes it will fit straight in dude. Also the dials sometimes just fall around if the dash is out, all you do is tip it up, and it will be perfect

what else does it include? ECU? anything else?

Someone help me! im going nuts... Any time the speedo goes over 110km/h it makes this Ding Dong! noise continually.. now i dont want any smart ass comments like 'you cant go over 110 anyway! because, my speedo is like 10 k's out for some reason.. and 120 on the dash is barely 110 in reality. And i also take it around the track often, so its real bad. im guessing its some kind of lame ass speed alert... How can i fix it!!! someone help! also, how can i change a blown light behind the speedo. the one towards the top left corner is gone. Thanks all, Troy
