  1. Yea, and may be coming back soon... I've been sent out to Fairbairn for the moment, so have been driving the other half's car for a bit... but have been giving the skyline some legs lately.
  2. need a 32mm flange nut, as one of my rim centres decided to no longer want to be bolted on properly... Found the halves of the centre, now just need the nut to hold it together
  3. Was looking at the little black box for ages before finding it on google (speedo adjuster)... and the use of double core insulated wire, and the block of piggy back connectors... did a voltage test to try to trace back things, popped 4 fuses. Black/Orange to ground knocked out the driving lights and "Lights on" accessories (which expected), Black/Blue threw the lighter, the accessories, and the driving lights... pulled it all out, started again... didnt have the wire to run a new line from the fuses so still stealing from the lighter as before. Also a while back figured out why the siren wasnt working on the alarm system, battery in it was fine, there was a broken wire under the dash, one of the clips were cable tied too tightly and had a broken connection... you could tap it and the siren would click as the circuit was made... clipped the clip and soldered the wires together. Now if i could only keep it clean, such a dirt magnet
  4. Fixed ciggy lighter that was only working while the lights were off... Required reterminating the various other things hanging off the ciggarette lighter's power rail, there were things mixing series and paralell cabling that shouldnt have been mixing causing some parts to be shorted while others were fine. Seemed that the lighter's negative was plugged into the "Lights on" line. Replaced faulty Tacho too... had decided to go disco on me while the SAFC was still reading normal revs. Had fingers crossed as didnt want to have to get Cam angle sensor looked at just yet.
  5. yea i realised about google translate ~54000 JPY + postage and packaging + cost for painting. So looking at ~a grand all up for a spoiler, but no details as to material (i'm guessing plastics). Anyone seen similar in aus?
  6. Been scouring looking for a GTR style wing for the 4dr R33, and finally found one... http://www.east-bear.co.jp/shopdetail/004007000004/004/X/page2/recommend/ Anyone have any idea what the site says? or anyone ever seen something similar for sub a grand?
  7. Installed Oil Filter relocation kit, about half an hours work once i'd figured out where the filter was going to end up... Tomorrow looks to be tracking down a fluid leak and replacing break pads.
  8. Yea she got a bath... i felt bads. Changed jobs no longer parking next to a construction site any more so she'll be a bit cleaner i recon.
  9. Not a 'today' post, but swapped front springs back to stock on Rob's former ride last weekend. Was getting some jyp with driveway angles being too unforgiving so it was that or pull the front skirt off... not hapy jan. When done with springs, dropped in some 6' 2ways into the front doors, required very minor alteration of mounts, about an hours work all up discovered one speaker was blown hadnt noticed, pretty sure i'm half deaf anyway Weekend before was oilchange o'clock, managed to only dump the contents of the filter on the ground... next change will be putting in a filter relocation.
  10. Just thought i'd throw something up... Recently picked up R33 S2 4-Door from Rob in ACT, is a great ride, much enjoy, so skyline. Second import for me, nissan-bro all the way. First car off P's was a 180sx, stock as the day she rolled off the factory floor... great to be behind the wheel of something a bit more powerful and a huge upgrade from the wife's Mazda 2. Will be looking to catch up, am a typical 'bloke behaving badly' when it comes to doing work on cars so be all over the DIY looking for tips... so far nothing bad has happened yet, so fingers crossed, touch wood, and all that jazz.
