  1. Oh and I should add if you have an engine built get them to tune it after run in. Then there is no pointing of fingers if the worst happens within the warranty period. My cars are not heavy hitters either. The closer you drive it to it's limits and beyond the closer you are to your next rebuild. Shit happens and some drivers contribute greatly to the failure. No car is bullet proof. If you ring it's neck it will die. Treat your car within tolerances and it will look after you.
  2. Subject covered many times and there is a sticky at the top of this forum. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/41527-where-to-get-skyline-serviced/page-35 Boils down to choose who you feel comfortable with. Each one of these shops below had/has issues with vehicles that have shit themselves. Certain shops have ECU Tuning preferences. For me at the moment: Ed (Autotech) tunes my 34GTT - Nistune (Autronics & Nistune dealer) Glen (ESP) tunes my 32 GTR - Haltech (Haltech & Vipec's) John (Trojan) does all my mechanical - coz I trust him, he's experienced and VERY helpful. (Jake does the Tuning and as far as I know will do any ECU) Some folks use Ultimate Tunes. I'm not tied to any shop. If asked would recommend any of the above based on what is required to be done. If I have a bad experience I change shops and they loose my business, and sometimes my Skyline buddies will avoid the shop. If any of these contributed to critical engine failure I take them to task over it. Engine builds are best done interstate in my Opinion. Croydon's (CRD) built mine. Racepace I hear good things about. JEM is changing hands Bolt on's and tuning as I said above is who you feel comfortable with.

  10. This is partly why I recommend a shitter to start with http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/415573-sau-act-what-did-you-do-to-your-car-today/?p=7117912 Coz things like this happen when your 17, first car on L's/P's. Imagine if each rim cost $1k on your GTR/EVO/S15 Although it does happen to mature drivers too but not often. Generally within a week of putting your new rims on
  11. Well done Shaun. Good to hear mate Which plug/connector in the boot was it? Just in case it happens to someone else

  16. Testing from home computer Well it looks like it's IE11. I'm using IE10 at home and it doesn't appear to be an issue....but at work on 11 It's okay - I'll revert to IE10 at work tomorrow
  17. OMG ............... I Killed this
  18. Sorry mate but I'm getting frustrated. You started 5 topics - each one has now got theories from others in them with advice. Listen to the post above re no power to fuel pump/s ^. That will certainly stop your car from running (Fuel, Oxygen, Spark) It's nice to get advice and maybe there is a quick n easy fix you could do yourself. If you HAVE to DIY then create a list from obvious to not obvious and check it off. To summarise the possible issues suggested in some of your threads in no particular order but if there is no fuel then START from there. CAS + connection - Spark Power to pump - Fuel, Cranks doesn't start Fuel Relay - " Fuel Pump - " Fuel Filter - " Fuel Reg - " IC Piping - Pressure (AFM's) Sparkplugs (fouled). Spark Earthing - Spark Coilpacks - Spark Loom - Spark Ignitor - Spark AFM - AF Ratios ECU - Management 02 (no!) Then take it to a mechanic, please.
  19. - my advice . listen to Eiji, Duncan, John and James if they want to chime in Use search to find out how to prep your car for the track and check the wakie site for what you need. Then ask questions.
