  1. Yeah that'd fapping tawrific Drew. By boat or flying in ?
  2. It's your thread but this is the result for me from following it through. May help you Root Cause: Spacer for top sealed ring on wrongside causing all the oil to be lifted/pushed to the top. Impact: Oil Starvation Damage Caused: Top+Bottom end - Including Cylinder Bores, Bearings, Rods, Crank, Pistons, and Turbos. Costs awarded on the basis of Root cause but not all the causual effects of the root cause. Cost of the parts and labour required to resolve disputed by engine builder even though having a full and signed quote, and the diffreneces between his buy price and quoted price of parts on quote to resolve. In fact bugger all awarded for all the damaged new parts. Really the amount awarded in my case added upto the Labour component of the build. Good Luck. My advice would be to keep a level head, retain your patience, try not to get overly emotionally involved and be persistant. Dont settle along the way, see it through to the end. It's extremely taxing emotionally and leaves a bad taste. However hopefully it will provide an example and hold those accountable.
  3. I'd also like a PM on the workshop. Did you provide the shop "first right of repair" and did they decline? Can you proove this ? When you had it removed and stripped did you have an independant engineer on hand to take pictures and provide a written report (root cuase - like poor workmanship, incorrect assembly etc..? This will come in handy. Especially if it is an engineer on the CTTT list use them as there evidence is undisputable. Cost $600. Do you have their invoice and how detailed is it? What does it say about Warranty and Workmanship? During the process you have just started it as been my experience they will mediate a conference with you and the registerd business owner of the shop. Perhaps twice even. This is where they will attempt to reach a comprimise. If this fails you will both submit in writing your cases and appear in "court" Submit engineers report, Workshop reports, costs to date, Invoice etc.. The ruling is legal and final. If/when and how much is ruled in your favour orders will be made for payment/s to you. Quite often these "people" cry poor and will make payment over time. If they default then all becomes due. After the ruling their workshop will also receive regular visits to ensure all is on the up and up. Is the workshop a member of the MTA or similar in your state? Do they have insurance to cover and can/will they use it. If their fee paying members you will be lucky if they cant/dont pay (go bankrupt on you, or they have no colateral). Because eventually the MTA will step in and pay you out If they dont show up the case will be ruled in your favour for the full amount you have claimed. You then go get an order to have their bank account garnished for the amount owing. And/or the sherrifs can go to their shop and take/sell parts to pay you I suggest you obtain their bank account details. If it doesn't make sense then I am happy to chat over the phone. PM me. Ps. Total cost to me was sub $1000 the second time. Engineers report, lodgement fees, Cour orders, Garnishing Orders, Orders for the Sherrif to attend the place of business (one off cost). Cost to me of work done on first rebuild including parts $18,000. Cost recoverd $7500. 2nd Rebuild cost $24k. I got some extras that weren't in the first build (my choice) Time frame to recover the money from 1st build was over 12 months. Time to get it resolved through the process 2 years !! So adding it up 3years

  9. Navara Arctic +50. Worth a try to see if you like them, I have meant to. I like the H4 Hids in the N1's but thats me. They were not real good in the projector headlights but I have found in the N1's it turns night into day. and I like that !! Agree to adjust headlights properly as the HID's can blind on comming traffic and those your following, if not dipped down a little further. Some people just dont like HID's...

  12. I'll double check but I'm fairly certain I'm running 6000 and they're White not Blue The fog lights look good in yellowish. But If you really wanted to you could swap the globes out of the foglights too and put 120% brighter globes in (white). I'll be giving that a shot to see the results

  14. A successful rancher died and left everything to his devoted wife. She was a very good-looking woman and determined to keep the ranch, but knew very little about ranching, so she decided to place an ad in the newspaper for a ranch hand. Two cowboys applied for the job. One was gay and the other a drunk. She thought long and hard about it, and when no one else applied she decided to hire the gay guy, figuring it would be safer to have him around the house than the drunk. He proved to be a hard worker who put in long hours every day and knew a lot about ranching. For weeks, the two of them worked, and the ranch was doing very well. Then one day, the rancher's widow said to the hired hand, 'You have done a really good job, and the ranch looks great. You should go into town and kick up your heels.' The hired hand readily agreed and went into town one Saturday night. One o'clock came, however, and he didn't return. Two o'clock and no hired hand. Finally he returned around two-thirty, and upon entering the room, he found the rancher's widow sitting by the fireplace with a glass of wine, waiting for him. She quietly called him over to her. 'Unbutton my blouse and take it off,' she said. Trembling, he did as she directed. 'Now take off my boots.' He did as she asked, ever so slowly. 'Now take off my socks.' He removed each gently and placed them neatly by her boots. 'Now take off my skirt' He slowly unbuttoned it, constantly watching her eyes in the fire light. 'Now take off my bra.' Again, with trembling hands, he did as he was told and dropped it to the floor. Then she looked at him and said, 'If you ever wear my clothes into town again, you're fired.' :rofl2: :rofl2: (Yeah, I didn't see it coming, either.)
