  1. Nice to meet you Andy and big thanks for the Burbs. Goodluck @ Dickson
  2. Andrew is right If your going Nistune contact them directly and buy the daughter board for your car directly $280. Then you could contact Autotech in Hume and ask them how much for install and tune. It will be cheaper than CRD. Autotech quoted me 1200 to buy, install and tune. I know you can buy it cheaper going direct and perhaps a friend on here will solder the daughterboard on to your motherboard for a good price. Then there is only the Tune to be done at Autotech. (Z32 Ecu ($50)
  3. Great stuff. I have last years at work. Makes the days a bit better..
  4. Well done awesome car.
  5. Isn't it strange how the cost of parts is almost the same as the cost of Labour. I've found this goes for most things and most trades.
  6. OK - why not. I'll try RHD then NeeSan
  7. Appreciate if you could help me. I'd like to find and buy "A" Pillar/s and Sun visors for R32 GTR Must be in near mint condition plse My drivers side "A" pillar has 3 small screw holes from a gauge holder. Lastly and I know it's a big stretch but a working clock Just doing the finishing touches on a ground up restoration.
  8. Yeah true and that's very good figures. I think they're 160psi new so around 155+ is ideal for age and way less than the 10% variation. I know you wouldn't keep crap either as your Plan B. as for buying it's not for me but a friend who appears to have gone the rebuild path instead. i'm sure he will be back if he changes his mind. Well priced working RB26's are a premium atm.
  9. an extra 50hp but less comfort and nice things. I'm a comfort creature cant you tell
  10. Nissan 350Z Track or it's big brother R35 GTR (just fapping)
  11. Sounds close to the mark. But as you say if you can save on Labour all the better... Maybe someone on here can help for less ?
  12. From memory the first rebuild was about $10k with new JE forgies, Eagle rods, Poncams. ACL race bearings, ARP headstud kit, full head service etc... Out/In cost $2800 extra plus consumables like all fluids, sparkplugs and gaskets to bolt the boltons back on. Same shop Nik used. So $12k to $15k is on par with ESP's quote but thats with all NEW pistons, rods, cams, bearings so you should come out if most of your internals are ok for $7k plus out/in of your block. Second rebuild would have been the same except I needed new turbs, new JE Pistons oversized and I also decided to go more the full monty with 9.5l sump, Nitto oil pump & crank collar, Koyorad, CAB, 2L custom oil catch can, Haltech platinum pro ecu and the list goes on and on. This one is In the vicinity of just over $20k - CRD Oil starvation twice with big end bearing failures scared the bejeezus out of me. Now I have more oil than Texas in the GTR
  13. He doesnt work - Full stop ! I dont know why we pay him
  14. Maybe send it to Racepace - I've been in Nik's GTR
  15. UNIgroup is a shop a fair few of the Sydney lads use and swear by. Just another option. Personally I wouldn't go local even if you were paying for my rebuild.
  16. +1 for CRD. They did my 2nd rebuild. $400 to get Tony (aka Fridge) From Eurotow to put it on his awesome truck and take it up to Sydney. You can drive it back. My GTR has done this trip and no hassle and no damages. I have even traveled back with Tony in his truck.
  17. Drew. Honestly if your block had the above done I'd go straight to rebuilding it. Check the side of your block to confirm it is an N1 first. People who spend money on these would normally have the rest of the job done properly too. Makes me surprised it's blown so soon. It's either had a real flogging/lack of basic maintenance or wasn't built quite right. The obvious down side to you is the time your GTR's off the road. The upside is you have just about enough to get the rebuild done properly and the time to get the rest while it is being rebuilt. As Andrew said try and get the block out with a few peeps off here and save yourself a few grand. BTW. 12-15 grand is a bullet proof build with everything replaced and nothing re-used. You have put some really good thought into your options already. Just thought I'd sum it up.
  18. Really nice. and a good price. I dont expect this will be for sale for very long. Ps. The muffler looks like the HKS super drager
  19. Sprung big fella - LULZ
  20. Hey Pete a couple of questions what was the year model of the GTR this RB26 came out of ? and do you have the psi per cylinder ? Cheers Richard
  21. Verada - Yep. or a Falcon BA XT . Good daily's and reliable. A 380 Magna if you can get one for the price. What makes a good daily is generally what ever the Taxi companys buy. Although dont buy an eX taxi - lol
