  1. wow, I think that mota & car build might be a bit more involved than mine lol Have gone for the motor only on mine as tbh once this is built I plan to leave it be Famous last words ... As it is I've got my mota built up and in the car, but am now waiting on getting the exhaust manifold modded Hopefully I will get sorted soon
  2. Am using a Neo GTT head on a Spool RB34 build but with S1 R33 gtst loom. Its all but done wiring wise apart from this coil loom To run the matching neo coils ive picked up a S2 coil loom and changed all but 3 of the wires over to match the S1 loom All of the other wires colour matched fine apart from these odd 3 Hopefully you can see I'm left with these 3 odd wires to join below ... 1x black with red? tracer in the 2 pin plug from the S1 loom 1 x black/yellow in the S1 loom 1 x black with grey spots in the S2 coil loom Q's are ... Is the black with red tracer just an earth as that is in the same 2 pin plug the white power wire was in? Does the black/yellow connect to the black grey spots or are they also earth wires Hope this makes sense to you guys ... cheers
  3. You don't need the little spring stop stud so just unscrew it.
  4. Can I ask where you got the manifold and price ? Has it a RB25/26 universal flange and T4 ? Can't tell by those pics Cheers Spent the day reading through the whole thread again. What a bloody roller coaster. It's been a little dead in here so time for a bump. EFR 8374 1.05 ass end. 6 boost twin scroll manifold. 38 mm Tial gates will be used. Still waiting on those guys (talk about lead time)
  5. Cheers for the info
  6. Hi Does anyone know if the RB20DET upper cam belt covers all interchange with other RB20 motors ? I have one in metal from an R31, but unsure if it straight fits RB 32 or 33 engines, or all the same anyway ta
  7. You can get upgrade springs over there from Spool for a Neo with titanium retainers Should do the trick no ?
  8. Sweet, thanks for the info n pic !
  9. XK, How does the 2.6 get away with only the one feed and the other blanked ? Angry, From what I gather those running hydraulic lifters (GTST head) need to retain a larger oil feed to keep the lifters pumped. A Neo being solid lifters doesn't require as much, aka RB26 style feed with one blanked
  10. Ok cheers, guess knocking 2 new restrictors in should do the trick- I hope lol Angry, am using a Neo (and retaining vvt) head on a 3.4 bottom end with Nitto pump so plan to blank the rear and 1.5 in the front
  11. The motor I've received looks like they've been removed, so can someone confirm 100% if the 2 factory 2mm oil restrictors in the upper face of the block have any sort of check valve in or below them to stop the oil from flowing back when the motor is turned off? Are the restrictors just pressed into empty oil way feeds with nothing below them? One site says yes and must not be removed, but am also told nothing below them so no problem if removed and replaced?
  12. Hi if known 100% ok am interested if you can send us a few more pics But first could/would you be able to deliver it to a garage in Berkeley Vale, 2261, NSW in person in with that price ? If so can send payment no problem btw, what yr car was it from? cheers
  13. Cheers for the info It was actually a few posts I read on here a while back that got me thinking but they didn't go into detail as to why As for the head I am looking at valve springs atm just to see who offers what. Yes I will be using uprated springs (and cams) so if that's the issue then the problem shouldn't occur Red line would be set to 8.5k with a GT35 until I decide on a more suitable turbo
  14. Out of interest what are you guys with modded R34 Neo heads getting them to rev to ? Only ask as read a few posts about them flipping shims out at high rpm ? What the cause is I don't know but anyone had any experience of this or know why they do this? Just poor clearance or that's what they do ? btw do they just run flat if this happens or damage the head/engine ta boot Alternatively if it is a problem can they be converted to shim under bucket - GTR style n parts ? Cheers
  15. Cheers yes it might be ok but as its going on a high value engine build I rather not chance it now Last thing I need is for that to fly apart at high rpm or shake the nose of the crank off Not to worry as Spool are now kindly looking into the cost of a new part, only they are right out of parts normally given away Go figure lol
