I never investigated as I'm not really looking for a strut bar since mine is coming with a HKS kansai old school style bar already. He just offered if I wanted it. He did say "the new", I'm not exactly sure how new. But he said its just like the one his r34 (i to questioned it as I never heard about it) . Sounds like its exactly the same as the ones they made for 33 and 34 with the nismo or omori option.
-
I was to my man. I was like wtf I never knew it existed. It's not on the site either. But he is in japan and has a r34 built by top secret. So I tend to believe him.
-
if we can get a group buy on it, count me in. THe nismo one that is. He said its exactly like the one on his r34. You have omori or nismo logo choice.
-
its new. They make it now. He offered me the mines one also because its cheaper. sure Ryan not a problem. we also do a similar one by Mines we are a mine dealer they are around £700 so alot cheaper if thats what you are after?
-
lol my contact in japan just asked me if I wanted one with my nismo oil cooler setup. Its new. I told him I'll pass on it as I would rather buy other more important stuff right now. hi Ryan no worries, i will put this order through on email for you now. do you want anything else shipped with this cooler? oil caps, rad caps etc or the new Nismo Titanium brace for the R32? that is the same price actually well, its £1150 from memory

Bnr32 Gtr Build ('murica!) Nismo Heavy
JTCC replied to JTCC's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Yea I don't even know what I have into mine. Rare parts tax + nismo tax + gtr tax doesn't really make it fair lol. That, with my 240sx, I don't even want to guess. My RB25 is way more built than this GTR will be(at least for now). That exhaust alone was a little over 5k after shipping. It's the japan shipping that really gets me. I could go with way cheaper alternatives, but I like what I like. -
They do now. It's about 2000 USD

Got another piece in the mail today. Had to pay the nismo tax on this one being it came from a fellow collector. Completes my set of knick knacks -
Im pretty sure you can still buy those strut bars new....for a lot cheaper. At least I know you can for r32. Unless they don't offer that old nismo style plate. I know you have a omori factory or nismo option. Finally picked up the last piece of old school nismo knick knacks. Finish off my set of period correctness. I almost feel bad opening these lol. I will use everything but the fashion lighter. To many of those opened already.

Years of yahoo japan hunting and occasionally up garage. Every once and a while I will persuade a fellow collector with $$$ to sell me a particular piece if I am having a hard time finding the piece in a decent condition on my own. But you know how hard it is to get a nismo collector to part with certain parts lol. -

Those are the only ones that are legal. We have to wait 25 years exactly to the month it was built for it to be allowed on shores legally. I know of a few GTS-T. Haven't really seen any 4 doors. But I'm sure there are a lot of people who don't really get on forums to much. Yea our import crowd is funny. It's like some life achievement of coolness if you see a GTR. I have seen them over 10 years ago lol. Its mostly the new age kids that are all about the Fast N Furious that go over the top. It's like they are star struck to a car lol. I guess I'll find out how bad it really is once mine arrives. There are some kids that don't even know what a r32 is. It's all R34 for them lol. As far as price goes, I paid just under 20k for mine. That is a total cost with shipping etc. They kept it in japan for 7 months to wait for legality. Which judging by how clean it looks, I think is a fair price. But I have seen other importers sell some pretty beat ones for 20-25k. I guess it just depends on who you go through. There are some pretty well tuned ones 5-6-700hp that you can pick up for 25-35k depending on how far its gone. Which I myself thought about getting an already built one because its super cheap for what you are actually getting. Getrag transmissions, built blocks, single turbos, all kinds of bolt ons etc. They are just old cars from tuning shops. But I kind of wanted to build my own, not have someone else's toy. -

Yea I have wondered what other gauge I should get. Either oil pressure or boost. The thing is the Nismo DIN gauge has boost on it, but only up to 1.2 bar. I don't want to many extra gauges, but I do think that water and oil temp are pretty crucial on these engines. Thanks, It's good to see a group of people that understand what they are looking at. A lot of "enthusiasts" in USA have no clue. It's like a FnF rice fest up here. Not sure if Australia is like that or not. Nice, I may have to hit you up for a job lol. I have been running my rig truck for a year now. Just got laid off from up in West Virginia 2 days ago actually. Did 3 natural gas well heads, piping them in to water/sand separators, GPU's and the sales lines. Think I'm headed to south Texas in like a week for a small compressor station. I used to do oil refineries before I ran my rig truck. That was mostly tig welding though. I kind of like the downhill stick welding the oil field uses. It's kind of funny, I was doing a compressor station up in Colorado when I went to the porta john for a little break (if you know what I mean). Checked my facebook and saw one of the importers I go through for parts had this GTR for sale. Bought it right their lol. The road life is strange, but I love it lol. Never in a million years would I think I would buy a GTR like that haha. The most expensive bathroom break I've ever had. -

thanks guys. Still would like a few nismo products that are proving tuff to find. Nismo radiator and oil cooler kit. If anyone has any leads, please let me know. The goal of build is just to keep it pretty simple, but quality and totally streetable. I don't really want to open the engine up yet. I will probably try to make it as much nismo as possible. I'm waiting to get the car so I can see what kind of shape things are actually in. I'm sure it's pretty decent, but I will replace worn items etc before buying some performance piece not really needed. As far as power goes, I just plan on some -9 turbos for now and a safe tune on the stock internals. I'm thinking 450 hp max. It will mostly be a bolt on build. I guess I will be pushing the 2.6 as far as it will go. Then if the engine starts to show signs of fatigue, then I will look into rb28/30 or maybe just try and get a nismo crate motor. I will just have to wait and see when that time comes. I want to keep it as nismo as possible. But some items I just don't think nismo is the way to go. Its kind of just my personal taste/preference on things. -

Im from Missouri. But I'm a pipe welder. So I travel the country constantly. I'm sure being from Louisiana you are familiar with the welding lifestyle. Seems like there is a lot from down that way. I know quite a few in the Baton Rouge/New Orleans area. -

Thank you. I have a lot more crap not pictured but I don't want to clutter this thread with random parts. Trying to keep it GTR specific. -

Midori Seibi complete titanium exhaust system. 90mm Outlet pipes Front pipe. Super super light lol. My digital bathroom scale said 3.4 lbs. (1.5 KG). plus or minus. Complete setup, NR exhaust system, decat pipe, front pipe, outlets Then I have some parts that I may take from my rb25det build on my s13 since its not running. I also have a full-race turbo manifold for RB engines but I want to keep this GTR on twins. Tomei cam gears Raw Brokerage fuel kit ID 1000cc injectors Panasport G7 C5C2-SP wheels. They are 18 inches. But I would have to have these relipped and barrelled into better GTR sizings. Advan RG originals in GTR sizes. 18x9.5 +12 -

Hello land down under. Just wanted to share my r32 build since we are finally cool in the states haha. I know its pretty old for you all. Anyways, last December I bought my dream car. The bad thing was it is a June 1990 model. US law states that it has to be 25 years old to the build date to be legal. So I had to wait.....still waiting lol. Should be here around the 28th of July. It's on the boat now. Anyways, being a pretty hardcore s13 enthusiast I have been in the nissan game for a long while. I am kind of a nismo fanatic. But will go a different direction on parts where I think I should. Lets get to some pictures. The car was bought from global auto. I bought the car through GTR Garage. The back story that I came to understand is that this car has been garage kept its whole life. It has 88,000 KM on it. The owner focused more on suspension than doing any kind of heavy tuning. He wanted to harness the stock power. He took the car to HKS kansai to have the work done. So it naturally has HKS parts on it. Here is the list. 1990 BNR32 GTR build. 49,000 original miles (this is how I bought it) RB26DETT Fujitsubo Legalis-R Evolution Exhaust, HKS Iridium Plugs, HKS Hipermax-II Coilovers, HKS Kansai Lower Brace Bar Set, HKS Kansai Front Tower Bar, Nismo Air Filter Nismo Front Arms, Nismo Rear Arms, Nismo Shift Knob, Nismo Floor Mats, Acre Brake Pads, Rays TE37 Wheels (17x9+22), Carrozerria Audio, Panasonic ETC So I am starting with a pretty clean, well maintained slate. Which is what I like. I'm going to try and keep this thing as clean and tasteful as physically possible. I plan on keeping the body totally stock as is. No nismo vents or anything. Just how it is. For some reason this bare bones stock look has grown on me. I have been steady buying up parts for this car and have already had some lying around for years that I planned on using on my s13. Here are a few pictures of what will be going on the car for now. I have focused more so on small little OEM and nismo dress up options, along with a few performance pieces. My main focus is keeping it clean and very tasteful. I want to keep the car on an "original" kind of basis. Nothing way to crazy as I want the car to still remain a r32 GTR not some super built track monster. Just a fun street car that can perform on the track when I want to have a little fun. Reached the picture limit. Will have to wait for thread to be approved before I update with more pics. Sorry. What is the picture limit?

got some nismo goods in for the 32 Figure i'd throw this up since its damn sexy to leave alone. Full midori titanium 90mm setup.
-
its just a nismo, not a weldina. I believe the weldina exhaust will have a weldina tag on them somewhere. I think the muffler tip will say "NE1 weldina". Its a dual 60mm that collects into a 80m. The nismo carbon pictured is a cool item for the nismo freak if you want a non aggressive stainless steel exhaust. Me personally, always been a titanium kind of guy.
