  1. yeah aussie cop cars are pretty solid and in fact very capable but i just like the meaner looking US ones i just love those bullbars, that NSW HWP Raptor is a beast looking thing though
  2. would you happen to have a part number?
  3. So I'm in a dillemma.. Bought my 2009 V36 Skyline with Infiniti badging and it looks really nice and all, the front and back is badged Infiniti along with the wheel centre caps But, the interior airbag cover, scuff plates and engine cover and when the car turns on, the headunit says Nissan. So should I stop lying to myself and change the car back to a JDM Nissan Skyline? Or go through with it and badge the scuff plates, airbag and engine as an Infiniti? Costs will be around the same either way I decide to badge it. Thanks guys!
  4. yeah i get kinda loud clunks in changing gears when it's cold, if warm the clunks sound normal and fine my driveway is on a slight slope so maybe that's why also and i always get the clunking sound from the brakes every morning
  5. I realise that there are very minor if any gains are to be made from installing a cold air or short ram intake but the most noticeable effect would be the induction sound and roar from the engine, which at the moment I do kind of crave. Looking around on the G37 forums etc, I've seen several people doing something called a Ghetto Air Box Mod (GAB), basically cutting a hole in the stock airbox and with that, much greater induction noise. Since I might actually purchase an intake (R2C most likely), I will probably try this out and install some K&N Panel Filters along the way, maybe put some mesh over the hole to reduce any solids that may fly through into my air filters. But before I try, has anyone done this modification here?
  6. i'm thinking i should just platidip my original buttons, or vinyl wrap with some funky colour giving it a retro look pretty much know the buttons off the top of my head now
  7. my view is probably skewed since my last car was a holden ve commodore haha the 370gt/370z BBKs are directly interchangeable with sedans?
  8. my mistake, not the BBK but the slightly larger sport model brakes over the standard/premium model
  9. got mine off the showroom of nagoya motors caringbah, very good condition, although the gloss and shine did deceive some very small cosmetic inconsistencies (can't call it damage since it's minor) maybe in several years i can afford to go back and trade my 09 v36 for a later 13/14 v36
  10. yeah i think my Type S 370GT has the same kit, these brakes are great only a small touch is needed to brake smoothly (although the rev matching, harsh downshifting with the v36s make it less smooth) and when you really need to brake hard, it stops the car very strongly indeed
  11. I'll give it a shot anyway, won't hurt too much if I mess up and it's reversible. DIY cables from JayCar
  12. i would...but my technical expertise is taking the front bumper on and off lol i was thinking of getting the stillen kit from Concept Z Performance, is there an improvement in shift timing with your v36?
  13. i'll try my luck, thanks for the info
  14. did you make it yourself or buy it online?
  15. As most of us have experienced some harshness, lag, etc in our shifting of the V36 gearbox, I looked what could alleviate or fix the issue so I found that there were two things that seemed to work the most: - Tune - Grounding Kit I read on the US G37 forums about how these things worked with the electrical signals and everything allowing for smoother and faster shifting, some say it works and some say it doesn't, but for the price point of a grounding kit ~$150 AUD (inc. shipping), it seems much more cost effective than a tune I can't budget for at the moment Contacting some suppliers in the US, one of them has told me the grounding kit would not fit properly since there's is designed for left-hand drive and the battery is on the opposite side but a custom kit is an option (the guy hasn't replied since). There is a DIY guide on the myG37 forum which I can provide a link to if anyone's interested. Has anyone tried installing a grounding kit here in Australia? Does it work and is it worth getting?
  16. off topic does the factory radar cruise control work as a jammer?
  17. is yours tuned at all? still stock?
  18. reviving ancient thread to get more ideas - english headunit conversion - infiniti badging - stock everything else for now
