NO_RSPECT

hey howie... do you have any idea what the mini plug is called.. as you can see in the picture it looks like the antenna plug for a radio... but its actually 3.5" mini i can find some coaxial cable... it looks a little smaller than the cable for a radio.. i am sure its just the shielding thats different.

I have an R34 with factory gps and tv. this has mostly been removed I have however kept the gps antenna and the tv antennas There are 2 clarion antennas with no reference to the model numbers on the web.. assuming its a factory provided system from clarion to nissan. Anyways the factory setup had an NTSC tuner in the boot. So the antennas are short.. its a 4 way diversity setup for TV. now i have a clarion TVX6651 and it needs the same 4 diversity inputs from the antennas. How can i extend it from the boot to the front... what can be used.. needs to travel like 3 meters.. factory tv antenna is also on the rear windscreen. please help, i want to setup the screen with tv. thanks

in terms of 'doesn't fit' what you mean? is it with the rear shocks... slightly different setup to what you thought?

i just want the side skirts and rear bar from the IMPUL kit. its not chunky at all and thats what i like. . i would prefer to add a lip to the stock front bar.. or perhaps track down the nismo factory front bar to match the rest of the impul kit

does anyone know what the reasoning is behind why there are no copy versions of the east bear stuff.. i mean vertex gear just went MAD with copies.. GRRRRRRR nearly 7k for kit that looks like a GTR is soooo much

where have you seen the piping that runs down the factory side? me wanty i got the normal crossover style piping.. brand new not installed yet..

yo chris... the radio antenna part is sorted.. got a converter to go into the clarion TVX6551 and then the unit has an output to go into a normal deck antenna.. so that part rocks the tv antennas is exactly what i am on about... i am glad you know about these...does not seem to be much info on SAU at all. my question was phrased like crap So...i should from what i know have tv antennas in the car somewhere cos i was picking up channel 7 (sound only) scrambled picture with the original system. Now i want to utilise those antennas for this aftermarket clarion system. Do you know where in the roof so I can trace them... should i pull down the a pillars? when i find them... can i buy some pin style connectors to wire to the ends of the existing antenna plugs and then plug it into the clarion unit. or should the pin style MINI antenna plugs already be hiding in the car somewhere... thanks for answering so quickly chris

anyone know about the factory sat nav antennas? i ripped out the r34 factoy setup, and now have a clarion tv screen....it has input for diversity antennas but i can see the plugs are different...oly cos i cant see a mini normal stereo antenna plug anywhere... if i trace which plug actually goes to the antennas in the pillars...how can i get hold of the plugs so i can make it work with the clarion tv??

SHORT ANSWER = NO LONG ANSWER = I should start by saying... the inputs are NTSC for TV and dont pick up aussie tv except channel 7.. and then its scrambled cos of the NTSC versus PAL. Second Xanavi do not manufacture any maps at all for australia so you will be lost in japan somewhere. after pulling everything out of mine.. i realised there is an INPUT in the boot. It is RCA... but the assumption is it has to be NTSC signal. So an option you have is.... put a carputer in the boot and RCA output from that into the boot input. then switch the system to VTR1 or VTR2... cant remember which.. the input on the front of the navigation system is vtr1 i think.. anyways whichever input gives you picture is the one you want. that way you can use the factory screen with a touchpad or something and use it for everything a carputer can offer like GPS/divx/mp3 etc.. Only drawback is you will be using the factory stereo for audio as the navigation etc all pipes in through the factory decks AUX input. You could use some line level converters etc as found on the CAA forums to add amplifiers and still have a decent sounding setup. OR You can remove everything and try to fit another screen into the factory console area, but you will lose the motorised flip up. but this way you wont need NTSC signals just use normal PAL. and thenyou can replace your headunit etc etc.. For all the costs.. i would look at car computers as a means of using the double din space under the navigation system for a nice touchscreen. Also if you choose to remove the screen and want a double din space you need the climate control from an r34 with the triple gauges and the double din surround etc.. well i hope this is detailed enough... enjoy..

Fellas with tiptronic 34's When doing your cooler install... assuming its a Hybrid/China cooler etc Did the oil cooler or the fan next to it get in your way at all? Does the front bar just need a bit of trimming? Thats pretty much it when i look down.. i keep thinking its going to have to move somehow on the 33 i had to remove the fan any help appreciated I havent found much in the way of searching.. i apologise if there is a thread.. if so.. point me to it instead. thanks

A car came flying down alexander road in belmont about 15 mins ago Lost it under brakes about 30 meters from hardey road. took out a tree in front of a house about 40 meters from my place car was in the trees so very hard to see i think it was an Au falcon or a BA falcon... no idea... spokey wheels.. it was friggin loud and what a huge BOOM at the end when it struck the tree... incrediblel about 8 cop cars attended.. they are still there now looked to me like a young chick in a short skirt got led into the police car... anyways i am sure there will be more on the news perhaps.. lata folks oh and more like 20 mins now... happened areound 8:20pm iNSANE

i reckon the G35 pictured....should have the bumper with a slightly higher angle so it mates better with the bonnet line... from the side it looks as if there is a dip where they meet.. i can also see there is like a mini vent/grill/hole there for getting to the bonnet latch.. that should have been shaped to meet the bonnet better.. thats all... not like i could do it

i would recommend the mp3car forums... there is heaps of info.. which should hopefuly lead to an interface of some sort... this is amuch newer system than some of the other navi systems... you may be in luck... i remember seeing a thread on a G35... some american dude... might as well get to searching.. i decided to junk my systemm and then a few weeks later found the input module in the boot.. i could have plugged anything composite into it... including a car pc... frick

oh no i already have everything i need to do piping.. crossover style.. i did the piping when i turboed the satria.. that worked out fine.. but .. i want to go down the factory side instead of crossover the radiator...was thinking might be neater to get a bend fabricated.. but it not.. i don't care.. i do know what i am doing... so will just do it the best way i can... or i will cop out and do the piping the most popular way.. oh and 8OOSTED...i think i have a mate who will be keen on the kit.. fo shizzle

time for a bump I wanna know who can make me a pipe to go either under or behind the cooler then up the factory side. I have a kit with full piping and clamps etc.. and the only thing bothering me is i do not want to lose the R34 engine cover.. so who are you recommending? private people who do exhaust and pipework is fine.. just dont want to pay excessively for it. don't care if the bend costs me 2.5hp in flow at the end of the day
