  3. hahahaha ROB77 The decisions go through me mate.. anyways no one knows jack all about imports in our call centre so they have to ask me. Was it James that called you ?? Basically if you are purchasing your car with mods (say it is imported with bov. fmic, exhaust) and then you licence it and it passes as is and if we are offering cover based on that then you are fine. If the car is bog standard and then you go ahead and start modifying it we NEED to know because we like nearly all insurance companies like to know if a car we have underwritten (and the 'agency' in just another department that process everything, we underwrite all out insurance ourselves) has now differed from original. In the same way that you alter your car any insurance company has a right to alter your contract once notified as the risk can be different. Same goes for RAC how they said might be a difference in premium well it might be because you first need to let them know so they can reassess and then make the change to your contract of insurance. If no one knows what you have done and you smash it, anyone can refuse because THE RISK IS DIFFERENT and so all bases need to be covered. Its fairly simple and like imports (which people all dont know alot about) insurance is the same. The masses dont understand what underwriting insurance is all about. HBF as an example are and have always been a domestic private use insurer so ... we are not set up appropriately to cover high performance imports. We have only recently started branching into it, thanks to my pestering (to get my car covered...haha) So in time we will be alot better set up to handle them, as training needs to be changed etc and basically staff have a hard time explaining things. Famous insurance are well set up from the sounds of things as well as alot of other specialist insurers like Shannons. I mean throw us a holden commodore and there will be no dramas but stick something strange into the equation and then all of a sudden each policy needs to be looked at on its own merits. Basically AGE, HISTORY, CAR, MODIFICATION LEVEL, (is the customer being a prat on the phone...we all know that last one is true when it comes to helping people out) I only work there mate and dont run the place so i couldnt really care what you said cos all the import TOTAL LOSS claims we have done so far (about 18 write offs since we started imports ... not long ago) have gone smoothly. , as most repairers have no clue as to mods. Just dont make your engine bay too shiny so it doesnt stand out too much when the repairers and assessors look at it or maybe smash it in the front so it cant be recognised. hehe Anyways peoples its late and I gotta prepare for another day of complaints etc so I will see you all L8R
  4. forget make offers, just list some prices for the deck

  12. Sir 33 RESTEKPA BRO Turbos are the same, fantastic. maybe it spools quicker due to computer changes or some other crap, but please PLASTIC WHEEL, i mean plastic, for real?? why would they do this to a car that starts with like 187KW and that is where it starts. I am sure once upon a time someone stuffed their wheel (dunno how etc) and then on some forum they said "boosted it till it felt like my ribs were in the back seat and then turbo carked it, dang impeller wheel...BLOODY THING IS LIKE PLASTIC" and someone took it seriously. but yeah ring nissan and check part numbers. same part number must be same part?? unless they go and change the wheel to a plastic one if you tell them it is a 1996 Anyways I am going to try and get an answer from Nissan or something official.
  13. No difference, people keep saying there is a difference. there is no plastic, the part numbers are the same through nissan. how can it be. anyone else want to clarify fark know why they didnt bloody make it ball bearing for frigs sake. anyways, dood, please search the WA forum for this question i think we clocked 4 pages or 5 or something stupid like that. all the info you could ever require to answer this is in there. lata g'day Joe, havin a nice day there are ya RiaZ
  14. hey guys, thanks for the responses. i get paranoid when stupid ccrap noises start exposing themselves. (damn george michael sounds) anyone get that LOL anyways to add fuel. it also shudders (only way i can explain it) when the car is cold and i am trying to engage first etc. does this concur with the thrust bearing thing. Seriously if i had a hoist how mechanically hard is it to rip this puppy off. will a rebuild kit to the trick. i hate rattles!!!!! Vspec mate I will catch you shortly, i will call first.
  15. try freshalloy online cos those crazy americans with their sr20's have done stuff like this. (i think) but yeah i really think it is quite possible. maybe someone can get in touch with japanese motorsport, i think they say something about a z32 afm for sale can be used with safc or powerfc, pretty sure
  16. OKey dokey peeps My clutch and i assume clutch...make a rattly noise. Okay car is idling , i am standing in front of it and i can hear this rattle, squeak, loose sounding noise. Then jump in the car and you can still hear it, and then i just touch the clutch pedal and move it in like 1cm and the noise stops. This would seem like the cable or the something or other is slightly loose. I have no clue what the noise is. so if anyone in perth is mechanically minded and would love to help me figure out what this is then that will be awesome. for everyone not in perth any suggestions would be fantastic. Umm i am sure that the car has a standard clutch but is there any way for me to know without taking anything out completely. thanks RiaZ

Does anyone feel generous enuff to lend me or let me purchase for like $200 a set of standard R33 wheels with tyres. 5 x 114.3 I need them for prolly a max of a month if you are willing to lend. And if you are lending the wheels, they will travel a max of like 20km the whole time I have them. 200sx damaged and wheels are all busted. Skyline is okay though, phew!! not my accident but my car so gotta sort something out. Oh yeah I will take 1 wheel from 4 people if i need to, beggas cant be choosers right. Any help will be fantastic. RiaZ

  21. yeah know what you mean hey. I just got a GTR reinforcement fitted so the kit slotted on nicely. i have been warned about this before by a few people. I had major dramas with my front bar anyways so i had to get it passed by welshpool tech centre or some crap. dang crazy anyways thanks for the warning and if you wanna send me some pics too please [email protected]
  22. there is also an HKS wastegate acutator that was featured in hot 4's a while ago. its like $199 and on a line it will bump stock boost to 12psi or 10psi or something. anyways simple to fit but it basically sets a new baseline for the boost so any mods from there will be even bigger. thats all i can remember i think BD4's are the distributors for them
  23. yeah thanks guys, i think the rears should be easy. the front i am not so sure of. but smeh... i will give it a go
