Please Help Re R34 Tv Screen And Cd Player
NO_RSPECT replied to Slats's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
if you go to the japan forums and type in buttons as a search it should bring up a thread where someone has posted the button translations.. or enough to help.. have you tried with the handbrake up and then handbrake down incase its wired the same as the current tv installs.. nothing works when handbrake is down.. there may be a problem with the actual power or the actual motor that lifts the screen.. might pay to just pull it out and have a look -
from what i have read so far on the soarer forums.. you can get a pal to ntsc converter for around $250 - $350 this will allow our pal tv signals to be picked up and used for tv, you might find you can hear some stations.. but not see them you can also get a portable in car dvd from stratties i think... sansui brand.. will output ntsc as well as pal.. so if the screen picks it up.. then cool i am researching for an R34 factory sat nav... made by xanavi...so i dont have this nice av input box thingo the panasonic has.. i mean there may be one hidden in the car somwhere.. i gotta look still just got the thing licenced.. so now the messing around begins

I want to utilise the R34 sat/nav lcd and link it to a carputer.. I guess my research has to begin now....oh its like starting at the tip of the iceberg... ouch.. I wanna pull the nissan cd/tv/gps unit out of the car get a replacement climate control like the R34's that come with the 3 gauges. Then try to use the xanavi screen for the carputer.. i guess i have about a weeks worth of reading first.. in order to come up with a solution.. if anyone has done anything like this already.. post up some inspiration for me. take care guys

Does anyone know if the tyre size for compliance is based solely on each compliance workshops own setup. Was wanting to know if there is any other way of being able to use 235/45/17's as the tyre for compliance? as opposed to 225/45/17's anyone been through anything similar...managed to get a favourable result.. I mean its no biggy really.. just a few extra bucks to replace the tyres afterwards.. but theres about $40 per tyre difference in the 225 versus 235 and a whole lottta better tyre quality

what grinds my gears are people at work that are absolutely SLACK... but somehow have managed to spend some time perfecting the "busy look", and manage to whinge so much, that it looks like they are working and running into issues and despite their obvious lack of ability in a job manage to get by. While others who are actually capable.. just seem to get ignored cos they never complain.. and always turn work in on time.... AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHhhh!!!!!!!!!!

any discussion of illegal activities on a publically accessible forum is a no no...take your question for tomj to a PM easy

Need A Set Of R34 Halogen Lights For Compliance
NO_RSPECT replied to JUNR34's topic in Western Australia
i think it depends on the workshop doing the compliance and how they have been passed... i read on one of these posts on this giant SAU of ours something to that effect. so if they originally did an r34 compliance by destroying the lights then that is the way it always has to be done... but heck i am no raw -
oh yeah the washer bottle, i read that on satanics website.NSW member. i hope it at least semi fits.. shouldn't be a big issue either way.. i did stainless piping on the satria conversion and that was fairly straight forward.

go to antilags for sale section.... says there are kits for 32, 33 and 34... most ppl here got 32's and 33's anyways.. when i fit one to a 34 i will let you know if its any good.. don't suspect any dramas noise...you had any problems specifically.? only thing i know of is the bracket attached to bolt to the block, needs to be modified a little to bolt up...even then, it doesnt really even need to be bolted once its all joined.. thats all i know of.. if you know of something else.. enlighten.. before too many people rush out

hahahaha rev210 i hope you deleted those posts yourself. Noise... aftermarket engine management is a big deal according to licencing... as i recall there are alot of emissions tests that need to be carried out to get it accepted. this is what i remember from the information night. Now i guess if you had some documentation to say that your aftermarket computer was passed and is acceptable..then you can submit that to HBF and ask for them to review the fact that your car is FULLY ROAD LEGAL with an aftermarket engine management system If you cant get that.. then the car isnt legal and insurance dont cover illegal vehicles...why would they. When you claim... if mods are illegal then your claim will more than likely be rejected.. For all those wondering why some policies are expensive... well turbo imports have been quite cheap through hbf for the longest time as the numbers grow on the books the prices will go up as the claims costs will go up. and rev....heard your story before.. last time a big insurance thread came up.. i wonder what other people with good claims experiences must have done to get good service.. weird how we discriminate against import owners? weird Companies like HBF that have been lax on their following up of imported vehicles have now started to crack down.. or rather pull in the reigns of their underwriting departments so that the growing number of customers can get decent service. Last thing you want is to claim and then find out that becuase of someone slack in the department you have to for some reason lose out on your claim or not get the best benefits possible. efficiency is usually good.. if not right away.. i am sure it will work out best in the end.
