FOR SALE - Must sell - going overseas Nissan skyline 1995 R33 GTST (turbo) Series 1.5 (series one body but series two engine from factory) Metalic Black (looks dark grey / almost purple in sunlight) 5 speed manual Minor mods Excellent condition 100,XXX km on the clock (~68,000 km when I bought it 3 years ago) Price $13,000 **************DOPPED FROM $14,000 on the 29-5-07************ I'm disapointed to be selling, it is such a nice car to drive and own, but the big wide world is calling. Things you need to know: The car is available for inspection in Townsville (West End) Please give me a call to arrange a look or ask a question (mob: 040 353 1284) My name is Patrick. I may be open to reasonable offers but I would prefere you come and take a look before you make an offer. No trades - can't take a car with me. I have seen a lot of skylines over the three years I have owned this one so I know it is a good example of a R33 GTST. I think the price I have posted is reasonable. I have spent thousands on mods and making sure it is in top condition since I bought it for $20k three years ago. One of the best around! There is not a single fault on this car. Engine is strong and healthy, paint is excellent and the interior is as new. I have had the car maintained at either Mercury Motorsport or Gaven Wood Autotech in Brisbane (it was only shipped to Townsville late last year) and have VERY regularly replaced the engine oil with Motul 8100 and Redline Shockproof in the gearbox and diff. I've got plenty of recepts if you would like to see them. 100k service has been done - All belts , bearings, idler pulley, water pump all replaced - got recipts from Gavin Wood Autotech Has run standard boost its whole life. Always garaged. I'm a professional mechanical engineer and a car enthusiast - I look after my cars. The car is also advertised on Carsales. Rego till October 2007. Just had a major service at Gavin Woods AUTech - All fluids, all filters, plugs, tune. Car will come with a Safety certificate. Some standard features I should mention: Climate control, power everything, factory option interior - not the crappy standard cloth finish, drivers airbag, ABS, genuine skyline floor mats. Modifications: Suspension Whiteline adjustable anti roll bars - front and rear Nizmo front shocks - Damping adjustable Bilstien rear shocks HICAS lock kit (bar type) Subframe allignment kit (pineapples) set for "all round performance" New heavy duty castor rod bushes Nizmo front strut tower brace AMG (Mercedes) mags 17 x 8 inch - look great and were very expensive! Goodyear Eagle F1 Tyres 235-45-R17 (80% tread all round) Brakes Feredo pads front and Nizmo rear Standard front disks just machined. Nizmo master cylinder support bracket. Motul RBF600 Brake fluid Engine Xforce turbo back exhaust (3 inch, madrel bent, highflow cat, cannon muffler) Apexi power intake air filter Interior Pionieer CD head deck. Pionieer front speakers Wolf alarm, immobiliser and remote central locking (Aust standard) FET Turbo timer Exterior GTR Front bumper and grill *********** Mechanical check welcome. I still have most standard parts (inc: HICAS, Exhaust and airbox) if you want them. Picture of engine bay is old - before I got the Apexi air intake fitted, all other pics current. Cheers, Patrick.

The new A380 Airbus was designed and tested completly by computer programs, no wind tunnels, no prototypes. It is amazing what they can do. Just an interesting point since you mention the real world testing issue above.

Intercooler Instead Of A Pod On Na
JCMarshall_Law replied to sam5709's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Who cares if it is going to work, NA cars with intercoolers are fully sick... tell him to do it!!! In fact I've got a mate who sells intercoolers... -
Alluminium is a very good conductor of heat. Anyway your right the coke can will work... bit dodgy though I can't believe this thread is still going, and that you still want your car to flutter.

Who is using your computer Abo Bob? Was that a joke? I've had mine replaced, it one of the very good value mods I've done. Makes the car much better to drive. Check the installation and the wheel allignment specs.

Cracks In Callipers
JCMarshall_Law replied to thirty four's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Cracks in the calipers or in disks??? Crack in the disk - no major - see above. Crack in the calipers - problem get them checked out by a reputable brake servicing workshop ASAP. -
I thought it was funny.
-
Sounds like a good idea, most of the automatic cars I've worked on have had 'in tank' coolers for the transmission fluid from the factory. I think it would work quite well for engine oil.

What, where did you hear this? Link please. Apexi sell millions of them, id be supprised if they were being discontinued without a re-placement. Have I been living under a rock?

Will Rb26dett Plenum Direct Fit Rb25det?
JCMarshall_Law replied to QRI05E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
No. This has been covered in great detail, another search should find what your after. -
Dosen't it still take more energy and produce more emissions making hydrogen just using petrol? "hydrogen - the most common element in the universe" yeah, most common but 99.99999999999% of it is contained in stars and gas clouds in space - not that easy to get to. Hydrogen in its elemental form on earth is in very very small proportions, 99.9999% makes up part of the water in our oceans.

You could put a supercharged big block v8 in a silvia if you really wanted. Anyhting is possible. Do you mean, will it just drop in? Will I be able to register it? More info required with your question.

Difference Between Brand And No-brand Intercooler
JCMarshall_Law replied to ckhawly's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah thats what I was thinking, since when have Hybrid coolers been top quality? They are still cheap, you can get a full kit off ebay for a 33 for $550. -
Someone who is more active than me will be able to confirm but I thougt the QLD "massive skyline cruise" gets about 70-100 cars every year. That is a reasonable effort.

Just guessing but I don't think economy comes into question when building a car like this. -
1995 R33 Gtst Skyline For Sale
JCMarshall_Law replied to JCMarshall_Law's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Yep car is in townsville, But now it is here, I've decided not to sell it for a couple of months, my partner is using it to get to work. I may consider letting it go early for the right price, so if you are really interested, give me a call (mob number in first post) Sorry mate. -
Get the Xforce Cat back in mild steel, 'proper' high flow cat (not Xforce) and get a CES Split dump pipe. With the same specs cat back exhausts pretty much the same performance wise. Don't bother with a cheap 'hi flow' cat they are probably not high flow. CES split dump pipes are a great bit of gear, better in every way than the cheap Xforce dump. My advice based on experience.

Gtr Brembos On Gtst R33
JCMarshall_Law replied to Kaido_RR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Well lucky my posts come with a liberal sprinkle of "I think" and "my guess is" Well that is interesting, the 33GTR brembo calipers bolt on to the 33GTST hey??? I was under the impression the mounting bolt spacing was different. I was looking into a brake upgrade about a year ago and I was sure someone told me they would not fit... damm. -
Gtr Brembos On Gtst R33
JCMarshall_Law replied to Kaido_RR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I'm pretty sure the 33/34 GTR brakes will not bolt onto a 33 gtst, the mounting points for the caliper are different. You will need a bracket adaptor, you can get one made up if you are keen and good with CAD. Or you can look around and buy a set, I have a feeling UAS sell a kit - but I'm not sure if it is for 33/34 GTR to 33 GTST. Yes it would be worthwile buying braided brake lines and you would use the ones from a GTST, it is their length and bracket positions that may be different. The fittings are the same (I think) but you will have to check - can someone confirm? 17 x 9 inch with +35 *should* fit, that is only my estimation. Yes it would be worthwile upgrading the master cylinder, pigger pistons will require more fluid flow which will require a bigger master cylinder. You may find you need to upgrade the master cylinder to be legal. BTW: This is a very expensive upgrade, what are you doing with the car? some very serious competition racing I hope? The GTST brakes are pretty good, just get good disks, pads, fluid, remove backing plates and a bit of ducting if heat is a problem. They are more than adequate for the street and fine for track days (street trim, 200rwkW, QLD raceway style straights)
