  5. Here here. I have had fade twice at EC now, good for the nerves. I've got green stuff pads front and back now, with stock rotors, been thinking of getting some DBA rotors for the front. Any ideas on who I should get these from ? Cheers Julian GTS-t
  6. This cold weather is giving me some trouble, noticed pinging earlier, been out and stuffed in some octane boost, hope that will sort it, first time I've tried it. My track tyres were showing 18 psi after 5 kms from cold. So put them up to 36 psi, but might lower them again on the track. What kind of psi are most people running with 225/50/17s ? About to take out the stero, shed a few kgs. Easier than going on a diet. See you there ! can't wait ! Julian GTS-t
  7. Dan, Great news !!. I'll change wheels over and prep the car then. Should be a fun day. Last time I was at the creek was to watch the V8s doing the rounds. We were standing in front of a Porsche that spun out at turn 3, turns out we were on telly. Ten played the race last weekend, and I saw us, but didn't have time to record it. Perfect shot of the kids and us talking to the very gutted driver. Famous at last!! Well kinda. See you all there. Julian GTS-t

  12. Example of cross drilled after a track day !! Expensive. This was a 330 mm EBC Disk. (UK) I wouldn't buy cross drilled again ! - Thanks for your input with this thread Steve.

  17. First thing - Performance - 189 rwkw with the Stinger, Cool box, FMIC, large cat back (unknown exhaust) 13 psi. The car drives smooth, the problem I had before was not knowing when the car was going to go well or just bog down. She was 154 rwkw at 13 psi before the Stinger. The stinger set up pulls strong with no noticeable drop in power through the rev range. I'm up on power, and the car is more driveable. Mark spent a lot of time on the car to get it right and this shows in the way she drives. I had an MBE system in the UK, more load points, but really stinger is just as smooth. The Stinger replaces the injection / ignition rather than the piggy back set-up like the S-AFC. The standard ECU is still there to support the rest of the cars functions. The software is PC based and easy to use, just a modem cable and your up. Works with kpa not PSI, but that’s only a small thing. Cost well Mark puts these in including set-up etc for $1600. That’s a good price compared to a power FC, and isn't too bad considering it is a better set-up than a S-AFC. The air flow meter is thrown away as MAP is used, so one less thing to go wrong, plus no BOV issues with stalling. I'm on the track on Tuesday, I'll update based on how she goes under a lot of load. So far Happy, no very happy !!! Julian
  18. Guys, I'm looking for some local knowledge. I've got hold of some 17" wheels without tyres. I want to put on the some semi racing tyres for track days that are road legal enough to drive to the tack. Question is what kind and where to buy them ? Any advice would be great, I've done a quick search and didn't find any past threads on the subject. Thanks Julian
  19. I've got the day off, and I'm picking up the car on Thursday so now up to 75% chance of being there..... Anyone going to have the lap timing gear or a stopwatch, would love to get some idea of our times ?

  21. My Car is with Mark at the moment getting an EMS Stinger...I'll let you know what I think when I get it back.... Anyone else got one of these ?
  22. Count me in !! Anyone know how to get the interior mirror out, the camera didn't work out too good last time, nice view of my eyes I will have my EMS sorted by then, and with my new front mount I should be able to go hard and not be at the back of the pack like last time. I've had my front rotors skimmed and put greenstuff pads in. Should sort the problem I was having when slowing down from 180... Next problem is the petrol spilling out on the bends, I can't see anything wrong. I'll try and get a new filler cap, is this a common problem, anyone else suffer from petrol spilling on hard bends ?   24. A BIG THANKS to the guys that arranged this day. I'm home now, knackered and grinning from ear to ear. My in car camera didn't work out too good, nice shot of my face in the mirror and the road just in front of the car. I'll have to work on a better place to put it next time. Julian GTS-t
