I agree that the car may be overpriced - BUT 12g is a bit of a joke as you will be hard pressed to find a standard 32 in good condition for that price. This car has had a RB25 conversion and fully engineered!! im not trying to make any trouble here - just trying to see where the buyers is comming from.

thanks for that slow_r31 - everyone i have spoken to have told me that the MoTeC is illegal fot the same reason you have said. and no engineer will touch my car unless it is totaly stock. this i do not understand - because people often get aftermarket parts engineered so they are legal on the road??

yeh i think that mite be a good idea, because i do not want to spend all of this money for no reason - i have spent enough as it is. thanks for the advice.

RedR32: yes i have asked EPA directly permision if i tune the MoTeC to standard EPA standards. and i got a simple "no you cant". so i am not sure about keeping the MoTeC in. regards, jonathan

ummmm i am going to put the standsad ca18det box because the RB is in a 180. am i able to do this with the mod you have done to the AFM. because i am being sent to EPA. thanks, jonathan

yeh i am in the process of ripping the MoTeC out - all placeses i have rang so fare have quoted around the 500 mark to take it out and hook up the stock ECU. dose anyone have any contacts in melb that could do better?? thanks, jonathan

thanks guys. yeh most of the places i have rang have said about the 600 mark. but that is when the car is stock. the biger problem is i want to find someone who will do it with my MoTeC still in it.

hey mate nice car. i used to have a black m spec. but no have a 180 with an rb25 in it, but i miss the 32. so your car is a mix of both. would it be a problem to get the car to melbourne??? regards, jonathan

yeh i know the IM240 test. down here ford and holden are charging $2500 for it!!!! i have rang around a few other engineers today and have found 3 that will do my car as long as i take the engine back to stock form. it willl be a big job but i will have to do it. and they have quoted $300 - $600 to do it, so i am feeling alot better about the whole thing now :-). but now i have to look for alot of stock parts for the rb25s1 like: computer and loom, standard cat/exhaust, i have a turbo, cooler, air box, afm. SO IT BEGINS. jonathan

hehe. i just got a call back from 1 of the shops in clayton south. it is going to be harder than i thought. it is all about emissions, my car has a good amout of mods, plus it is running a MoTeC computer. not sure what i am going to do at the moment. ill ring around a few other places and get back to you guys. jonathan

yeh i have had all the above things cheked out, and more. the car was ready to be done but i had a fight with the guy so i didnt do it. ill keep you guys posted. jonathan
