  1. Ah bugger, ok I'll have to look into that in more detail. Cheers Yeh I'm going to be running a stock plenum so that will not be an issue.
  2. Hey guys I'm after a quality boss kit for my 32 Gtr, preferably in Melbourne area. Cheers guys!
  3. Thanks for the offer buddy.
  4. Yeh I realise that. My thinking is: the 26 is stock so you know it is put together perfectly at Nissan with the added piece of mind I have already tried and tested it. The 30 has been built by a shop and all it takes is one small thing to go wrong and bang...
  5. Yeh I realise this... What I'm thinking I mite do is: I'm on a good thing with a very reasonably priced fully built 30/26. I'll buy this engine and keep my 26 and do the oil mods and have it as a spare... If the 30/26 lasts say 10,000km I'll deem the build reliable and then I mite think of selling the 26?
  6. Cheers. Yeh if I am going to use the 26 I wouldn't be touching it internally. Just pitching if back in with oil issues fixed. If I'm going to start that sort of thing I may as well just throw in the 30.
  7. Hmmmm ok. Anyone here that has had both and can explain why it will be that much better apart from the moderate power gain?
  8. Thanks guys. It's all helping my decision.
  9. Hmmmm yeh. It is responsive as is. I just wonder how much more it can be with the 30 bottom. Sorry guys, this suggestion of keeping my existing engine has has thrown a spanner in the works and confused me.
  10. Budget isn't the issue. I just wonder if it is worth doing while everything is out... Who knows how long the stock bottom end will last? Yeh not that keen on the 2.8, I think I'd rather the 30l. Cheers
  11. Hi guys, I've been planning on a 30/26. The 26 I have has factory bottom end and worked head making about 500hp with all the bolt on to do so. I've been out on the track with it a couple of times and had no problems. Motor and box are out at the moment to put a extended sump and oil head drain. Bought the car being told the bottom end was fully built. When we took the sump off we discovered it is stock.... So do I just put the 26 back in or do I go a forged rb30/26? The car will be 90% track. Cheers
  12. Ok cool, valuable advice. Cheers! Also, I have a guarage 101 extended sump (rb26) with a pickup. Will this pickup work on the 30 bottom end?
  13. Thanks guys! Yeh I have had a rear of just about everything in the rb30 threads. Have many people had experience in leaving those bolts out? Or is there a kit that does line up? I thought the rips one did? Cheers
  14. Ok thanks :-). The other problem??? Do you mean the hight? Please do tell.
  15. Hi guys, the last 30/26 I was purchasing fell through... I'm looking at another now but it is in a 33gtst (rwd). What will I need to do to it to get it into my 32gtr. Will it just be a sump adapter? Thanks, Jonathan.
  16. Thanks guys I'll throw him a message.
  17. Do you know Greg's user name in this forum? Cheers
  18. Thanks guys! That help heaps.
  19. Yeh and much easier to make money make-sell. The engine is split in head, bottom and sump so my engine builder can have a look before I hand over the hard earned. Anyone else herd of them?
  20. Yeh that is the reason I'm asking the question... It's only a very small deposit so that is no problem. On the web site they have said they are continuing to make parts/adapters but have stopped building engines. Thanks for the reply buddy.
  21. Hi guys, I have just put a deposite on a very built 30/26. The place that built it is in NSW and was called pro engines http://proengines.com.au/packages.html Have you guys had any experience with them? Herd of them? I ask because they have shut up shop so I can't ask them about the build. Cheers
  22. The head has been re built with new factory items and stronger springs to go with the cams and a light porting.
