  1. Welcome, video of disintegrating Bridgestones not loading. Please rectify asap๐Ÿ˜€
  2. I've said before and I'll say it again. Love the number plate, how very appropriate ๐Ÿ‘
  3. Sounds like you're Greggin it again. It does seem like you've nearly sorted everything. Onwards and upwards. P.s thanks for the chuckle and making me feel good about my own car diy misadventures, lol. Carry on sir.
  4. If the danger to manifold light didn't come on, it's all good. Keep sending it and post more vids.
  5. Nice, video of over 9k rpm pull not loading.. VTEC YO.
  6. Better off just calling them.
  7. Was in the same predicament with just cars/AAMI, covered for 8k. Went to enthusiasts, now covered for 25k full comp for around the same price as the AAMI bomb insurance.
  8. This is precisely why i have refrained from tracking it but i probably will as the 33 is becoming too valuable to crash (wow, can't believe that's a reality). The skyline will always have a place, coz skidz. Every enthusiast needs skidz in their life and wrong wheel drives have no business doing skids. Speaking of the skyline, im going to put it on club reg soon. Vic is changing the age requirement from 25 to 30 years. Gotta get it done before October or wait another 5 years.
  9. That was fast and furious figure of speech. Was ยฃ50 3 day express via TNT. Got stuck in Singapore for 8 days. Turned up in just under 2 weeks. In the end i got genuine Renault parts for cheaper than i could have got aftermarket here. So it was still a win. Belt took me around 10 hours all up. Wasted an hour removing and refitting a heat shield i didn't really need to remove and a couple of hours working out why I couldn't get the tensioner to do it's thing. Removed and refitted that a few times. If i had to do it again, i reckon it could be done in 4-5 hours.
  10. Timing belt done. Not too bad of a job. Was like working on an SR20 cross RB. A couple of timing lock tools and a day of cursing the french and it was done. Engine lives on and no frogs or snails where harmed Horse shoe lock tool in place to lock cams in tdc position. A pin is then inserted into the side of the block and locks the crank in place. Overnight parts from ktec racing UK. No vat or gst paid. Stuff you Gerry Harvey. Old school way of finding tdc before cam lock tool and locking pin was inserted into the crank from side of block. Interesting story about that, later. The crank timing belt gear is keyed, the balancer isn't, neither are the cam gears. I was lucky I didn't have to remove the cam gears as the vvt pulley wasn't making sr20 noises and the cam seals weren't leaking. The only thing that i stuffed up on was putting the blanking plug back into the side of the block. There is another threaded hole close to it that is unused with the same thread and i put it in that. The engine had some positive crank ventilation for a day before i had to investigate why there was oil leaking onto my driveway. Quickly realised my mistake and rectified. All in all, not really any more difficult than an rb timing belt. If the cam gears needed to be removed, another lock tool would have been required to lock the gears together to undo the bolts. Still very diy able.
  11. For Uber eats delivery?
  12. Might try the same on my R33. There's a couple of sections that need some love, like most Nissan's of the era.
  13. How did the rail straightening work out. Did it improve it much?
  14. I have one I've removed from my car with 92k km if anyone is stupid enough to give me 2.5k for it, they can have it, lol.
  15. There is a guy doing reproductions of the nismo, trd etc. gauge faces and then converting + calibrating them to normal Nissan clusters for $600. So yes, there is non genuine clusters out there.
  16. Exactly what gtsboy has said is your best course of action.
  17. I don't see how you'd get a shaving like that from what you've done and since you say the head came back from a machine shop, I'd be thinking it's swarf the shop has left behind or somehow got there another way.
  18. Have heard that about titanium retainers on sr's. Pretty sure there was a few threads on NS back in the day
  19. I was more just trying to beat him to the advertising punch line but am keen to see how yours goes๐Ÿ‘
  20. Buy a speedtek gearset and this problem will be solved but if it's not please seek help elsewhere..
  21. It's alright boys, i got this. I may give a couple of those shops a call for a quote anyway but I'm pretty confident i can do the job. Just requires some timing lock tools, i have some detailed instructions equivalent to a Nissan fsm. Just like a Nissan.
  22. I just did some brake pads and odd bits and pieces, yes pretty straight forward. Next up is timing belt change. Someone at Renault forgot to put the keyways on the cam and crank pulleys. She'll be right, what could go wrong..
  23. My pedal doesn't rattle but has a squeek when used
  24. Details on zip tie fix. I need max jdmness in my life
  25. I remember seeing one at Phillip island a few years back, stock as a rock fitted with Bridgestone semis re55 i think. Ran 1:54's, my 33 with double the power and the extensive mods has run a best of 1:50.4. 54's with tyres is impressive
