  1. Nice stuff. Love the ice cream shot, lol.
  2. Just filed for voluntary chapter 11 bankruptcy to protect their long term future due to covid. Is being sold to a private equity group for $2.1 biliion. https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a34109553/turbocharger-maker-garrett-files-bankruptcy-protection/
  3. I've found your new car. If it lasts as long as the the previous one he supplied for you, you're laughing.
  4. There's a pipe at the rear of the engine that connects the two banks, the coolant sensor is in that. It could also be the wiring that goes to the sensor, that should be inspected. Here is a diagram with the location highlighted.
  5. Try unplugging the coolant temp sensor and then try starting
  6. Its usually crank or cam sensors. Google instructions on how to pull fault codes from the ecu and it should pinpoint which sensor it is. There's a dance you do with the acc pedal and ignition key. Best to use a stopwatch when trying to do it. All info is available on this site via Google.
  7. Man, that sucks. Very sad news, sorry it happened to you. f**ken Nissan's.
  8. Time will tell. It always does.
  9. Must have got the danger to gearbox warning light.
  10. I do remember seeing you on the infield a few times. Should be able to mow quicker now. I had an s chassis once, S15. It was a good lawn mower till it went too far and hit a tyre barrier taking out the whole drivers side. Oops. I haven't been able to look at grass the same way again.
  11. Yep, should of taken up scomo on cashing out 20k worth of super. Would of been half way there, lol.
  12. Excuse 1: been there twice over 5 years Excuse 2: street car bro, driven to and from track. Excuse 3: will chop you next time 4 sure after i go big NASA spec.
  13. Never hit the limiter or used the two step. Always shifted at 5k rpm and double clutched the way i should of, lol. @ActionDan they're my times he's on about. Winton was at your clubs track day a year or two ago on quite used kangs. I believe there was a bees dick between our times on the day. I've only been to winton twice, there is at least another second to find out there easily.
  14. All the 33's in vic for 20k are not really moving. I look at the ads and pick things wrong with all of them. Shouldn't be more than 10k really. Considering the current bullshit market, i value my car at $27999, never thrashed and only 97000 km on the factory Nismo cluster? which oops I forgot adds 5k value, so make that $32999. Bargain.
  15. Flutters gets the s l u t t e r s. Farken woosh.
  16. Doesn't appear to be. Chequered has a dynapack dyno. The result of this was on a mainline.
  17. You're famous, spotted your car in the last sprint on Foxtel. Had a bit of a moment while your car was on screen. Commentators even requested a replay of it. Other than that little boo boo, car looked like it was going and handling great?
  18. @Dose Pipe Sutututu This guy wants to know about dose, your expert opinion is needed.
  19. I've discovered that bouncing off the limiter in neutral for exactly 36.4 seconds clears all running problems quickly and effectively every time guaranteed.
  20. Didn't want to squint or waste any more time wondering.
  21. The red one is the vct solenoid, the grey and black ones are coolant temperature sensors.
  22. They don't care, when I asked them about modifications on the phone, the answer was if you want to do a twin turbo LS, that's fine. The only catch is, if your modifications where responsible for your accident, they would not pay out. Eg. You modified the brake system and it failed to stop the car, you drove with slick tyres in the wet. Etc. Your car will be fine. Give them a call and discuss your situation. They insured my car with a list of 30+ mods and agreed to the value i asked for without drama. Now, how good they will be when it comes to actually making a claim I can't answer. Some input from someone who has made a claim would be great.
  23. Maybe its an ultra low reading dyno, either that or something is seriously holding it back. An Atr45sat should be easily over 300rwkw on e85 even on 16psi. A member on here had that turbo on a 33 and it made 290rwkw on 98, around 18psi on jem's dyno. My own car has a HG 21u high flow. Made 260 rwkw on 98 18psi and 312 rwkw on e85 19psi and that's way smaller than an Atr45sat. Stock manifold, internal gate, return flow cooler, holds boost pretty good up top and iat is pretty good. Figures are on a hub dyno. Car has done at least 25 track days over the last few years, stock engine has held together well, compression is still around the 160psi mark. I recently had the head off for a suspected head gasket issue that was a wrong assumption. 23 year old gasket was still in perfect condition. Obviously i replaced it since i was there with a new oem gasket, serviced the head and added arp head studs. Didn't really need any of that. I reckon 300 rwkw on e85 is a happy place for a healthy rb25. As said above look at your data and try to pinpoint anything that doesn't look right. At the end of the day, power is not the only thing that makes a car quick. Setting up the car to turn, brake, grip and have a nice useable power delivery is better than a billion kilowatts. Ive chopped cars with way more power than mine at the track and have also been chopped by cars that have way less power. Lol.
