    You could probably afford to buy it but will struggle with the cost of replacing dodgey cdi injectors, back of engine timing chains, blocked dpfs and the rest. You should buy 1.

    Atm i have a box with left over 50% intima type d, pmu, winmax pads im working through. Trying to keep on budget lol but I'm always up for trying new things out so pm incoming for quote.

    Rear rotors ive cracked plenty of, quite frequently. Slotted,plain, dimpled they all suffered the same fate. Surprisingly the plains cracked the quickest but also had the harshest pads. Definitely heat related issues, the rears being smaller, thinner and getting less airflow. Im currently running some dim sim brand rda dimple copy rears. Yep copies of rdas, wtf. Have done a few track days and show no signs of cracks, yet.

    Agree with rda being great, especially for the money. Even plain rotors crack, see in your pic above, the little micro cracks. Once you have a lot of those, they start to join up and become the big gash. All rotors do it eventually, some just last longer than others. I just replaced a pair of $1100 stoptech 2 piece rotors due to micro cracks. Didn't feel like living dangerously any longer. Id been ignoring them for a while but recently got to the point where there was just too many to ignore any longer.

    Stock gasket is best here, the multi layer permaseal, cometic etc are much thinner than the OEM gasket which moves the whole exhaust in towards the head 5-7mm, consequently the holes for the exhaust support brackets then won't line up properly and will need to be modified to fit again. Mr Nissan did well with this gasket. Only advantage of the mls ones is they're reusable many times if the manifold comes off again, the Nissan ones tend to pull apart as it bonds itself to the faces. I still vote oem Nissan.

    Will need a 1km headstart, actually it's got some sort of linglong runflats on it. Make that a 2km headstart and it'll blow everything away. Or i could just bring a real car along. From recent sau Sandown track day.

    Good idea. Out of warranty euro is a big risk unless it's a known reliable model. Then it's just a calculated slightly smaller risk.

    Coolant top up does not sound good. I know of another bloke who bought a brand new s3 for his wife and from new was losing coolant, eventually audi pulled the head and fixed the issue. Not sure exactly what it was but its fixed now.

    Theres a bloke down in Melbourne tracking an audi TTRS. Only mods are brake pads, intake, down pipe and tune. Made 304awkw. Has lapped Phillip island in 1:48 and Sandown in 1:20 on street tyres (Pirelli p zero). Has been doing it for a couple of years now and had no issues other than wear and tear of brakes and tyres. That's quite rapid and looks like an everyday car, the only thing that gives anything away is the carbon intake that's probably worth about as much as my r33.

    Ive been running anti lag launch (sensibly if there is such a thing) it's been a couple of years, at least 100 antilag launches performed and had no issues so far. Recently had the head off, valves where good as gold. Had them cleaned and thrown back in. Unless your going for huge power it's not really required, if you're going to upgrade anyway, then go bigger. That will at least sort of justify the spend and aid flow and power.

    You need to run a resistor with them. Do a google or ebay search. I used some Phillips ones and then some chinesium ones on my audi, both worked although i never did the indicator globes.

    Na, bought about 5-6 weeks ago. Also nothing mentioned in ad, poor photos. A dike in Brunswick owned it.
