  1. On another note, isn't the gearbox the same aisin 6 speed that is found in s15's or is it a lower spec version of it? I was putting 415nm through my s15 and the box handled it fine. Edit You should speak to sau member mini wog i think it is who has been running a turbo'd 86 for a while now. Not sure if its still original standard box, i think it is. He recently inreased boost and power to around 220rwkw, runs r specs and frequently tracks the car, seems to handle it well.
  2. Actually, wheel torque is around the same as engine torque so you'll be in the safety zone until you can't control yourself from upping the boost and releasing those cogs to freedom [emoji6]
  3. They'll handle 190rwkw with a mature driver behind the wheel. MLR hopes so anyway. Lol.

  6. Too many amps for idle conditions. I think that pump may be cooked.
  7. Don't want to take anything away from the result but it aint 785nm. Dyno was not set to derived torque which is the accurate at wheel reading on mainlines. Its more like 550-570nm which is still pretty stout.

  10. Supercheap and spares box aren't the right place to be looking. Try kudos motorsports, if you still can't work out what you need, give them a call. Just jap and taarks are also good suppliers for skyline bits. Edit looks like gtsboy beat me to it.

  15. Sure a plazmaman pro series is much better than a return flow cooler but that's not the limiting factor here. Plenty people here have made reasonable power with them without running into the issues op here has.
  16. The return flow should have been good enough to provide much better results than what you got, so would definitely not be the issue. Dosepipe's suggestion above is a good one.
  17. What was the previous intercooler setup and are you sure the new one is more efficient? Do have iat readings? Is the intake tract and cooler piping internally clean or is there oily residue from blowby, excessive blowby can also cause pinging if substantial enough. Catch can can help here. As already stated e85 will help mask the issue but better to be sorted properly.
