  1. I had a quick look on EFI solutions website, you'll probably find the plugs you're looking for there. https://www.efisolutions.com.au/category_s/179.htm
  2. Fark, what a debacle. True Greg style. Glad you, Lex and the 34 all made it back in 1 piece. I've been running a dw300 in mine. Went that way to avoid the type of thing you've just experienced. Standard hat and plug. I can't remember exactly but I think I used slightly beefier wiring to the pump and crimped it on (pretty dodgy I know). Haven't had any issues other than melting a relay early on due to poor crimps on the connections to said relay. Redid them all using a proper pro grade crimper and no problem since. I think the dw or similar equivalent should do the job for you and greatly reduce another Greggin scenario.
  3. Looking pretty good, red stitching is nice.
  4. That's pretty cool that he likes it. My daughter's are scared of mine, it's too loud, fast and scary they reckon. I'm working on rectifying the situation.
  5. So, did you get it going again or did you become an overnight camper?
  6. It's a love/hate relationship. We know you really love it. Even GPT chat realised that, lol.
  7. Mi goreng, that's gourmet. I'm on ALDI noodles.
  8. Stock pistons brah, not happening. Lol. The most I'd probably go is hypergear hf bb upgrade in an op6 housing and only if the current snail shits itself. Will probably give another 10-15rwkw. My injectors are already just about maxed but could possibly handle the above. Other option would be like a 3076 or modern equivalent and keep power at 330rwkw or whatever the injectors will allow. Again only if I find myself needing to repair current turbo. Trying to make grown up, sound financial decisions.
  9. Fark man, I wouldn't want to be your bank account. By the time you're finished, this things going to be like a brand new car. Top stuff👍
  10. Forgot to mention, chopped a couple gai boys in a Golf R and GTI in my travels yesterday. These Zestino drift tyres seem to give really good straight line traction. Can almost put all the power down in 2nd gear which is really good. Hot or cold doesn't seem to matter.
  11. From the little googling I've done, seems to be the same here in Vic but you never know if they've sneakily added capability for you know revenue, I mean road safety purposes. We'll see if I get a notice in the mail over the next few weeks. I think I should be right.
  12. All in good time, been away on holidays. Took it out this evening up and down beach rd doing hectic flutters like a mad P plater, pissing off all the Karen's from Brighton types. Up to around 550km now and have been getting into it a bit. On my way home, was turning into my street, there was a couple young bogans in their commos sitting at a red light staring at the 33. Gave it a good clutch kick in 2nd and had it sliding down the street, bogans where frothing at the mouth. Felt fuggin good. Went back a few minutes later to check my work, can confirm 11's where laid. Sorry no video, working on it. A bit earlier went through one of those mobile phone/seatbelt camera things. I may have been over the speed limit a bit. Anyone know if those f**kers can dish out speeding fines too? Edit, these type of cameras
  13. Lol, we've all heard that before
  14. Been driving the 33 to work past couple of days, have clocked up 350km and decided to change the oil and filter. Going to run some cheap mineral oil for the next thousand KMs. Got some nulon 15w 40 premium mineral oil for cheap off eBay. $28 delivered. It arrived today. Looks like Fastway can actually deliver unlike couriers no thanks. Break in oil came out looking very clean as one would expect. I cut the filter open and was happy to not find any traces off stuff that shouldn't be there. New filter was fitted and oil filled. Noticed a small coolant drip past couple of days, was coming from lower rad hose clamp. Gave it a little more tension, all good again. Went for another little drive in the arvo, pretty close to 400km done so far. Haven't thrashed it's tits off quite yet, maybe after another 200km.
  15. Lol, I was pushed that a couple weeks back. Could of used something like that a month or so ago. A decent sized one is a fair amount though.
  16. I seem to recall my VT2 SS with LS1 6 speed getting freaking hot around g/box on long drives. Always assumed it was the box but thinking about it now, there was pacemaker headers either side of it going into twin cats. Greg your assessment of where the heat coming from, sounds about right.
  17. There was a guy who built exactly that, I think it might have been on NS.COM Still though, RX7 FD is ultimate. Would own anyway.
  18. Ice cold AC here, colder than both Audi's and wife's Focus. it's a beautiful thing, just saying, lol.
  19. Do not give me evil thoughts, lol. The 13B I bought around 25 years ago, was meant to go into an RX2 coupe project. Decided to temporarily run it in my daily RX4 coupe. It ran and sounded tuff AF at idle. Once you got on it though, the party stopped when it should've been getting started. At 5k rpm on it felt like it was running on 1 rotor, should of revved to 10k. A comp test verified compression was all over the place. It would require disassembly and assessment to see what is actually the issue. If there's damage to the rotors or housings it could be done for. Could still probably sell some parts off it. I remember going to buy it. It was advertised in the trading post as a rebuilt motor. Located in Corio Geelong, pretty rough area at the time. Me and a mate drove down there, we where pretty close, still on the freeway and a group of dirt bikes is on the road with us, all of a sudden a CR 500 wheelies past us. Mate and I where like, jeez Geelong aye. We pull up to the house and what do you know, here comes Mr CR 500. It's the guy selling the engine. Probably shouldn't have bought it after seeing him ride. He also had a, I think was a cook or Norman supercharger as well and I was contemplating what to get but went for the engine as that would've went in the RX2. Either that bloke stuffed up on assembly or was just dodgy AF and put together stuffed parts. Probably the latter, I haven't been game for 25 years to find out. I think it's time, lol. The engine itself was originally built and ported by lk tuning (Larry kogge, engine is stamped) who was prominent in rotary building and racing in the era. Was also a racing beat distributor so would of had access to their port designs. The porting in this thing should be ace. There's only so much Rob dahm you can watch. Have you seen the tear down of the 12 rotor some American built for his race boat, just so he could be different. That is just next level amazing. I don't think I've ever seen a 1 off to that level anywhere else. Seriously amazing. The guys name escapes me right now. Link to article about said 12 rotor Tyson Garvin is the guy who designed and built it https://www.motor1.com/news/675726/only-12-rotor-engine-in-the-world/
  20. Up to 200km now. Pretty sure rings are seated now but I'll give it another 100km. Gave it a few pulls in 3rd and 4th till around 5.5-6k rpm and 1 pull in 2nd to 7300rpm. Roll on skidded a bit. She feels good and definitely making the power. Got to 1.4bar, that's full boost. All good and loved it. I put the rear seats in too, no more knocking, it was the rear trims flapping about. Found a couple more clamps that I hadn't seated properly, fixed those up. Pretty chuffed with myself. Can now add successfuly rebuilding an rb25 to my mechanical achievements. Maybe I should go and get my TM racing 250 2 stroke dirt bike engine (once upon a time I thought I was Mr Motorcross) and Mazda 13B Bridgeport thats been left at my parents house and get on to fixing those. I'm sure that will make wifey happy, lol.
  21. Doesn't seem to be slipping, so it shouldn't be a problem. I did check the coolant level a little earlier and I was able to get almost another litre in there. We'll see how that effects the heater.
  22. I'd like one of those too, ultimate family vehicle, ain't happening though. I can only dream.
  23. Um, ZF-HP8 is the new hotness. Get with the program brah.
  24. Yes but when you buy that Nissan/Ryco filter it comes in a Nissan box labelled as Nissan. In this case it was in an Aisin box. A heads up would have been nice. If I had received it in an Exedy box I wouldn't have a problem if that's what Exedy supplied. I don't really care as long as it does the job as well as the Exedy did. 8 years of 300+rwkw with a fair bit of abuse. Time will tell as always. I have a swirl pot thingy, constantly self bleeding. If it is air in there it will sort itself out soon enough.
  25. Um, yeah 1 of those plastic retainers did fall off when I was trying to get the hoses on and it does look a little weird. I'll have to give it a better look.
