The only time i have any sort of issue connecting is when im in my driveway at home and my android stereo tries to connect to my home wifi instead of the vlink. Its not really an issue, as it automatically connects while im driving away but yeah just be aware that can happen.

Or as seen on mcm latest episode, use google translate live. Point your phones camera at what you want translated and it shows you instantly on the screen.

This one from this exact seller. A bit pricey but works and delivered next day. Connects to hob drive via wifi. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F262925934977

Keep building or buy something better?
admS15 replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Well, about the CA. You've come to the realisation the SR conversion done properly is going to cost you 15-20k and you don't like it. The CA is the simplest road forward and is easy enough to get horsepower out of. Do the math, its a no brainer. Will still be eligible for time attack efame. Win win. For me the cost of changing to an SR and the performance benefit doesn't stack up. Think about how many years your ca has been going, a simple freshen up should give you many more. Im f**king off out of this thread now, good luck with your deliberations. Another option, buy an Evo. K bye. -

Keep building or buy something better?
admS15 replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
As Duncan said and honestly who gives a crap about time attack rules, getting as much seat time as possible is where it's at. I vote keep the ca and freshen up, larger turbo for 250-270rwkw, leave everything else as is and just drive the thing. Keep it simple and if a ready built track car becomes available down the track jump on it then. My 2c. -

Keep the s13 and go ls1. Im sure you've seen that orange one that's done some rounds in that series you're doing. Plenty of cheap replacement engines, easy to achieve 300rwkw without turbos or e85, just a nice cam and thrash. -
Welcome, you've come to the right place.

I learnt from gts boy and stepper and did sfa and noticed no difference. Car drives fine with that type of movement, even at 240+ km/h. My advice is leave it alone unless the wheel is going in/out from bearing wear, that would require attention.

Up to 10% variation is quite normal. Yours is a little bit over that but still pretty good for a +20 year old engine. Heaps of things can cause the variation. From ring, bore, valve guide, valve wear to name a few. I would honestly be happy with that and not be investigating any further. If you had 1 down to 110-120, that would be more concerning.
-
Id be happy with that result.

What brake pads and which master cylinder are you using with the evo brembos?

-16 is weak. -45 is where it's at.

Yes, avoid cometic hg on SR's. Mine lasted a few years and then started to leak from combustion chamber into water jackets in a few spots and that was with arp 2000 head studs doing the clamping. I replaced it with a Nitto. Was pricey but meant to be the goods. I also hear good things about cosworth hg's and are a bit cheaper i believe.

If the plan is to run constantly on e85 9.5 or even 10:1. Will help off boost and lower rpm dramatically considering no vct and on e85 knock wont be an issue at all. Will need conservative timing and boost on 98 though.

Bills 33 Gtst Streeter/track Car
admS15 replied to admS15's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Looking back at the results, everyone in my group struggled. Ferarri 488 GTB (500k supercar) 1.41 Porsche 911TT Carrera S 1.39 VF HSV R8 1.40 Considering the above cars all have electronic trickery to help them out, the skyline still did ok with nothing, not even abs but yeah wasn't fun. Quickest cars on the day Porsche cup car on proper wets (driver has balls made of steel) 1.29 Ex HSV V8 Supercar on wets 1.33.4 A couple of Renault Clio 172's ran 1.42 and 1.43 but that was on a 95% dry track. In summary, got beaten by a bloody Clio 172 at Sandown. Demoralising.
