Good decision. The skyline must stay[emoji106] -
265/30/19 ad08r in vgc x 2. Around 70% tread remaining and fairly even wear. July 2013 production but have been stored correctly, wrapped in plastic and kept out of the elements. Soft to the touch. These retail at over $500 each brand new, asking $300 for the pair. Get yourself a bargain. Located in s.e Melbourne suburbs. Prefer pick up but will ship if you organise your own courier like e-go etc. Check below pics for condition and tread depth. Thanks for looking. $300 for pair Contact via pm or text me on zero 40229474 zero. Cheers Bill.

Yeah i figured that. My daily commute to work is only a 15 min drive and i take it easy most of the way waiting for the oil to get up to temp. By the time that happens, im nearly there. In saying that, i drove to work today with it open all the way, other than leaving my driveway and street. Wasn't too bad, it's great to have the option of shutting it up at the touch of a button. It's a fart cannon by the way. Oval would have been great but when your sifting through the 2nd hand market, beggars cant be choosers.

I just went for my first drive with the varex on the back of the HKS hi power (f**king obnoxiously loud version), its still ridiculous loud when open but quiet as a mouse while closed. Idle still has a bit if beef to it even closed. I think while commuting it will be mostly closed and only opened for the odd shenanigan or two and track days. For my total outlay of $260, 60 for used hks system and 200 for used varex + reach around for welding dude at work, im as happy as Larry. If it gives me the shits in the long run, ill revert to my trusty, rusty Nismo. Btw, the rocker switch from jaycar works ace, ive positioned it behind the cup holder, next to those useless coin holder slots.

Power up the motor with direct 12 volts and see if its still working. If motor works, then it will be the remote box playing up. In that case just hard wire it to a switch. Thats what ive done with mine.

Yes, much sex but popo loves the reinhard too and will inevitably lead to buttsex from popo without lubes. No thanks
-
Did you say rust? 21 year old Nismo mild steel pipe brah. 2 years on e85, still going strong but is too quiet. About to be replaced with a HKS hi power with a varex on the back so i can hear myself think when i need to or blast out the rb soundtrack.

Yep, oils aint oils. Will make some good workshop rags.

Bills 33 Gtst Streeter/track Car

Alrighty, cage is a jap spec safety 21 made by cusco. It isn't cams compliant as main hoop is 2mm under new cams regs diameter. Doesn't bother me as i don't enter any events where a cage is mandatory so its not an issue. It is a basic cage, yes no diagonal on main hoop but there is a removable diagonal that goes from drivers side main hoop to passenger side rear stay bar. Its not the greatest cage, agi is def better but it does the job and as said above is better than no cage at all, it us also quite stealthy on the street without the diagonal and if i wanted to i could remove the whole thing in around half an hour, which i recently did to get the quarter windows removed. Definitely better cages out there but better than nothing or a backyard job with questionable welds. Was also sourced cheaply and fits my bang for buck budget build strategy. If i was to become more serious and the car becomes much faster, then a proper comprehensive weld in cage would be in order for sure. As it stands, this will do for now. -
Thanks@Odium And a free t shirt to top it off.

Bills 33 Gtst Streeter/track Car

Yep, rear seat can be retained, although they are removed for track days for hektic weight reductions. I did have to modify (ruin/crush) the upper rear seat on the edges to get it back in but it's ok as i have a spare anyway. Having seats in makes a big difference in noise levels, i would not let passengers sit in the back though for safety reasons. Passengers comfortably fit but if something goes wrong and they hit their head on the bars it would be pretty bad. Heres a couple of bad pics i took ages ago. Seats aren't in atm so these pics will have to do. -

So ended up going to Sandown last weekend. Was a typical Melbourne weather day, from totally dry and sunny to fully wet and bucketing down as can be seen above. Couldn't improve on my pb, my tyres are pretty shot but in the name of $ saving, i'll use them again next time out. Still managed a 1.25 flat. Got a heap of pics from John at Trackside action photography this time, here they are. And a couple more taken by others and myself. -

Re, the aircon. I had a similar issue with my r33, would run intermittently. Ended up being a bad connection on the plug for the thermistor which is a little temperature probe thats in the evaporator box under the dash. Worth a look since they cant work out what's going on. -

Facebook, trackside action photography. He'll start putting the photos up when he has time to go through them. Most probably during the week.
