What injectors are in it?
-
May be flooded. I would check to see if you have spark. If it does, dry the plugs and try some start ya bastard. Something obviously isn't right considering it runs well then it doesn't. Do you have the software for the emu so you can see what's going on? There was someone over in Adelaide that is pretty knowledgeable with m35 and emu. I think its BoostdR.

Where are you located? Is it getting fuel and making spark? Fuel pump priming, ecu switching on?

Bills 33 Gtst Streeter/track Car
admS15 replied to admS15's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Time for a bit of an update. Nothing has happened in the terms of any mods, installed a new android head unit, Kenwood amp and some jaycar kevlar speakers. Sounds ok now. Also bought and fitted a greddy boost gauge to replace the busted apexi one i had, also fitted a grex gear knob. Tinted the led tail lights a darker red as well. Looks heaps better now. Managed to get to a track day at Sandown, it was raining all day, hail hitting the windscreen at 200+ km/h isn't fun. Best thing that happened all day was this photo And more recently i had some bodywork done. Ive never been happy with the rear quarters, it had heaps of imperfections and blemishes where the over fenders where moulded in, was also some paint bubbles forming around the quarter windows so i had it all fixed and the rear quarters and doors repainted. Haven't got any proper pics yet but these will do for now. -
The Build Of The Beast
admS15 replied to Hadouken's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Nice work. What pressure did you end up running in them? -
Lol, fyi you can get permaseal turbo gasket kits that include t3 flange, dump and other gaskets for less than $50 delivered. Less eith ebay specials
-
Looking good except for that dump pipe gasket, that belongs in the bin. Compare it to an oem or permaseal one and you'll see why. I suppose its in there now, once it lets go, u know what to replace it with.

Is anyone actually interested?

@Artic Choc has a r34gtt he is parting out. -
Does your car have an aftermarket intercooler and piping on it? The stock cold side cooler pipe has a nipple on it for boost reference. I connect boost controller to that. You may want to change your vacuum line to somewhere before the throttle body.
-
Time to put up some pics of how you've fitted it
-
Hell no These guys had it right..

Brah, you need 1 of these

Does your oil filter have an anti drain back valve. What filter are you using? -
Tyres you use(d) and how u would rate them
admS15 replied to ZigenGT's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Have heard they're good for hill climb as they work from pretty much the first corner. Good luck on the weekend and looking forward to your comments afterward. Im still rocking the taleb ss A050 from last year, doing Sandown in a couple of weeks, that should be the end of them. Im going to douse them with octopus grip, see if i can get a pb on their last run. -

Mid 30's sounds about right. If they're squeeling they prob need more pressure. -

How far off pb and what was pb set on? Also what pressure where you running? Apparently the ar1 likes higher pressures ive been told. -
Sounds pretty normal to me. Lots of timing at low revs, a lot less at max torque (4 - 5000rpm) and then inreasing a little up top.

If you're going to do track days then go the rbf fluid otherwise the super dot 4 is plenty good enough for street and hill runs. -
Nrma Vintage And Classic Insurance
admS15 replied to walkoau's topic in General Automotive Discussion
They just wont cover the cost of replacement of the said illegal or non agreed modifications in the case of a claim. I posed the question to my insurer about an un-engineered roll cage i have in my car, their policy clearly states they don't cover roll cages. That was the answer i got. Unless the insurer can prove beyond reasonable doubt that your modification caused the accident/incident, it will have no impact on a claim. -
Brake Disc + Pads for my 07 V36 Skyline
admS15 replied to magellows's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Rda discs. Cheap and good. Check ebay. Edit, it appears rda doesn't make discs for v36 and you are limited to DBA or OEM. -
Also using penrite ten tenths. It's done very well. Done about 7 track days on the same fluid, it's still in pretty good condition. I'll most probably flush and replace after next track day.
