  3. I had the exact same experience with the factory fuel hose after running 98. Small cracks in the outer skin of the rubber. I work for a rubber company, so I had the best grade of rubber we have extruded into fuel line size. See how that holds up. Each time I have run 98 I replaced the fuel filter afterward. I have 3 filters at home I've been meaning to cut open. I'll try get around to it this weekend.

  5. I've got no issue with cold start on e85. On really really cold mornings if i try and drive off immediately which i regularly do (trying to leave home with minimal noise @6am) it may stall but instantly fires up again and off you go. If i sit there for a few seconds b4 releasing the clutch there is never an issue. The secret is all in the short and long post crank settings. E85 requires a lot more fuel at start up than 98. Edit, looks like Greg beat me to it.

  10. I've put 98 in a few times just to purge/clean the fuel system and felt like punching myself in the nuts every time. Engine is so much smoother and lively on ethanol. i'd rather pay the premium but United are still price gouging kents.
  11. went to winton last year, left with full tank and five jerry cans @ 22l each. Total of 175lt. i didn't participate in the last session coz i cooked the brakes and still had to stop just before i got home and top up to make sure i made it. I easily burn over 100l at sandown which is just down the road. On track, usage is close to 1km/l #E85life #emptywallet #needunitedshares

  17. Yeah, it's pretty much the tried and true method. Simple,reliable and decent enough power with e85. I pretty much slapped together bits and pieces i already had and parts i was able to source for decent prices and ended up with this, worked well in the end. Ironically, the last couple of things i've done are similar to what you did recently in regards to upgrading the stereo system. I'll make a post about it when i get some time.

  19. JSAI aero does the 400r side skirts for 220 a pair. They're stuff generally fits quite well with minimal adjustments.

  21. Front bar looks alright, side skirts and spoiler make me want to throw up. Stock or 400r skirts with GTR rear spoiler would look good imo.
  22. Mine's the other way, smooth on cold start and then sort of lumpy stumbley when at full temp. I do run mine quite lean for 740's,around 15.2:1 in a bid to get some sort of economy out of it. On e85 it idles like a purring kitten, silky smooth.
  23. Flex will wake it up big time. How's it idleing now on 98 with the 740's?
