    Just received a letter from just cars. They won't issue any new policies after the 17/1/17. Existing policies will run until renewal is due and customers will receive a renewal offer from Aami 5 weeks before there policy expires. Waits for Aami to tell me my car is too modified. Lol.

    Yep you should of but the turbo is cactus anyway and would of soon vibrated itself to turbo heaven or hell depending how you want to look at it.

    your broken turbo is most probably a result of a foreign object hitting the comp wheel. I guess you've learnt the hard way, how not to do a boost leak test. You live and you learn.

    Steel wheel high flow will cost you $850 and will turn your broken turbo into a brand new turbo with warranty and potential for decent power down the track if you decided to go that way. Just some food for thought.

    Are you using the correct factory Nissan yokes, washers on the studs. They are intended to allow movement of the manifold as it expands and retracts from heat.

    If it aint broke don't fix it. That goes for the oil pump upgrade too. Save the $ and if the time ever comes that a rebuild is needed, do it all properly then. Meanwhile don't rev the thing to the limiter all day long and it should last a fair while longer. It hasn't gone for 27 years because its weak.
