  1. Pretty sure he's talking about ar1
  2. Furthermore, happy to report after a week of normal Street duties that the track day didn't effect the pads at all. Unlike other Street track pads I've used that have become noisy squeely junk after a good thrash. Sr[emoji106]
  3. X Rated porn. Just beautiful.
  4. 3.2l bottom end. Torque for weeks. Lol
  5. That's a lot better. I still reckon diy is the way to go. Oem gasket, arp studs. Save the 2-2.5k for other improvements, upgrades, track day fees etc. At least do a bit of research in what's involved. It's not that hard, just time consuming.
  6. And a cigar cutter
  7. If your mvss is correct that is. My Nismo speedo was showing 235, gps 221 and mvss from ecu log 202.( 221 being correct). Managed a 125.9 with wheelspin coming out of the slow corner after the back straight. 312 hubrwkw 475nm. Greg I reckon your car on full boost with traction and balls of steel, would have to go 250+
  8. Ok. Lets see what the other 2 quotes come in at and take it from there. I have a very good local mechanic that I trust and would recommend but is in the south east. If you get no joy from these other guys, I may just call him and get a ballpark figure for you.
  9. 5.5k is absolutely ridiculous and absurd. What are they rebuilding it with? Gold plated valves and guides. Assuming 1k-1200 for head reco, 5-600 for gaskets and studs. That makes 1800. So are they saying 3700 in labour cost. Lol. I suggest you get quotes from a different mechanic/workshop and maybe start looking at smaller (not big named places) and specify you don't want head reco unless it is absolutely necessary. Question, are you willing to get your hands dirty, you could potentially save thousands. option 1. Remove hot and cold sides and have towed to shop. Save $ on labor. option 2. As above minus tow to shop and try enlist the help of a local SAU member to help you remove the head. Then take it to head shop for inspection/skim $80-100. Clean, re assemble with new gasket and studs. option 3. Pay the ridiculous 5.5k (I would rather go jump in a lake) Option 4. Burn it. Lol Where abouts are you located?
  10. just looked through the ad, those ones are 2013 production. Then they have 2014 for $20 more.
  11. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-x-New-245-35-19-NITTO-INVO-Tyres-ULTIMATE-HIGH-PERFORMANCE-2453519-/291888597464?hash=item43f5ea89d8:g:zzAAAOSwzLlXhtpz
  12. Now it makes sense. Im not really familiar with 19" sizing but obviously a 245/35 isn't considered a 'common' size. St Gorge does seem very well priced for the invos in that size. I'd be buying, job done.
  13. Phone is still king when you want to buy stuff quickly. You could of made the call and got the answer in almost the time it took you to write the email. Not to mention your email being ignored because some lazy prick thinking your a potential time waster. I made 2 phone calls to two tyre shops, got a price I couldn't believe and secured the last available set of the tyres I wanted. Id still be waiting for the email response I reckon. Sometimes the old ways are the good ways. What size tyres are you after btw?
  14. The paint is in fantastic nick for its age and yeah the silver pops nicely with the autech chrome bits and wheels.
  15. Fark man, thats steep.
  16. Yeah it comes up pretty good after a wash for a 13 year old car. I wish every car Ive ever owned was like this one.
  17. yeah I think that was me
  18. Fix yours on the cheap and drive it till it won't drive no more. Probably a long time away.
  19. They grip well, last well but are seriously noisy f**kers and only get noisier with age. Excellent bang for buck.
  20. I have used this method on an sr20 and also coated the gasket with copper spray for good measure. I was sceptical about copper spray but a reputable and we'll respected mechanic/engine builder advised to use it, his words where that if it was a fresh build and the block had been machined he wouldn't but in the case of block still in car it was advisable and would seal any possible imperfections.
  21. Went to sandown on saturday. Car ran strong all day. The morning sessions where wet as and a bit of a waste, i could of went faster with some oars and floaties. The afternoon was dry and the times tumbled. The 33 went 5.5 secs quicker than its last sandown and 2.3 secs faster than my own pb. Ended up with a 1:25.94. Was pretty stoked with that. Race chrono says theoretically i could have been in the high 24's which is quite believable as i messed up the exit of the slow corner at dandenong rd. I think the car could probably do 22-23 in better hands as it is. Had no issues throughout the day and the bonnet was only lifted for a looksie. The intima sr brake pads and rda 324mm discs worked well with some 35mm agi pipe ducts i rigged up. Video footage below.
  22. That was my boat behind the coilovers. It was sweet sailing all day and in the morning literally
  23. Don't you know SR = super reliable [emoji3]
