Post Track Day Q's: Rotor Wear, Gearbox Oil, Ps Pump, Manifold Nuts

Yeah it's actually called tee kay. There's another version called liquid intelligence. They are basically a chemical solution that reacts to combustion gas. Def try the cap first. -

Try changing the rad cap as a dodgy cap can cause what your describing. Otherwise you could do a tk test which will check for combustion gasses in the coolant. You could also do a comp test to see if anything obvious shows up. -

As said above, bleed the brakes properly. That is your current problem. R34 brakes work pretty good. -
I'm pretty sure the power fc has a self tune mode for idle and ac idle. It's been a while since I've had one but from memory you leave the car idling for around 10m and then turn lights on and ley idle again, then ac on and idle again. If you google, you shall be able to find the exact instructions on how to do that. May or may not fix your issue but definitely worth a shot. You can do it yourself and it's free.

R34 GTT front brake disc recommendations
admS15 replied to viper2002's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Would've saved 100-150 buying unslotted/drilled and done the same thing. Brake fade is caused by too much heat and boiling fluid. Slots aren't magically going to drop temps by 200 degrees. Better spending the extra $ on quality pads and fluid, they will give you much more resistance to fade than some slots but if it makes you feel better, yeah slotted rotors are great. -

Maybe not but they don't really offer any benefit except costing a heap more. Cross drilled rotors offer a benefit but also crack in extreme conditions. Plain rotors are cheap, strong and get the job done. If you need cooling, slots will do bugger all, ducts feeding the rotor vanes are where it's at. -

Just wait until next week mate. Bed the new pads in on the new rotors. Get them delivered to your door and no need to waste time on picking up. -

The rda warehouse is in keysborough. You can't buy from them direct but if you buy through a dealer, you should be able to go and pick up. I usually buy through online performance Hallam. They usually do decent pricing on plain rotors. You will have to pick up tomorrow though as both places are closed on weekends. -

Wheel fitment question
admS15 replied to Ed.williams5's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yep all of the above but they where the most mass produced skyline ever, which means plenty of cheap cars and spares available. No need for care factor. Crashed it at the track, buy roller for <1k and start again. Perfect track car. they drive better than a 32 too but yeah they're dog ugly. -

So have mine and many others. They are good bang for buck and within your price range. Go for the plain unslotted version. -

Unfortunately, its the way a lot of people roll these days. May as well offer you a dim sim and half a piece of flake. It is frustrating I know but eventually you get a decent person making a decent offer. Its f**ked but that's the way its becoming.

They have the buy 3 get 1 free offer running again atm.
