  1. try nick from ultrafine bodyworks: 75 keys road moorabbin ph 9532 3370 Or any body shop, but ultrafine specialise in nissan imports
  2. it depends what car it's from r32 gts-t rb20det's are green, and are the same as r33 rb25det afm's But there is at least one other colour, from earlier cars which used rb20det's just to add.. part number is 22680 02U00
  3. standard r32 gtr wheels are 16x8 +30 offset use wheel offset calculator to work it out http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html
  4. yeah, mine had it aswell, but i removed it apparently, press down on highway driving, it gives you better fuel economy (supposidly)
  5. welded diffs usualyl last about 6 months (when drifted regularly) before either the welds break, or the main gear or driveshaft pinion breaks. skyline axels/driveshafts are very tough, i've never heard of one break with locked diff
  6. i would run lower tyre pressure. I run 38-40psi on rears in order to make it *easier* to drift, my fronts are normally 32-34psi - ish so that's probably something to try
  7. <cough> r33 gts-t's are illegal on p's in victoria end of story! some cops don't know, but if you get a cop who knows a bit about imports you'll get owned r32 gts-t's on the other hand are completly legal
  8. write vicroads a letter, that way, the will send you a response in writing, so if you get owned by cops, you can take it to court or whatever.
  9. yeah, 3.5inch would have been better than 3inch. a smaller exaust will only rob you of performance, it won't give you any advantage in throttle respose or low-down torque. In N/A's maybe, as backpressure is required, however in turbo's the turbo creates ample backpressure If you are experiencing lack of power. TAKE IT BACK and tell the guy who installed it all. As they haven't done their job properly if this "upgrade" is giving you poorer performance.
  10. probably rooted coilovers. A good set of coilovers will cost around $1k so the price you got is reflective of the condition. Do they make any knocking sounds? or feel bouncy? or do u notice any leaks? those are signs that they are blown. There are a few places who recondition coilovers. ring around suspension places.
  11. from what i've been told by police officers. You have to obey the road rules of the state that you drive in. It's just like going to the US and getting a ticket for driving on the left side of the road. saying "well it's legal where i come from" isn't gonna cut it!
  12. well, you have 2 choices, rebuild the viscous, or go aftermarket (which means buy a mechanical lsd). Aftermarket will be much better and will last longer than a reconditioned viscous. Garage-13 sell the Kaaz ones for a good price ~$1,100 for a brand new mechanical lsd 1.5way or 2way http://www.garage-13.com/diffs.html
  13. this is INCORRECT R32 GTS-t 's have a viscous LSD
  14. according to victorian road rules, the car you want to drive is illegal due to power/weight. the "if it's the only car your family owns" rule is designed to allow an exception for someone whose family owns a car which is overpowered, and the person has no chioce but to drive it. It emplies that the owner of the car (ie the parents) can legally drive it. regardless of if the car is registered in victoria or not, you are still committing a crime if you drive it in victoria
  15. r32 gtr bonnet will fit but you need to use the r32 gtr latch aswell front bumper is interchangable
  16. starter motor may require reconditioning. worn brushes / dirty commutator in starter will cause more problems when it's warmed up generally
  17. did you do the conversion yourself? or did you get a mechanic to do it. take it back to the shop....
  18. heater core is behind dash/glovebox on passenger side. There are 2 coolant lines going into the firewall on passenger side (which go to the heater core), you can try removing them, and plumbing it back. It sounds like there is a problem with the climate control which is making it always heat. It wouldn't be radiated heat from engine bay coming through.
  19. yes, rewiring the loom is the main problem. And if you use the rb25 gearbox you also need to modify the tail shaft.
  20. avatar changed.....
  21. hmm, I cant remember 100%. but here's what I think is happening This is the second corner at calder park after the back straight, which is more of an S-curve. (basically a left corner then a right corner) So im exiting the left corner on opposite lock, entering the right corner. (What happens next, is back of car swings around to left, whilst i reverse steering direction to cover the right hand corner) hard to explain - im probably getting left and right mixed up..., http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/merli...ypig/drift1.jpg here is a link to the full pic. I think the avatar makes it look like just one big right hand corner, and im steering in same direction of corner (which yes, that would be some major trying to overcome undertsteer shit right there) maybe i should change my avatar.... makes me look like a noob
  22. Firstly, I wasn't having a go at anyone when i said "maybe track drivers are jealous of drift publicity". I was just throwing up an idea. I'd been hoping to have my car ready for Winton but I got a call from the place who is fixing my car and it won't be ready for about 4 weeks So i'll be pit-crew for a friend / video footage. Are you talking track days or drift at calder??? passengers!!!!
  23. speaking of drift... If anyone vic is interested Sat 24th at winton is gonna go off!!! http://www.fulllock.com/ for more info There is also a thread in the vic/events section
