  1. aren't gtr headlights the same as gts-t ones??
  2. I have a welded diff. it's the best mod i've ever done! mine has lasted since about march, and i've been drifting it 3 nights a week... still going strong.
  3. PSI_GTSII, where can u buy a spool for a r32 skyline diff? I've looked and haven't found anyone who sells them. My understanding of how a spool works, is it replaces the spider gears inside the diff, but effectively does the same thing as locking it up. I don't see how you wouldn't get any more or less understeer as with a locked diff......
  4. ecr033 check that your pm box is not full, because I saw alex today, and he said he tried to pm a couple of people and their pm boxes are full (when the forum changed over max inbox size went from 200msgs to 100msgs

  6. alex has been in adelaide this past weekend and weekend before competing in drift-nats & at mallala, so he may have been a little slow responding to things. Just send him another email, or msn him, and i'm sure he'll help you out. (his details are on his website)

  14. Sorry but I have to dis-agree. The Lever adjuster is hidden under the console for a reason. If you do the adjustment at the rears properly you should almost never have to touch the lever one. Neil. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hmm, well why is it there at all then? my handbrake cable was stretched a bit from too much... uh... use. and i used the nut on the lever to tighten it up, and works great. curious as to why using that one is bad??? or what the difference is??

  16. yes, i'd also like to know what sort of workshop you would go to to diagnose this sort of problem. I have +1 camber on left hand front because of a slight ripple-strip incident. I replaced the lower control arm and it helped, but hasn't fully fixed the problem.
  17. cool, i'm using the redline stuff in my gearbox and it's made a big difference. as far as diff oil goes, i may as well be using mud! it's welded..........yeahh!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. hehe, I was running a set of rims on the rearonce, which were so close it shaved the paint off the "NISSAN" letters!!!!!
  19. if you don't know what you're doing, best get someone to do it. It's not technically difficult, but it's a pain in the arse, and most of the bolts have probably never been removed before. Jack car up and support rear with jackstands, You have to unbolt the tail shaft, and both half shafts, then unbolt the mounting bolts for the diff. If you have hicas i think the hicas rack gets in the way, so u have to unbolt that also. Make sure you support the diff with a jack, as it's bloody heavy, and don't drop it on yourself. once you have the diff housing, you need to take off the end cover, drain the fluid, removing the side shafts from the diff can be a pain, have to unbolt the two thingos that hold the diff centre in, then pry centre out with a crowbar or something..... then put it all back together, make sure you use liquid gasket or something to seal the end cover on the housing.. and put it all back together again! perhaps not for the weak harted, though if you know a back-yard mechanic, probably charge u $100 to do the changeover. a workshop will probably charge 200 or so perhaps. (i asked a workshop out of interest how much to weld up my stock lsd, and got quoted $300 to remove diff and weld it up)
  20. re the coilovers, a bit of brake fluid can help free the height adjusters if they're stuck, just grab a big screw driver, and a hammer and besh the crap out of them until they move!....
