18" WORK Equips wheels
MerlinTheHapyPig replied to WLDGTR's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
how did you go with the offset? pics to [email protected] thanks -
Thanks for the advise. For what it's worth, we have been selling these exact pumps for a year or so and only one has been returned so far, this was because it had been wired up incorrectly and we refunded it (even though it was installer error). (i honestly don't know how u can confuse a red wire for a black wire but there you go...). These are very easy to self-install however if you are uneasy about these sorts of things a mechanic shouldn't charge more than half an hours labour to do the job for you. I've had mine for about 2-3 months and the car gets a fair beating on track. has held up with no problems what-so-ever.

^ yeah, i just bought one which guy at wreckers told me was from a r33. same part numbers etc. the one you want to avoid are the ones from earlier rb20det's (black top) from r31 skylines and the like. i think they're blue or purple sticker or something...

Someone asked me for a picture of the stock fuel pump, so here it is: pretty sure it's stock Nissan, it has a nissan symbol imprinted on it. manufacturer is JECS. It looks in pretty good shape, was suprised how clean it was when I removed it, however i guess fuel tank doesn't see much dirt... I am currently taking orders for Walbro's, I have some more arriving tommorrow or early next week, so get in quick, otherwise there may be a week or two wait if I run out.

jeez, 2 resonators + silencer on a 3inch still 98db???? that's pretty loud... my 3.5inch straight through cat-back with cannon style muffler is quiet-as with a silencer in it just a suggestion, you might want to consider something like this: http://www.garage-13.com/apexi.html Apexi ECV - it's a butterfly valve that u put in exhaust system, and you can open / close it via an in-cabin switch to reduce/increase noise level. Worth a look.... Either that, or sell your current exhaust and buy another one and hope that it'll be nice and quiet!

I have a small number of fuel pumps for sale. These are in-tank units and suit most cars - Skylines, S13's etc. Walbro 255L/hr Part Number: GSS - 341 Includes instructions, everything needed for easy DIY fitting (30-60 minutes). standard fuel pump failure is very common in older cars (eg s13's and r32 skylines), and can lead to killing engines. If yours is standard it is definantly a good idea to replace. As a comparision - walbro = 255 litres per hour gts-t pump = 135 litres per hour gtr pump = 190 litres per hour Price is $165 please PM me to order and I can send you bank account information. Shipping is $10 Cheers, Tim

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=76703 ^ I have a few replacement fuel pumps for sale in the above thread. Or, i'll sell you my old stock gts-t pump for $60 (nothing wrong with it, i just replaced it with one of the Walbro's as per above...)

Rb20det dissappointing dyno results
MerlinTheHapyPig replied to legend01's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hmm, is it one of the hybrid copies floating around? they tend to be very free flowing yes, but they don't actually cool well. maybe have a look at intake temps -
Rb20det dissappointing dyno results

what cooler is it? that's where i'd start looking -
2-way mech diffs will chirp on corners unless clutch is in. (as soon as u put foot on clutch, it will un-lock) fully locked diffs ie spooled/welded will chirp always regardless. Trust me, you'll know if it's a fully locked.... factory diff is a viscous lsd, which will only lock under decent load.. and depending on how worn it is, only locks some of the time... for a good article on diff's goto http://www.garage-13.com/difftech.html if it's a 1.5 way, it will only half-lock on deceleration. hard to tell unless you drift it. only other way is to take out the centre and look at the shape of the plates.

would probably best consider widebody on a gts-t. 12's with 13mm offset will stick out rear guards on 32gts-t by a good 6cm or so. should be ok clearing coilovers though. check out http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html for wheel-offset calculator to compare your current rims with these man, these rims are pimp! suprised they haven't been sold yet good luck with the sale trent, (lol @ skyline owners are scared of decent rims!) -tim
-
for the record, they fit easily on the rears. they clear the coilovers easy, and stick out about 2cm from the guards! nothing a bit of guard flaring & lowering/camber won't solve...

Possibly Worlds Cheapest Coil Overs
MerlinTheHapyPig replied to R332B's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
http://www.slidewizeimports.com/products/i...index.turn.html ^ zac is selling HD system coilovers from $1295 new w/12pt damper & height. camber plates if your car supports it that's prety damn cheap for new. cheaper than the ones you mentioned, no idea if they are better than the more well known jap brands (cusco, apexi, tien etc.) -
has anyone tried running 18x10 +27 offset rims on a r32 gts-t rear? 32 gtr rims fit fine, they are 16x8.5 +30 offset according to calculator The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 16mm LESS The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 22mm gtr rims clear my suspension pretty easy, so im thinking im gonna be alright. not worried about them sitting out from guards, i can always flare them out. i can go 5mm or so spacing if i need it. but dont wanna go much more. so by my logic, they should fit alright, but i'd like to know if any1 has used this width/offset on a gts-t and had trouble getting them to fit?? (btw this is for REAR only, i know i dont have a chance in hell fitting on fronts....)
