What Tyres?
PaulReeves.com - GPOWER.TV replied to N3ptuNe's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
(1) So how does the offset work? The more lower the number the better to clear the guards? Or is higher the number of offset the better? (2) Can I run wider rear than fronts like the GT-R does then? -

Hadouken..I was referring to the specs of the above rims, if they would fit my PV35 Sedan or not... But I done a Google search just now & found an excellent web site (www.Wheel-Size.com/) http://www.wheel-size.com/size/nissan/skyline/2006/#trim-pv35-jdm It shows year by year & model info what can fit.... Bolt Pattern on all V35's is 114.3mm! Tyres for Nissan Skyline 2006; Diameters: 16'' - 19'' Width (mm): 205 - 235 Tyre aspect ratio (%): 40 - 65 Smallest tyre size: 205/65 R16 Largest tyre size: 225/40 R19 Rims for Nissan Skyline 2006; Bolt pattern 5x114.3 Diameter: 16'' - 19''; Width (inches): 6.5 - 8; Offset (mm): 30 - 45. Does anyone run 19's on their PV35??? Comments please??? Or shall I stick to 18's for the track? If so, what width of the rim & offset shall I get not to touch the guards or shall I ask Taleb Tyres @ Tempe regarding this query??? Ta. -

Don't know why I could re-edit my post??? But of course it's a 350GT (Does no one read the profile stats on the left of the user? Lol) I was wondering how wide can I go with 17's before I'd have to change to 18's? Has anyone had problems (tyre scuffing side wheel guards) when running 18's on Track Days??? Because when I changed 17's to 18's on my HSV Clubsport-VR, they scuffed my guards? Had to bend out the guards to stop it, lol... Also would anyone know these details below; 17" Rim Width? ie. 8" PCD/Fitment Pattern? 5 x 120 Offset? ie. +42 Many thanks for the help guys... -

Yes I was referring to the projectors. The HID Bulbs sit behind the crystal projector lens. I failed at the ID Inspection instantly with my 1981 F-350 HID Kit & Aftermarket Headlight Units... In reality they were bright, especially stopping at night at city traffic lights. I would put my parkers on instead when sitting behind other cars at traffic lights as it blinds them otherwise or they complain!!! While passed it with the 350GT at the ID Inspection, but was told coil-overs wouldn't! So now Sot Kavuki of Rory Thompson Services will be measuring my Eyebrow Heights comparing original to aftermarket shock absorber distance travel, just what Service SA is requesting to be on the Engineers Report!
-
Yes you're referring to the 'Eyebrow Height Measurement'. I had this measured by a NSW Engineer, but then he said he had to register to something to be able to do it. But when I was in Service SA the 'vehicle standards' dude in there said he was already registered. And once on the phone when I was with my NSW Engineer. So who knows why he didn't want to follow up on it! He laughed to find out that SA even required an Engineers Report for Coil-overs!!! lol I have got x3 different quotes for doing my Adjustable Coil-overs in Adelaide so far

Hmm I get ya... Unfortunately mine are height-adjustable. They have been set higher than the 100mm legal height last month by Heasmans Suspension using laser. I also have Bi-Xenon headlights which they could fail me on, but when I was there in January I think they passed that after a short chat. What car did you bring in?

Can anyone please tell me how to clean the yellow tinge looking crap off the exterior of the headlight lens? A tinting place used 'fly spray' on my mums car, that worked, but not on my set of lens!!! Anything else works or how to get them cleaned/restored to near new again? Because the eBay Angel Eyes (aftermarket ones) only fit the Coupe models!!!

Hi peeps. Would anyone have a pair of 350GT Sedan standard Shockies (in NSW, ACT, VIC or SA) for a weeks hire or to sell to me so that I could pass the Service SA inspection without the need of buying a new set only to take them off afterwards??? Just wanting to know your thoughts. Since service SA is strict in road safety regarding new interstate registration. If I don't go ahead in getting the coil-overs engineered would there be a chance that the insurance company not pay out the claim if the vehicle gets into an accidental write-off? Also any favourism of an Engineer in Adelaide that you guys have used on your G35's (350GT's) previously to get any compliance issues fixed up to be roadworthy again??? As I am getting big differences cost wise from one engineer to the other about complying the coil-overs! Or anyone know someone who is a licenced SA Chartered Professional Engineer in NSW??? Many thanks
