  1. Used to be longer but they said it was too dangerous after a few accidents. I crossed the finish line just before the top of the hill at 186 km/h and it felt like i had just left the ground or the suspension was at full stretch hence me taking a big breath as it was unexpected.

  6. This is exciting times for you. I think being honest is best as you have already said that this type of job does not come up often. If you lie then this job probably will never come up again for YOU. Dishonest employees always get found out eventually. I say this as a parent and a small business owner. When i worked for a very large bank i was employing staff for a position and the best perosn got the job. She was 8 weeks pregnant and was upfront about it. As she was the best person for the job and we were experiencing growth the 2nd pick got a contract job starting at the same time and was to finish when candiate 1 came back from unpaid maternity leave. win win As it turned out candiate 1 did not come back, candidate 2 still woks there and i left 7 years ago. Life is strange. Good luck with it all.
  7. I have heard that there has been some fantastic success with these especially for drift but am yet to chat to someone in WA who has had success in grip but i would be keen to and also find out how they did it. I may have made a mistake but at the time the decision to change has been rewarding for me. My previous R33 was quicker with bilstein struts and king springs. This car once changed over to the bilstein coilover setup was much much quicker but more importantly was 200% more stable and predictable. It was able to keep a big horsepower r32 GTR behind it for 3 laps. But are opions are like aholes, we all have one! My 2c is that a great suspension setup that suits you will beat a big hp setup most times when it comes to circuit. On the street the HSD's were very stiff and extremly hard to read. My new setup for me anyway is much easier to read and more responsive to simple changes like tyre pressure adjustments. I will report back in approx. in 6 weeks once i have the new swaybars, camber, caster and pineapples installed along with all new bushes all round.
  8. Had the Hr's. These were recommended for street and track. They were too stiff for the road and track unless your into drift.
  9. Leave them in the garage if it is a daily. I put them in and then sold them after less than 500k's
  10. Not system critical so who cares.. Try not to shoot those that try to help anyone regardless of cost. Sounds like someone has got their period....
  11. You paid for it? lol
  12. I think the point here is that the OP bought a car with a aftermarket tune. He is now chasing a issue with the car and wants to have the tuned by his preferred tuner. The oringial tuner will not release the PIN NO MATTER WHAT. This is the part i disagree with. I think if i bought a car knowing or not knowing that the ECU is locked that i would want to take the car to my preferred tuner and not be locked into the original tuner as my tuner would no doubt remap the entire ECU to the way i now want my car to be and not the previous owner. Also if i want to add or remove mods that my preferred tuner should be able to make the adjustments to the ECU. If the original tuner will not give code to me then he should give it to my new tuner, take note of time and date which would release him from any responsibility to said tune. Not releaseing code NO MATER WHAT would in my view be anti competitive and would cost me thousands to replace said ECU just so i can freedo to do with my car what i want with new tuner. my 2c for what it is worth!

  14. LOL seems like a fair price for an UNKNOWN part. It is what i was going to offer for unknown brand.
  15. Just been to the mechanic to ask his opinion. He said that it is working fine and is doing it's job as a catch can. He also said that if i block off the PVC pipe then i will have idle and running issues etc. Rowdy - the reason is that the mechanic advised this was the way to set it up. It is there to catch oil if i have a big issue and to allow the engine to breath when at the track. ahh 33 s2 - my mate will be happy to buiild to your specs. if you are interested you can PM me your details and i will pass onto him. I am not a mechanic so have to trust what the workshop says as they do a fair bit of work for drift, track and road cars predominatley Jap imports.

  17. I don't count...LOL Was at the track yesterday and all i know is that i used 45l for 105km, thats boostin it for ya.
  18. this is true but I never said it was legal! This car is orientated to track duties and very rarely sees street use, usually only going from home to tuner and back so not a real drama for me.

  20. I just intstalled this the other night, 100% vent to atmosphere but car is slowly moving towards track duties. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Cu...ch-t306457.html
  21. I thought i would would share a few pics of my custom oil catch can. It is 2.5L. My mate knocked it up for me fairly quickly so it has not been polished yet. Excuse the engine (it needs a degrease) as it has been in the garage for about 12 months not really going anywhere. Happy for comments.
